Hôtel où nous avons séjourné la première nuit à Takayama. La chambre était assez spacieuse et les installations de bains publics étaient agréables. Le soir, on pouvait choisir entre des boulettes de riz gluant et du Ochazuke pour le souper. Le petit-déjeuner offrait une bonne variété, et il y avait surtout beaucoup d'étrangers. L'hôtel est très proche de la gare et des sites touristiques des environs. Rien à redire, sauf que le prix a beaucoup augmenté le deuxième jour à cause du festival de Takayama, alors nous avons changé d'hôtel.

L'environnement est propre et pratique, non loin de la gare JR de Takayama et du terminal de bus Nohi Takayama ; il y a également des dépanneurs à proximité ! L'hôtel lui-même dispose d'une source chaude au neuvième étage, mais notre emploi du temps était très chargé et nous étions trop fatigués à notre retour à l'hôtel, nous ne sommes donc pas montés prendre un bain ! C'est à environ 15 minutes du marché matinal de Miyagawa et à côté d'Ajizo Paradise, c'est très pratique de faire la queue pour obtenir un numéro ! 😆😆 Les installations de l'hôtel sont assez récentes et le lit est très confortable. Le seul inconvénient est que les oreillers sont trop mous et plats. Les quatre oreillers de tout le lit combinés n'ont peut-être pas la hauteur et le soutien d'un de mes oreillers ! Autrement dit, c'est vraiment un hôtel avec une valeur CP élevée !

Stay was worth every penny. Hotel was located very close to train station and bus station so travelling to and out from it was convenient. Check in process was fast and easy to understand. They even had tea ready during checkin Room was decently sized and very clean. I arrived during spring and the beds were so comfortable and warm The highlight of the hotel has got to be the onsen. They have both private onsen that you can book for an hour and common onsen. If you go around midnight (the onsens are open till 1am), its completely empty and you can enjoy it all for yourself. Word of warning though, you can probably be seen if you're standing close to the edge of the public open air onsen so maybe dont do that (or do whatever floats your boat). After the onsen you can help yourself to free drinks and snacks They had beautiful sakura blossoms during that time, and a public foot bath that can be enjoyed by all. I loved my stay here and will definitely return if I have a chance.

The hotel room is pretty big by Japan standards, and the feeling of the hotel is really grand! Lots of locals were staying there, but the rooms are a little bit dated. The toilet lights were quite dim and the bathrooms could use an update. However, everything worked perfectly and the stay was still extremely enjoyable! The hotel is situated right next to a bus stop so that makes things super convenient! There’s also a family mart behind the hotel (shortcut! go out of the main door, turn right, walk down the ramp, immediately turn right and right again into the small path, go up the stairs past the hotel park, then turn left and cross the small roads, and you’ll find the konbini) The hotel also rents out bicycles to hotel guests FOC, so you can take the bike literally anywhere! We rode to the supermarket (~10 mins away) and also down by the river (10/10 recommended!) and just explored lots around! Gifu is a lovely quiet town and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience a side of Japan that isn’t just Tokyo or Osaka.

I stayed for 5 nights, and first of all, the price is very reasonable for a backpacker hostel. Check-in is done online: you choose your language, scan your passport, and have a f2f call with the staff via an iPad. FYI, there is a mandatory accommodation tax in Japan of 100 yen per night. You can also request a paid ”Irori” service at a nearby sister branch, where you can grill your own ingredients over a traditional Japanese sunken hearth. Just a reminder: you can get fresh ingredients from the nearby market ”Family Store Satoh” or further away at ”Surugaya Asumo.” The common area isn't huge, and the kitchen is basic but functional with tableware, an electric kettle, ovens, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The tap water is drinkable; the mixer tap can be toggled to adjust the temperature, so you won't get a chill from the ice cold water in winter! 😂 In the back, there are a toilet, three shower stalls, and communal sinks, along with a washing machine and dryer that are free to use (you just need to buy detergent from the capsule machine or bring your own) Since it's a hostel, the dorms have top and bottom bunks. The bunks are quite spacious and come with two power outlets (remember your travel adapter!), an overhead locker (bring your own padlock), a towel, and two hooks. You have to make your own bed; it's a futon-style setup where you lay the linens on the mattress. A pillow and duvet are provided. During winter, they run the AC (split system) on heat mode to keep it cozy. In the room, there’s a luggage storage area and hanging rods for clothes. On the second floor where I stayed, there are two toilets in the room: one with a urinal and another unisex one with a smart bidet/washlet. To be honest, while it's very close to the Miyagawa Morning Market, it feels a bit far from the Nohi Bus Center and JR Station. If you don't like walking or tire easily, this might be a bit of a challenge. Overall, it's a great, affordable choice for backpackers😗

Hotel location is super convenient. Just next to the station. We stayed there for 2 nights. Housekeeping only provided at a limited service of changing towels and empty the bin. Amenities are excellent especially hair dryer. You can watch netfilx too on TV. We also enjoyed their private onsen. Overall this hotel is highly recommended.

J'ai entendu dire que ce ryokan avait été construit en 1931 et, compte tenu de son âge, il était incroyablement propre et bien tenu ! Il y régnait une atmosphère mystérieuse et chaleureuse que je n'avais jamais ressentie auparavant, et tout le personnel était d'une gentillesse remarquable. Je me souviens encore du membre du personnel qui m'a fait un signe d'adieu lorsque j'ai pris le dernier train. Le bain extérieur de la chambre était agréable, mais le bain public était vraiment exceptionnel ! C'était la première fois que je visitais la région de Gero Onsen, et je pense que la qualité de l'eau est la meilleure que j'aie vue dans une source thermale au Japon. Ma peau était tellement plus douce que j'avais envie de vivre ici. C'est un endroit où je retournerai avec plaisir, rien que pour la qualité de l'eau :) Merci !

Clean and comfortable hotel situated in a remote location. Check-in was efficient, and the rooms are nicely designed and new. The downside is that there are no convenient stores or restaurants nearby, so you’ll have to rely on their snack bar at the lobby if you’d like anything to eat in the middle of the night. There are also a limited amount of parking spaces on the premises, on a first-come-first-served basis

Je suis satisfait. Ils sont gentils et réactifs. Les glaces, le café et le thé sont gratuits, vous pouvez donc les utiliser à tout moment, et les soba sont fournis gratuitement de 22h à 23h. C'est bon, donc je recommande fortement de l'essayer. La chambre est spacieuse et confortable, et le dîner et le petit-déjeuner sont délicieux. Cependant, de la poussière s'est accumulée sur les étagères à l'intérieur de la pièce, ce qui peut gêner les personnes à la peau sensible.

Chambres datées, bien entretenues et globalement propres. Les installations Onsen (femmes) sont très basiques et manquent de commodités. Les repas sont décevants en termes de kaseiki japonais (surtout après la première nuit), avec un faible sens de la saisonnalité et également de nature simpliste. Le petit déjeuner n'était pas copieux, tandis que le dîner était souvent froid ou déséquilibré. Une nuit ici est largement suffisante.
