If you have an early morning flight departing from Hobart Airport and do not have a car (for example, if you have already returned your rental car), I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Even though it is close to the airport, you may face serious transportation issues like the one I experienced. The hotel is located about 1.8 km from Hobart Airport. By car or taxi, it takes around 5 minutes. However, if you walk, Google Maps shows it takes approximately 25–30 minutes. On 13 December 2025 at around 5:00 PM, I asked the front desk staff to help me pre-book a taxi with 13CABS for the next morning, using my Australian local number from my eSIM. After the booking was completed, I received an SMS confirming my 13CABS request, including the pickup date and time, as well as a tracking link. On the morning of 14 December, I checked out very early at 5:45 AM. At that time, the front desk was closed, so I returned the key card at the counter. I then opened the tracking link from the SMS to check the taxi’s location. I could see a car on the map, but it appeared to be quite far away. I decided to wait. As the pickup time approached, I went outside to wait at the drop-off area, but no taxi arrived. I checked the tracking link again and found that the car was no longer coming. At 5:54 AM, I received another SMS from 13CABS saying: “Hi this is 13 CABS. We are sorry for the delay, we hope to have a vehicle to 1 Holyman, CAMBRIDGE shortly. Do you still require a taxi? Please reply Y/N.” I replied “Y” immediately. After waiting another five minutes with no further updates, I started to feel very anxious. At that point, I met a couple from Hong Kong who were experiencing the same issue—the taxi they had pre-booked also did not arrive. I then called the after-hours reception number provided by the hotel. The staff member was very helpful and advised me to contact 13CABS directly to make a new booking. When I called 13CABS, the operator made a new booking for me and sent another SMS confirmation. However, after waiting for quite a while, there was still no taxi. I asked the Hong Kong couple, and they told me their taxi was supposedly on the way. About five minutes later, a taxi finally stopped at the drop-off area. The couple checked with the driver—it was not their booked taxi. I then asked the driver, and it was not booked under my name either. However, the driver explained that he was waiting in the airport queue and had received a call from head office instructing him to pick up passengers from Mantra Hobart Airport and take them to Hobart Airport. In the end, both the Hong Kong couple and I shared that taxi. The driver charged me AUD 21 and charged the couple AUD 21 as well. In conclusion, staying here is risky if you have an early morning flight, even though the hotel is close to the airport. You may encounter serious issues arranging transportation in the early hours and risk missing your flight. That morning, while I was waiting at the drop-off area, I also saw a man walking from the hotel toward the airport, pulling his suitcase. Unfortunately, it was raining at the time, and the weather was cold, making the situation even worse.

La chambre était accueillante. Le propriétaire est super sympa, le petit déjeuner et le café faits maison sont à mon goût, et me recommande également un superbe voyage. Rentable! Grey est toujours satisfait !

Les chambres sont très confortables et sont très confortables. La chambre était grande et nous avons reçu des nettoyages quotidiens. Le mur de la salle de bains était un peu de pensée, comme nous pouvions entendre les gens à côté de la porte, mais la salle était complètement bien - ne pouvait pas entendre quelque chose. Je recommande à tous les types de voyageurs et vous resterez certainement encore si nous revisisons Hobart !

What were all the experience was very good and we enjoyed it a lot and it was a nice place to live in an entire Hobart and view was amazing

Nous avons réservé deux chambres (4 personnes) pour assister à une réception, puis nous sommes retournés à l'hôtel pour prendre un repas. Nulle part sur le site Web ou lors de la réservation, il n'est mentionné qu'il n'y a PAS de restaurant ou de bar ouvert le dimanche (petit déjeuner jusqu'à 9h30, mais uniquement annoncé dans l'hôtel lui-même). Pas de télévision par satellite (comme mentionné sur le site Web). Si j'avais su qu'il n'y avait pas de nourriture disponible le dimanche, j'aurais réservé dans un autre hôtel à Launceston. Merci

Il est préfectueux de rester avec des enfants. La chambre est petite, mais elle est super propre. Nous avons pris des perles et des plumes. Nous avons nourri le poulet et les poulets, les ovins, les heures et la vache. Ma fille les aime vraiment!!! Le personnel de la réception est super jolie! Ils ont donné à ma fille de manger des animaux de nombreuses fois et encore nous donnent un visage bienvenu! J'ai vraiment apprécié ça ! Il n'y a qu'une suggestion pour faire qu'il n'y ait qu'une machine à laver et qu'un sec ne suffira peut-être pas quand certains groupes arrivent.

爬完山.暖暖地泡個澡，不要太舒服。獨幢木屋，房間不算小，床都有電熱毯。服務挺好的，提早開了暖氣，屋外大雪紛飛，屋裡麪暖洋洋的。做飯的東西也還算齊全，不過調料要自備。陽台外還會有小動物光顧，非常夢幻。搖籃山住一夜真的不夠，一定要安排兩夜以上~

The atmosphere at Peppina was equally inviting, with a charming decor that complemented the delicious food, creating a perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast. In the evenings, we enjoyed drinks at Mary Mary, another fantastic venue within the hotel. The bar had a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring both classic favorites and innovative creations crafted by skilled mixologists. Each drink we ordered was expertly made and beautifully garnished, adding to the overall experience. Overall, our stay at the Tasman Luxury Hotel was a true testament to hospitality at its finest. The combination of exceptional service from Tayla and Ebony, along with delightful dining experiences at Peppina and Mary Mary, created a memorable getaway that we will cherish for a long time. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the outstanding care we received throughout our visit.

I am so happy in using trip.com here at the Carlyle. I have stayed here for nearly a 2 week period and it somehow gave me $80 (?) in free coins to contribute to one extra night in Feb that was out of my budget. I’m very grateful.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.
