Je trouve cet endroit magnifique me rappelle un ancien ski-loge. Fantastiques balcons et vues de cuisine. Le personnel est extrêmement ami. Deux blocs du centre-ville de Taupo. J'étais très heureux ici. Je peux marcher dans la ville mais a une voiture sous-couvre-parking.

We stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip.
Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from.
Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful.
It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff.
My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!

Easy check-in, staff are easily contactable. If you are arriving after front desk hours, just give them a call. Easily instructions will be given.
Room is spacious. TV has the lodge's netflix account, so you may want to check in early :))
Only concern is door lock is one-way, recommend owner to consider better locks since right outside of the room door is the car park.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour en famille de 5. La chambre insonorisée était propre et idéalement située au départ du Possum Night Trail Run. Les installations étaient facilement accessibles et c'était un vrai plaisir de pouvoir nager jusqu'à 22 h. Nous avons hâte de revenir !

酒店位置挺好找的，我們是駕車，所以導航過來，就在路邊，很好找，下面停車位也很多。因為個人疏忽，定錯了日子，本來是不可取消的，入住時發現錯了，但是申請後，也免費取消了訂單。異國他鄉的特別感動，前台小哥還在入住時，送了一瓶牛奶，很好喝。衞生非常乾淨，開門的一瞬間很滿意，讓我最滿意的是熱水和水量特別大，衞生間裏有SPA浴缸，沒有去試用不做點評，有個小細節一定要誇，晾毛巾的架子居然是加熱的，小物件和毛巾掛一晚上就幹了。外出到集中餐廳的地方吃飯有點遠，需要步行一公里左右。整體居住很安靜也很滿意！

Close to the Chartwell shopping mall, clean room and has all basic amenities. Heater did not really warm the room much and there is a centralized control at the corridor so I guess that is the reason why but the room wasn’t cold either so it wasn’t too bad staying during winter. The travelers next to our room made a lot of noise during bedtime (close to midnight) and I understand this is beyond the landlord’s control. The only thing that I would recommend is for the landlord to put up a notice to ensure that the lodgers will keep the house quiet after 10pm.

Really beautiful place, up a hill with wonderful views in the morning. The host was lovely as well. I was surprised by the shower system as it was unconventional for me but nothing wrong with it, simply a new experience for me !

We had a wonderful, quiet & undisturbed stay at the Anglers Lodge. The place is tranquil and was not crowded, so we really enjoyed the spacious grounds of the Lodge. The communal kitchen and bathroom facilities were super clean. Overall very well maintained. The pool and games room were much fun for the children. We did fishing at the bay right outside the Lodge. There is minimum 15-20min drive out from the Lodge to Coromandel and the Peninsula.

UUtilisateur anonymeIl est possible que le nom soit un peu fantastique, mais c'est en fait un motel standard. La chambre ne sera pas très bien à trouver le numéro de la porte de la nuit, la position est très proche du lac. La chambre est en pleine forme et la santé est bonne.

Pros
-Cheap
-Comfy mattress
-Great location
-Clean
-Spacious room and bathroom
-Heat pump which was on when i arrived which kept the room at a comfy temp.
-Kind front desk woman on arrival.
-Old world architecture.
Cons
-Noisy heat pump (albeit grateful there was one)
-No sound insulation so can hear footsteps easily.
-Bed was 2 x singles pushed together and had to sleep either side of the gap.
Tip - book a superior room type. It's my experience these are better quality. When you book the lead in room category (deluxe) they're cheaper for a reason.
I would return but not on a Friday or Saturday as the sound of the street noise and night clubs would be heard easily.

FFluffyTotoroI arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.

IInvitéNous avons séjourné en famille de 4 chambres émulsionnablement propres, les lits étaient beaux et très généreux de taille, le lait local dans de belles bouteilles de verre reliant la communauté rurale locale était un grand touche. qui signifie que nous avons tous dormi très bien. Glenys nous a donné beaucoup de conseils sur où prendre les enfants, les piscines chaudes locales ont été frappées et le domaine à côté de la porte avec jardins de jeux et courts de basket pour le plaisir familial gratuit, le géyser explosif a été un grand divertissement, La location est très confortable pour tous les pistes de marche MT Te Aroha, supermarché et boutiques facilement à pied du motel.
Le service était second à nul.
Rod et Glenys étaient des hôtes incroyables qui ont été au-dessus et au-delà pour s'assurer que nous avons tous eu le meilleur séjour.
Nous avons eu des problèmes de voiture, et ils ont ouvert leur garage et leur temps pour nous aider à revenir sur la route pour toujours gratitude.
Nous reviendrons bientôt et nous avons parlé à tous nos amis et à la famille de notre nouveau motel préféré.

YYUJUCheck in was smooth and quick but changed room twice to get everything right. Our first room had urine stains on the toilet, which means this room was not properly cleaned up. That was terribly disgusting to find these spots. Also, the smart TV in the first room didn't work. Our second room was find but has no bathtub as requested. Changed to the third room and finally get the okay one with great AC, working TV and cleanness. It was our first time stayed in a 5-star hotel in NZ and was surprised the standard is quite low compared to the other 5 stars in Asia. Has small heated pool accommodating 6 people max. Swimming pool and sauna were fine but steam room didn't work. Service okay and great breakfast. Will consider the other place next time.

Overall, the experience was positive. However, it would have been beneficial to be informed in advance that the check-in office is located offsite, requiring approximately a 4 minute drive from the main premises. This information would have streamlined the arrival process.
