This hotel is at the end of the lake. The hotel serves a really tasty buffet lunch for 15.90 Euros. It includes, salad, soup, probably 3 or 4 meat dishes and  dessert. I was there 10 minutes before a huge group , maybe 50 in all arrived and I had to hurry myself to get my food because it would be a long wait. When I was eating people can’t squeeze by each other but I only ate there once and  since it will rain that afternoon I didn’t waste any time. I have to say the staff was ok. A lady checked me in quite efficiently. I paid the occupancy tax and I got the key. When I arrrived at 11:45 am, there was no one in the small reception office. A waitress was really serving diners. There is a man who worked at the deli /sausage shop next to it to help out. I have to say the staff there in general wasn’t that welcoming. I wish they had been more pleasant and show a little smile and happiness in their work. It seemed like she was there because she had no other choice.   The room is 12 at the end of a long hallway. There is a big window. The room is small but I was fine with it. No complaint. The other thing is I wish they put a table lamp on the small desk. Otherwise, the room has enough shelf space for me. The morning buffet is excellent. It offered some tomatoes, small baby coins , cucumbers, many different of rolls, several varieties of ham , salami, egg, sausages, yogures, juice, cereal.  The coffee is made with coffee beans and it was excellent. The breakfast is the best. The small village has practically nothing. There is another hotel 10 to 15 minutes that serve dinner. Another town Bad Goisern is 2.4 miles to the north accessible by train or by bus where there is a Hofer ( Aldi in the U S ) and other supermarkets and restaurants. If you don’t have a car, you have to be prepared something or pay to eat at the one and only restaurant that I knew. On the other hand, this hotel has a microwave oven and one water kettle in case you have instant noodles. The bakery a few steps is expensive. I had a coffee and a sweet roll for 8 Euros.  The hotel is a few steps from a trail that takes you down 6 miles to Obertraun . The trail is in good condition and a large distance is by the lake. You can find the trail in Alltrails. There is a restaurant called Seecafé Obertraun that you can rest to have a sandwich , coffee or a beer. The sitting is by the lake and there is a clean restroom . The waitress and waiter were both friendly.  If I have to do it again, I would take a bus to Hallstatt from there . I think the bus number is 542 to 544. It should be cheaper than the ferry which is a rip off . 12 Euros for a 25 minutes ride. Bus is cheaper . The ferry is a fraud and it shouldn’t charge that much. I didn’t know there is a bus connection from there. All in all, this hotel is quite decent. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner but the buffet lunch is quite adequate. If you eat at 2:00 pm ( I think it closes at 2:30 pm ), you won’t need to dinner. Aside from the not so welcoming one out of 3 staff members, price is unbeatable. I notice that the price doesn’t change if you book early or late and doesn’t use dynamic pricing which I hate. If there is availability, you pay the same price which is more than fair. I read that one guest complaInts about the smell from the kitchen and the meat market next to it. It isn’t really an issue. There is a door on the second floor leading down to the kitchen and meat market. Someone closed the door in the morning. Some people just was so nitpicking when they are angry which is not justifiable. I believe the owner offers a decent , clean room for a very fair price as Hallstatt is really touristy and this hotel is a much better option that staying in Hallstatt and pay overpriced food and lodging with every shop sells souvenirs. If you are in the area, this hotel is an excellent choice. 

Very well equipped, spacious apartment. Really appreciated the laundry room which has amazing automated laundry liquid dispenser. The whole process of checking in and out was done via the app. Needed Google translate to understand the app but otherwise the whole process works surprisingly well. The hotel is not staffed in person but it’s very well designed and you can get free parking and even free bikes to use. Very good experience overall and would highly recommend.

L'emplacement est vraiment pratique : à seulement 5 minutes à pied de la gare routière, et un office de tourisme se trouve à proximité. C'était très pratique pour consulter les horaires de bus et se déplacer. Notre séjour entre fin mars et début avril était exceptionnel car nous avons pu vivre deux saisons différentes en un seul voyage : la neige était encore présente en hiver, mais on commençait déjà à sentir les premiers signes du printemps. C'était une expérience unique. Je recommande vivement cet hébergement si vous prévoyez un voyage à Hallstatt. Je le réserverai avec plaisir lors de mon prochain séjour.

The view from our balcony was breathtaking, by the lake and serene. An awesome place to relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery. There’s also a cafe right next to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I come back. The hotel is walking distance from Obertraun train station. No need to get off at Hallstatt station and lug your luggage up and down the hill and then load the luggage onto the ferry and unload. Then drag your luggage across Hallstatt to the bus stop at the other side of town. Easy way get off at Obertraun train station and walk to Haus Am See.

Nous n'avons pas eu de problèmes avec la propriété elle-même. C'est une maison historique dans beau Hallstatt. Nous savions déjà des escaliers et nous avons besoin de porter des bagages. Le service de la maison était très bas pour une belle propriété, le gestionnaire était en vacances et laissait deux filles inexpérimentées en charge. Il est clair que Hallstatt limite le trafic de véhicules et que notre voiture ne pouvait s'arrêter qu'à un endroit désigné environ 15 minutes de la propriété. La réponse était la seule option : marcher.Imaginez les bagages de la neige. À l'arrivée de la propriété, nous avons dit à la fille qui nous a reçus de nous organiser un taxi au check-out pour nous ramener au point de goutte pour rencontrer notre chauffeur le lendemain. Elle a promis de le faire. Une demi-tour avant le temps qu'elle nous a dit ne se trouvaient pas de taxis et la seule option était de marcher. Vous pouvez imaginer notre frustration avec ce niveau de service. Une merveilleuse propriété laissé à la baisse par un service extrêmement mauvais.

Magnifique hôtel au bord du lac, en plein centre d'Hallstatt. L'hôtel a eu la gentillesse de nous proposer un service de navette jusqu'à Lahn (gare routière), ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié, et le petit-déjeuner était excellent.

Le logement est destiné à des groupes plus grands :) J'ai réservé une chambre pour 2 personnes et j'ai fini avec un chalet qui pourrait s'adapter à 4 personnes, mais nous ne nous sommes pas souciés !

Décevant séjour dans cet hôtel. 1. Le thermostat qui n'était pas en service dans la chambre était la température ambiante que je suppose était d'environ 25 degrés. En tant que bureau de front à régler, il a été conseillé que aucun des thermostats de l'hôtel ne fonctionnait comme il était chauffé centralement. Le conseil était d'ouvrir la fenêtre ... évidemment le rep de bureau avant ne aurait pas dormi dans cette pièce avec la fenêtre ouverte au bruit de trafic. Le service de la chambre est très bien situé, mais il est très important de prendre des mesures pour que les clients puissent être en mesure de faire des choix. Le bureau de front a ensuite suggéré qu'il était désagréable et que jamais reçu. Pour le gestionnaire ...I vous assurera une visite de retour à votre hôtel dans les semaines à venir et vous attendrez de rembourser mes 4.50 Euros!

Nice hotel within a 8 min walk of the city centre for a one or two days stay. Breakfast is very basic and the staff don't speak much English so if you have a query it becomes complicated. The biggest disappointment was be advised that they don't have a night time restaurant or room service, so if you job demands evening calls etc it becomes a problem as you have to eat outside the property.

The hotel is a Marriott brand so they have strong attention to customers. Unfortunately I had some issues with the cleanness of the towel and water pressure in the shower and I reported it immediately. I received the full support from management. In particular, Taj from reception went above and beyond to help and make my stay enjoyable, Thank you so much Taj: those subtleties turn what could have remained a bad experience into an enjoyable memory. A big thank you to all the staff! A special thanks goes also to Laura, a young smiling girl in the breakfast service. She prepared delicious omelettes every morning with great care and love :) Thank you so much and wish you all the very best!
