Lovely little peaceful, relaxing b &b in Zihutanejo. Just a 5 minute stroll to playa la ropa & all the restaurants & beautiful beach. Our room was on the top floor which we highly recommend to get the best views from the balcony. Beautiful landscaping throughout leading up to your room. Dramatic entrance hall into the room separating the big lovely bathroom on one side & a smallish bedroom opposite. Minor grumble.... bedrooms need a place to put your clothes. Only a handful of hangers provided. We kept our clothes on top of our suitcase. Breakfast one morning the cook was a no show. A bit disappointed but there are loads of places to find breakfast on the beach. Lastly, if your room is on a higher level be prepared to walk up & down spiral stairs. Final verdict....we loved La Villa luz & would stay here again....9 out of 10.

A beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful detail and lovely comforts. The room and bed were super comfortable, the room was full of considered luxury details, the pool was divine, the breakfasts were excellent and they had lots of great tips and advice of what to do in the area. All that and a 3 minute walk to the beach! I couldn't fault this hotel. We will be back for sure!!!

Gorgeous property, a 2 minute walk to Playa La Ropa with extremely friendly, helpful staff. Fide served a very tasty breakfast each morning with a huge smile, the manager Ania was always available for local advice and recommendations leading us to restaurants we might not have found, Antonio is a master gardener, Esa oversaw the property at night and BV kept our room spotless. Thank you all - really enjoyed our stay.

La Villa Luz La Villa Luz is a small casa beautifully tucked away on the hillside above the Ropa beach. It’s a perfect location to get around La Ropa and Zihua comfortably without a car. Taxi stand is a block down the hill, easily accesible. Also most spots are walkable, even into town. Upon arrival, we were immediately welcomed and felt at home. Our lovely room had a panoramic view of La Ropa and the pool. We woke to birds singing every morning and a cool breeze off the Bay. Sofia prepared beautiful a breakfast each morning full of flavors. Ericka was very helpful, quick and thorough her cleaning and kind with all of our requests. All staff were kind and amenable to our needs. Thanks to La Villa Luz for a relaxing and easy s tay in Zihua. We will be back. Tip: For chair rentals on the beach, the best at The Thompson hotel. You pay for the day pass but it all goes towards your eat and drink.

The “Luz” is an awesome place to stay in Zihua!.It’s an eight room boutique hotel. Each room is amazingly decorated.The grounds are beautifully manicured and maintained. It’s a short 2 minute walk down to Playa la Ropa. The best beach in Zihuatanejo! Ania who runs the hotel and her great staff ( Isaias, Isael, Erika, Fide and Miguel) do an awesome job of giving each guest a memorable experience.I can’t think of any other place i’d rather stay than at the “Luz”. Ania was amazing with the help she provided booking tours and making suggestions on dining or places to visit. This was my 4th time staying here and i can’t wait to go back! If you’re coming to Zihua don’t hesitate to book La Villa Luz.You won’t regret it. You’re home away from home.

The room had a fabulous view, the chef was the best!! love the location. The stairs to the pool are difficult I'm elderly with back issues so i had to go slow. Overall Love IT!! We travel to Zihua every year and this was a new spot for us, we will be back.

We stayed at La Villa Luz (small boutique hotel) for six nights during our visit to the Zihuatanejo. The hotel is located a couple blocks from the main area beach Playa La Ropa, a beautiful, safe swimming beach. We had a room in one of the upper levels with a balcony and view overlooking the beautiful grounds, swimming pool, and beach neighborhood. Our room, the common areas, and grounds were always very clean, well kept, and maintained. The hotel offers a breakfast option every morning cooked by a local chef, Fide, and was absolutely delicious. The entire staff, Esther, Erica, Fide, and Irving, were so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Muchas gracias a todos ustedes!

We stayed there for 6 fantastic and wonderfully relaxing days and nights.Just 7 nice rooms with balconies and a view of the close by beach (3 min walk with 2 options, whichever part of the beach one prefers).Wonderful and ever helpful Ania and her team of Erika (housekeeping), Fide (cook and queen of the breakfast, Irving (handy man) and Isael (night watch man) make your stay such a great and everlasting experience. Nice pool and well kept landscaping, birds ,squirrels and Iguanas add to the special charme of this place. Delicious breakfast is freshly prepared until noon. We tried yoghurt with fresh fruit , truly homemade granola, pancakes,crepes, homemade banana bread and also some spicy egg dishes (there is more on the menu). Isael prepares fresh coffee early in the morning before breakfast starts, so we enjoyed it sitting on our balcony, listening to chirping birds and the waves from the ocean. If you want to book a tour, go shopping or need a restaurant recommendation, just ask wonder woman Ania. Taxi stand just around the corner with fixed prices. Airport pick up can be arranged. Beach was not crowded until a long WE, but in such a case just retreat to the pool, grab a book or simply lay there and being happy. This place and the staff will do it all for you.

We loved La Villa Luz so much! We just got back from a wonderful relaxing, romantic and adventurous week in Zihua. It was our first time to Zihua and we were really happy we stayed here for the whole week. The staff are so friendly and relaxed that it confers such a mellow and welcoming vibe to the whole place. The tropical landscaping is immaculate, the pool so fresh and warm and inviting you don’t want to leave. Chef Fide is amazing with her breakfast cooking, we stayed a week and had a different breakfast Mexican food selection each morning. The value is excellent and it is right on the best beach in Zihua, La Ropa beach. Good restaurants are close by and walking distance. We figured out how to walk to town along the waterfront path and it made it more scenic to go to town and the central Mercado. We can’t wait to return to our friends at La Villa Luz. The experience is so much more than staying at a hotel, the rooms are unique and comfortable. The railings are not up to US standards and could be a little challenging for someone with a fear of heights or vertigo.
