Great location: short walk from the train station and the centre.
The room was basic, but the bed was comfortable, and A/C was working well- especially useful for heating after getting soaked in the rain, exploring the city.
Cleanliness could be improved - the sofa had visible wet stains, the carpet had a wet patch, and the shower could use a deep clean.
Unfortunately, the rooms are not sound-proof, and we were woken up by kids running and shouting on the corridor.
Breakfast is complimentary, but the hot cooked part tasted like cardboard. Pastries were lovely, and coffee was decent.
The team was friendly and helpful.
Overall, an okay hotel for a weekend away, nothing fancy.

Le logement ne se déplace pas trop loin à pied pour aller à la York Church environ 10 minutes. L'hôtel offre un parking (15 livres) L'hôtel n'a pas de bagages de télégramme. Il est plus difficile de se déplacer avec un petit frère de la réception.

Great place and very easy to find. Excellent facilities on my cosy very warm quiet room with a great sea view out of my window. Highly recommend and will definitely book again on my return to Scarborough.

Il est très bien situé, la chambre aurait pu être fait avec un pulvérisateur comme il était un peu daté. Je resterais ici encore. Parking sur la route était gratuit mais si vous voulez utiliser le parking de voitures des hôtels il y a un tarif.

Impressive old building, great location, lovely breakfast. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom which was great but as we were at the rear it was a bit dark as we looked out onto walls and the paintwork being a little dreary didn’t help but the bed was very comfy! Would have appreciated a bottle or two of water in the room. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

ZZunguidedahanbaoJ'ai réservé cet hôtel en raison du design et j'en suis très satisfait ! C'est très Yorkiste (on a l'impression que le Yorkshire ** peut aller et venir à tout moment)
Si vous prenez l'ascenseur, il fera le tour, complètement démodé. La clé de la chambre est une grosse clé🔑, pas une carte de chambre, ce qui est unique ! !
La chambre n'est pas grande non plus. Il y a une machine à café et une bouilloire d'eau chaude. Il n'y a pas de climatisation mais il y a un petit ventilateur (il n'y a pas besoin d'allumer la climatisation, il fait frais la nuit). également un tourne-disque vinyle et une enceinte Bluetooth ! ! ! amour
Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'endroits où faire du shopping. Prendre un taxi jusqu'à Butcher Shop Street ne coûte que 5 à 6 livres, ce qui est assez pratique~.

From checking in and our room available early with welcome cookies which were warm and amazing to checkout the staff could not be more helpful!
The room was on the third floor clean, tidy and well presented.
The gym and spa facilities were all good and nice to use and relax especially on a Sunday evening!
The breakfast was buffet with a selection of hot and cold options the parcel machine was my favourite fresh pancakes which were delicious!
This hotel is huge but it's well maintained clean tidy and such an enjoyable experience for our anniversary!

IInvitéHotel was located across the road from the city walls. A 5min walk to the University of York St John. The amenities at the hotel were excellent. It had a small gym located opposite the main reception where guests had 24 hr reception. There was parking available on site at a cost of £25 for 24hr parking. May be cheaper elsewhere but it was very convenient. Staff allowed us to park for extra few hours free of charge. Although we did not pay for breakfast on site it was very well stocked and wildly used by other guests. Room was clean and modern. The A/C was not that affective and did not cool the room down. Which made it a little uncomfortable to sleep at night. It was a hot day and the room was located in a loft conversion. Heat would not normally be an issue.

IInvitéExcellent stay here, great quiet location on the river within easy walking distance to York City centre. For the money the room was top notch big plus points being a great shower, kitchenette with fridge and the rooms own iron and board .
Staff also a pleasure to deal with, allowed us to store our luggage both before check in and after check out so we could enjoy some time in York.
Genuinely can't fault this place, and great value for money.

UUtilisateur anonymeWe stayed here a few years before and really enjoyed our stayed so booked to come back for our anniversary. We were in the opposite side of the building this time and it was still delightful. We really enjoyed the separation of the bathroom from the bedroom with a little study area. The place was starting to get a little run down however. There was no handle on the toilet, and one of the bathroom lights didn’t work. Toilet roll was paper thin and the lights above the bed were perfect height for hitting your head when getting in and out of bed. Other than that though he we enjoyed our stayed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant food was delicious.

IInvitéLocation gteat. No guarantee of car parking space outside hotel but fairly large drop off area. Car spaces outside hotel are free from 6pm to 9am, pay and display at other times. I'd checked in online but still had to wait in a long queue on arrival to collect key. Room had no windows, it was advertised as well ventilated but it wasn't, it was so hot, far too hot to sleep. Only toiletries provided were a soap dispenser. The shower was great. Room was small but just enough space. TV signal was awful. Tea and coffee provided and extra supplies available in reception. Views over the sea were lovely. Great terrace to sit outside.
