Bastion Hotel Zaandam

Het hotel was netjes en personeel was correct en vriendelijk de receptie was heel behulpzaam. Helaas was het restaurant bij het diner anders de opname van ons diner werd gedaan zonder op te schrijven mijn eten kwam na wat vragen in de eetzaal wie dat besteld had dat van mijn vriendin kreeg haar eten toen ik klaar was.

Lovely hotel - Valentino provided excellent service and was very friendly, pointing me in the direction of FREE COFFEE. Bastion hotels also have great hold music on their phone system, which is really great to dance to.

What did I like - This is was our 3rd or 4th time staying at the hotel. This time it was not a planned trip but an emergency since our Caravan brokedown on the way to the camping site in Amsterdam so we booked this hotel immediately since we knew the hotel & its facilities. Room - it was very spacious. The view we got to the backyard so nothing much to see there. Breakfast - it was not a huge & exceptional buffet but it is ok with a few hot & cold items. Staff - everyone is very nice and helpful. Specially 2-3 young men at the reception were very nice & helpful. Of course, all the ladies worked for the Breakfast & around! On our last day on check-out we had to wait a bit to hear from the garage about our Caravan but we settled the bill before check-out time, and told young man at the Reception we leave at check-out time due to our issue i.e. we are waiting to hear from the garage. Then without us asking the young reception man told us to stay even 1 hr. more if needed! Though we did not, still it was very sweet of him, so very much appreciated the guesture! What didn't we like - Initially we booked for 2 nights thinking we will get our caravan back but didn't so we extended 1 more night! I think due to that reason Housekeeping must have not got the correct info so our 3rd night room was not done, and towels were not changed! On our return to the room in the evening we went to the Reception & told that, but that time Reception said housekeeping personnel already left. We said that's fine, just provide us cleaned towels and they did. Price - is quite to the high end!

I stayed here for 4 nights and all was well. The only complaint that I had was my wifi did not work for some odd reason. My room was on the 5th floor and it would not work on my two different iPhones nor on my laptop. The staff was not sure why it would not work, but the wifi worked everywhere else on every other floor below the 5th floor (I tested it). Thankfully, I did not require the wifi much as I have a local data package, but if I was an international traveler, then this would have been a big issue. Again, this was never a big issue for me, so I never demanded the staff solve the problem, though I did notify them of the problem. Other than this, everything was great! The staff was very helpful and there was one girl who works downstairs in the mornings who was especially wonderful. She helped me with my bags and I did not expect her to do this. She was very nice and I wish I knew her name to personally thank her. The point being, the staff was all great. Location was good, everything else was good. I would stay here again, but I would personally request a lower floor room due to the wifi issue I had on the 5th floor.

Prima hotel, niet al te groot, goed bereikbaar, voldoende parkeerruimte, schone kamers en fijne bedden voor een nette prijs. Gastvrij en vriendelijk personeel ! Goede herinneringen met vrienden in dit hotel aan overgehouden ! Ideaal voor een feestje bij de Hemkade !

Preciso che non sono stato cliente dell'albergo ma solo del ristorante. Buon ristorante in una zona dove, tra l'altro, non ho trovato nulla di alternativo. In zona ci sono due hotel e un solo ristorante. Ristorante: servizio non perfetto ma il personale è così gentile e simpatico che fa piacere stare 15 20 minuti oltre il dovuto. Piatti di carne ottimi e porzioni pantagrueliche. Meglio la carne alla griglia meglio al sangue. Ottime le zuppe e i dessert. Birra molto buona. Consigliato. Prezzo basso per la qualità, soprattutto per noi italiani che negli ultimi anni ci siamo trovati prezzi aumentati del 30 40 per cento e porzioni sempre più sc****. Parcheggio ampio ma attenzione che ci sono anche i clienti dello hotel. Fuori (50 metri) tutto lo spazio che si vuole.

Wederom een zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad. Onder leiding van Isabelle draait het team zeer goed. Er heerst een zeer prettige sfeer en werkt iedereen hard om het voor de gasten zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken. Wij komen zeker terug Wij komen hier zeker terug!!

Prima verblijf gehad. Deluxe kamers liggen hoog en achterin dus geen last van geloop op de gangen. Echter ligt het hotel wel aan een drukke weg wat toch goed hoorbaar is op de kamer. Kamers verder netjes en het hotel heeft vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt prima in orde. Zelfs tegen het einde van de ontbijt tijd was er voldoende beschikbaar en voelde we ons niet weggekeken. En de dame was bereid om mijn speciale verzoek (een omelet met zalm) klaar te maken.

Ligging ideaal parkeren ruim en gratis kamers zijn ook heel ruim schoon en mooie badkamers Belangrijk is koffie op de kamer super ! Mooi uitzicht en ontbijt goed goedkoop en uitgebreid genoeg voor 15€ met zalm belegsoorten gebakken eieren waar je vers op wacht 👍
