Avis : Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi

Check-in was smooth and easy. We parked in the underground garage (not too many spaces - but it never filled up during our stay). We arrived a few hours before the check-in time. While we waited in the lobby, front desk staff came to our seats to complete our checkin-in, and explain the facilities. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was a private hot tub on the balcony, 2 rooftop pools, drinking water dispensers throughout, and a small yoga studio. There are a lot of eateries in the area, as well as several 7-11's and Family Marts. Our accommodation package included a good breakfast buffet, and a very nice hotpot dinner with lobster, scallops, sliced fish, excellent beef, noodles, and ample vegetables & enoki's. I highly recommend including both meals in your room package.

Warm friendly service. Clean rooms. Breakfast is good with a wide variety for all palates. Happy Hour at the lobby from 5-7pm.

Our 2 nights’ stay was well above our expectations! We had a late check-in as we met with unexpected delay due to road works at the mountains in Yilan. Reaching the Wellspring feeling weary, we were delighted with our room upgrade upon arrival. The thoughtfulness, tasteful furnishings and details in the room were a delight while the cosy private onsen was a wonderful highlight! The buffet breakfast had a spectacular spread and was indeed scrumptious, just as I had read in the reviews before I made the reservation. We absolutely loved our stay at Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi. My family had a wonderful stay here! They have good facilities, friendly staff facilities, we love the Japanese themed hotel and enjoyed the hot spring bath a lot!

Very clean room, although a bit small. I loved the breakfast spread - very yummy options from stewed beef in Japanese style, fresh fruits, curry, eggs in many ways (soft-boiled, scrambled etc.), congee. The spaces to work in were comfortable and the WiFi was very stable and fast. There are great amenities available from the pool and gym, as well as complimentary Happy Hour / snacks / free flow coffee and drinks. Highly recommend this place. I would stay again!

Hotel Review: Jiaoxi Wellsprings Hotel (Family Stay) Our family recently stayed at Jiaoxi Wellsprings Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience for both adults and kids. The combination of modern comfort, private hot springs, and a great location made it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. Location & Convenience The hotel is centrally located in Jiaoxi, just a short walk from Jiaoxi Train Station and close to local restaurants, night markets, and family-friendly attractions. The convenience of having everything within reach made our trip much easier, especially with kids in tow. Family-Friendly Rooms & Amenities We booked a family room, which was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The highlight for us was the private in-room hot spring tub, which allowed us to enjoy the hot springs as a family in a comfortable and private setting. The kids absolutely loved it! The beds were comfortable, and the room had all the necessary amenities, including slippers and yukatas, making our stay even more enjoyable. Hot Spring Facilities Apart from the in-room hot spring, the hotel’s rooftop open-air hot spring was a fantastic experience. The view of the surrounding mountains was breathtaking, and the warm mineral water was incredibly soothing after a day of exploring. It’s a must-visit, especially in the evening. Service & Hospitality The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating to families. They provided excellent service, from check-in to check-out, and were always happy to offer recommendations for nearby attractions and food options. Breakfast & Dining The breakfast buffet had a good mix of ********* and Western options, catering to both adults and kids. While the selection was decent, we would have liked to see a bit more variety for children. That said, everything was fresh and well-prepared. Overall Experience Jiaoxi Wellsprings Hotel is a great choice for families looking to experience Jiaoxi’s hot springs in a comfortable and convenient setting. The private hot spring tubs, spacious rooms, and friendly service made our stay very enjoyable. We would definitely return for another family getaway! Excellent stay. Room quipped with semi outdoor private hot spring. Strategic location to get foods.

In my estimation this is the best hotel in Jiaoxi, and perhaps in yilan (if we are considering facilities). First, it is just a few minutes walk from Jiaoxi train station, as well as some of the public hot springs around Jiaoxi, so very convenient. There are also a few restaurants nearby at various price ranges. Second, the room is pretty nice, they have a personal hot spring that you can relax in while partially being outdoors. Third, the hotel includes not just the facilites at Wellspring but also at nearby Just Sleep, which includes an indoor onsen, if that is more your style. Just Sleep also has a gym (Wellspring does not). They also offer some drinks and snacks at both hotels. During "happy Hour" at Wellspring, they offer wine and some more variety of snacks, which I appreciated. But the main "perk" of the Wellspring is the rooftop pool. There are actually two pools, so they offer a nearly 360 degree view of the surroundings, and on a clear day you can even see Guishan Island in the distance. Though the view isn't as good as, say, the view of the Taipei 101, it's still quite nice. And it's not like there are a lot of rooftop pools in other parts of Taiwan. And there is both a cold pool and a hot pool (hot spring). Finally, I think the buffet breakfast is pretty good quality, one of the better ones I have had in Taiwan for sure. They have a variety of hot food and cooked food. Overall though its a tad expensive, for a five star in Taiwan its probably cheap.

Best hotel I have ever had in yilan!

Stayed 2 nights in this property over Typhoon Kong-Rey. Love the in-room hot spring, the one-time usage of minibar & the availability of water dispenser in every level. Location of hotel is also very strategic. Thankful to the team for taking care of us during Typhoon Kong-Rey by offering umbrella, checking where we are going, advising us to be careful of the weather & also offering car rides to keep us safe.

We recently stayed at Wellspring by Silks in Jiaoxi for a short getaway with my 7-year-old child, and it was one of the most relaxing and family-friendly stays we've had in Taiwan. Location: The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Jiaoxi Train Station, making it easy to arrive with a child and luggage. One of the best parts is how close it is to all the great local eateries—from traditional ********* breakfast spots to noodle shops and dessert places, everything is within a short stroll. We loved popping out for quick meals and snacks without planning too much. Even though it's centrally located, the hotel feels like a quiet, relaxing retreat once you're inside. Room: Our room was modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The private in-room hot spring bath was a huge hit—not just for me but also for my 7-year-old. The water temperature was easy to adjust, and it became our daily ritual to soak and relax. Kid-Friendliness: Although the hotel has a stylish, adult-focused vibe, the staff welcomed children. They provided child-sized slippers, which made my little one feel like a VIP guest. The rooftop pool area was also suitable for kids (with supervision), and we spent a lovely day splashing around with mountain views. One thoughtful bonus: even after we checked out, we were still allowed to use the rooftop pool and hot spring facilities. That extra flexibility made a massive difference for us — it meant we could enjoy one more relaxing soak and a bit of pool time before catching our train home. It showed how the hotel goes the extra mile to accommodate families. Facilities: The rooftop infinity pool and hot spring area are just as beautiful as in the photos—peaceful, scenic, and well-maintained. There's also a cozy lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks, which came in handy for quick breaks between activities. Everything felt clean, well-designed, and easy to access, even with a child. Service: The service was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. The front desk staff were helpful with suggestions for nearby places to eat and always greeted my child with a smile. They made us feel welcome from start to finish. Breakfast: Breakfast was a treat for adults and kids — a great mix of Western and ********* options. My 7-year-old especially loved the fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, and mini croissants, while I enjoyed the local touches like sweet potato porridge, scallion pancakes, and handmade soy milk. Overall: Wellspring by Silks is a perfect blend of peaceful luxury and family-friendly comfort. Whether traveling solo, as a couple, or with kids, it's a great spot to unwind and enjoy the best of Jiaoxi's hot spring culture. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic hotel at nice locatjon, easy to get around. Very comfy bed and the room is very clean. Highly recommended!

The hotel room was generally clean, and I appreciate the upgrade—thank you. However, I was disgusted to find dirt inside the cup when I flipped it over to use it. I assumed it was clean, but clearly, it wasn’t. On top of that, I found someone else’s hair left in the shower room. This is unacceptable and raises concerns about the thoroughness of housekeeping. Please improve your cleaning standards.

Great hot spring hotel that covers all your needs! Located in walkable distance to all local business, eatery and bars yet, yet located in the quiet part of the area. Easy to catch taxi, Uber or taking the bus as bus stop is just right in front of the hotel. The hotel also offers complimentary happy hour with a variety of wines and spirits to choose from, or can always go for a coffee, tea or juice. A complimentary mini-bar is also offered! Breakfast selection is great too.
