I booked just for 2 nights. After first night in a morning I made my bed and went to hiking. When I came someone occupied my bed saying that it was empty. Tried to show my belongings parked nearby and it was time wasting. So I advise people who planning to stay there put some of your stuff on bed to show that this is your bed otherwise some ”special” people can argue with you. My bottle of wine disappeared in common kitchen. Stuff was friendly and helpful 🙂

Do not stay at this hotel. The walls are paper thin, so you hear EVERYTHING—yes, EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean. The whole setup is bizarre (see photo). Who thought it was a good idea to cram the sink so close to the toilet that your elbow brushes it? Who looked at that and thought, ”Yeah, that’s totally normal and not awkward at all”? The carpet feels soooo dirty, and it’s ridiculous they don’t provide slippers. Actually, they do—but only if you’re willing to pay $6! Oh, and add another $5 for service fee!
On top of that, when I asked about why the water in the shower was lukewarm, and the response I got was that it’s because the hotel was at full capacity. How exactly is that my problem?! The receptionist told me to run the water for 10 minutes to ”fix” it… 10 minutes? Really? What happened to being eco-friendly?
Honestly, save your money and book somewhere else. It’s incredibly noisy, and you won’t get a peaceful night's sleep here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only redeeming qualities are the fitness center, location and the helpful and very nice staff.
We managed to do early check-in before official time. However, we realised the cottage was not clean at all as rubbish wasn't cleared, floors not vacuumed & towels left hanging around, likely by previous guests. So we had to return to reception to feedback & they immediately got housekeeping to do the job. Reception staff could do better with more smiles though.
Cottage was quite roomy for 2 pax, but could be a bit tight if 4 pax were to stay together. Pretty basic accommodation but it was strategically located near Cradle Mountain visitor centre. Overall, a unique experience to stay in a mountain cottage like this, just that free WiFi was only available at reception & not in the cottage itself.

We had a perfect stay at Bay Hotel Apartments. Our room was cosy and well furnished and there was a laundry room on site that was easy to operate. Would love if we could have at least a spare liner bag for the dustbin but otherwise, we really enjoyed staying here and would love to come back again if we are travelling to Hobart.
I recently stayed at Wrest Point and would definitely stay again!
My room was a highlight—spotlessly clean, super comfortable bed, and a stunning view of the bay that made my stay extra special.
I really enjoyed spending time at the Birdcage Bar. The cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere was lively—highly recommend for a fun night out.
Staff-wise, my experience was mixed: some team members were amazing and made me feel welcome, while others weren’t as friendly or helpful as I’d hoped. This didn’t overshadow my overall positive stay, but it’s worth mentioning.
Highlights
• Beautiful bay views from the room
• Impeccable cleanliness
• Super comfortable bed
• The Birdcage Bar: great cocktails & vibe
• Would happily stay again!
Tip: Be sure to request a room with a bay view - it’s worth it!
A lovely quiet relaxing place to stay. The room was very comfortable with lots of space, and had a nice sunny patio to sit outside for coffee.
It was a short walk to the beach. Sufficirnt amenities for preparing our own food.

Excellent, hearty and warm service. The airport skybus stop is right in front of the hotel (frequency 40 mins, whole ride 25 mins from or to airport). Room and bed very comfy. Free bottle water and welcome cookies. The trash bins inside the room are too small however. Buffet breakfast is decent too. Locationwise, not the best. No restaurants or groceries nearby (just restaurants inside hotels). Need a bit of walk (5-10 mins) to reach the very centre where the shops are.

SSuzyWe arrived late at night, about 10pm. I had tried to call to find out reception times but had had no luck getting through. Thankfully reception was open until midnight and check in was fast and efficient. The amenities where spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodation pods are on stilts and there is some movement if people are walking around but it didn’t bother us at all. Our room (king bed) had a nicely appointed bathroom, nothing huge but still spacious enough, a large cupboard and an area with tea and coffee making facilities , the bedroom was huge with one whole wall of sliding glass doors which in summer would be amazing for opening up to the veranda which is full length. Fantastic views of the animal paddock and the ocean. All the staff we dealt with where so friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that the website has no contact phone number details that I could find and the number I got through Trip.com didn’t seem to work, just went to message bank, and there was no details on the website about reception times. The blinds in our room have a reasonable gab between them so a fair bit of light came though in the morning. I’m a light sleeper if it’s not pitch black so I woke early but nothing too concerning. Both easy fixes for the company to make. The accommodation pods have five rooms in them, so excellent for extended family vacations where everyone gets their own space but are all close by. The restaurant and cafe have fantastic views. There is a huge kids playground but I only saw it from a distance. It looked very nice from what I could see. There is animal feeding tours which would great for young families and grandkids. Highly recommend for a lovely quite holiday. Also on the plus side, very close to the airport and Hobart.
CChristopherThe room was comfortable and well-appointed with a nice view, and the hotel has a subtle warmth to its decor. The check in staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. The main Italian restaurant is quite good and the breakfast was well done. The bar is trying too hard to be trendy and the service speaks more to arrivistes than guests just looking to enjoy a drink or solo meal—honestly rather disappointing. Overall it would seem the best option in Hobart and quite strong for a small city, though I’m not sure on what list they could claim to be top 50… Aman or Rosewood or a Peninsula it is not.
IInvitéHotel was great, didn’t realise it was situated over the top of a pub. But we didn’t research. The supreme king bed was the absolute best thing ever! So comfy and nice big comfy pillows!
Sink to wash hands located in room not toilet which we found odd and cleaner only made 1 side of the bed not the other. But great friendly staff, clean room pretty darn good for the price!
UUtilisateur anonymeBeautiful house, bedroom and great balcony view. Friendly and helpful staff, clean house. I didn't like the bunk beds in my bedroom. Nice neighborhood near Salamanca market. House full of young guests. It was kind of noisy, but they quick went to bed and was quiet. Wifi doesn't work well, too many guests. I gound my bed too soft. But I would stay again.
Bboonling chuaGreat large room, too bad the window was facing a brick wall so there was 0 natural sunlight in the room, they did offer an upgrade for a normal window view for $35 per night which i rejected tho.. When staying at this hotel remember to bring toothbrushes as they are not provided unless requested and the toothpaste given is only enough for two uses. They did not replenish the toothbrushes for night 2 so we had to squeeze what was left from night 1. Valet was $35 per night and is very unpunctual. We were told our car is to be available in 20-30 mins but we waited close to an hour in the morning. Would reccomend to call reception an hour before in peak timings like mornings. The road onto the front of the hotel also has a no right/ left turn sign onto the road. We had to call reception to double check if we could turn onto it, however, reception was unclear. Fyi, If you are going to drive to this hotel you can park at the main entrance for valet! Overall, great experience just a few things I wished I knew before booking this hotel!
