The customer service here is top of the line. We stayed here after hiking Mingyue Mountain. It was a rainy day and our clothes and shoes were soaked. When we asked if they had a clothes drying service they were happy to help. They took our wet clothes and washed them and they brought us two shoe dryers that got shoes dry in less than an hour. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and general manager stopped by to greet us and help ensure our order was correct since our mandarin is not strong. The food was quite tasty. We had the spicy beef with celery, stir fried noodles, cabbage and eggplant with green beans. The spa here is also very relaxing and great for sore legs after a long hike.

Jiujiang Liansheng Happy Town
I had mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. Starting off with the positive things: 1) they were essential one of only 2 places in the City of Jiujiang that would accommodate foreigners during the pandemic. My green arrow code had an asterisks, since I was in Shenzhen within the past 14 days which had a few cases at the time. This made it hard for me to find a place to stay. 2) The location is ok, away from city center but close to an indoor hot bath spa facility. This was the highlight of my stay. 3) wifi was fairly solid, hot water for showering was available, they offered free cleaning service for my dirty clothes, free hot beverages at the lobby and a nice lounge with a ping pong table on the 5th floor. Now regarding the cons: 1) the landline telephone from my room wasn't working to help me place calls. I tried to reach out to reception to talk about issues, but I couldn't get them on the line. This meant I had to physically go down to the lobby level and communicate my concerns. No problems receiving calls though. 2) The elevator reeked of a strong revolting cigarette stench. Despite there clearly being a no smoking sign in the machine, cetain patrons outright disregarded the rules and did as they pleased. Hotel personnel don't even bother to confront such individuals, which is very upsetting to non-smokers like me. Rather than making an effort to create a healthier and cleaner environment for everyone, the administration prefers to turn a blind eye to such activities, since they fear backlash from such clients and potential loss of revenues from them. This is a major societal issue, but I believe that it will get solved gradually as time goes by and the younger generation gets better educated. I resorted to taking the rear stairwell as an alternative instead. 3) my room key stopped working abruptly on several occasions, hence I had to solicit the cleaning ladies to help open my room door. Furthermore, I eventually lost that room key, and when I went to tell the receptionist what happened, they gave me a new room key but told me I must pay 50¥ (a third of my nightly room rate) as a replacement fee at checkout. Needless to say, I thought it was inappropriate for them to ask for that much money. Most major hotel chains would happily give a new room key for free. 4) the majority of food options in their breakfast buffet were saturated with either added sugar or oil. 5) ************ cards were regularly thrown underneath my room door. It's supposed to be illegal to solicit such services, but its rampant and openly done with no efficient crackdown. This is another thing the hotel administration could do to improve its protocols. *Most of the days I spent in Jiujiang were plagued with torrential rain. Obviously this is beyond human control, so I'm not blaming anybody for this. It made my stay in the city unfortunately less pleasant, as I didn't even once get to see a blue sky with a sun. Overall I would give this place a 7/10 Recommended, but if you are a foreigner then be aware of the aforementioned details. Nobody spoke English, which was to be expected. Be prepared to speak the country's official language if you want to get around in Jiujiang! 😁

I had a nice stay. The room was clean and it had an airconditioning. The man from the hotel was so friendly to give me an upgrade of the room for free and he took me on his scooter to the Scenic area. The hotel is 10 minutes by car from that area. He also made me some noodles for breakfast and fixed a carpool for me to the train station. Thank you very much for the stay!

Disappointing stay here. We had no choice but to extend our stay because it was Chinese new year and very difficult to find another place to stay and also my husband was sick so we had to change our plans and stay an extra night so he could rest. The place smelled like smoke everywhere. We have a baby with us and wanted a smoke free place. Despite the signs in the lobby saying No Smoking, people were smoking there and the front desk people didn’t care. The towels in our room had ashes on them and smelled like smoke. They were also ripped and badly needed to be replaced. (We got a smoke free room and learned on our trip that all they do for smoke free rooms is open the windows to air it out before you arrive. 🤦🏻♀️) There was insufficient toilet paper when we arrived and although they did provide more when we asked it was just inconvenient. The toilet paper holder was broken so we had to find somewhere else to put the roll of toilet paper. The sink leaked and it was supposed to be a dry washroom which is one of the reasons why I booked the place but turned out to be a wet washroom. Incredibly inconvenient with a baby. The shower drainage was missing a cover and it didn’t feel safe for my child when showering because her little feet could get stuck inside it. One of the days we needed to rest a little longer and the housekeeper asked us when we were leaving so she could clean our room. We said we needed 2 more hours (around 2pm) she kept trying to peer inside our room and said she wanted to get off work early. I found that incredibly rude. I understand it’s CNY and you want to go home early but that’s not something you should say to a guest who paid to stay at the hotel. Front desk people also did not seem friendly. Never saw any of them smile. We obviously don’t speak Chinese fluently and they laughed at us when they couldn’t understand us and wasn’t helpful in any way. Overall, not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yaxinju Modern Simplicity, and it was a truly delightful experience. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending modern aesthetics with simplicity in a way that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The smart technology integrated into the rooms added a layer of convenience and sophistication that we absolutely loved. One of the highlights was the shower with underfloor heating, making it incredibly cozy, especially after a long day of travel. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain a pristine environment. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring we had a restful night's sleep. Additionally, the projector in the room was a wonderful touch, allowing us to unwind with some entertainment before bed. Our host was truly outstanding. He was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Although we had to decline his offer to take us hiking the following morning as we needed some rest before heading out to Wangxiangu, we were deeply touched by his generosity. He even assisted my sister in finding a place to eat when she arrived alone and kindly picked us up from Wangxiangu in the evening. Overall, Yaxinju Modern Simplicity, with its beautiful design and top-notch amenities, combined with such a caring and thoughtful host, made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wangxiangu!

I am glad to have booked 3 rooms at this hotel as when the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the hotel staffs. The hotel staffs also helped us in booking didi rides numerous times as we are foreigners without WeChat pay or AliPay facilities in our mobile phone. The service attitude of all the staff are excellent and helpful. I would like to thank 丝丝,小王 and all the staff for giving us a wonderful experience in your hotel. I would highly recommend anyone to stay in any Mehood hotels! Lastly I would like to thank the front desk staff whom I did not get her name with the mobile number ending 7109, who helped to call for medical assistance in the middle of the night.
