Had an amazing stay at JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu. Everything about this hotel deserves a perfect score. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The location is incredibly convenient — right next to Takamatsu Station, making it super easy to explore the city and nearby attractions like Ritsurin Garden. The service was top-notch from check-in to check-out. Staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The amenities were impressive as well — comfortable beds, great facilities, and everything you’d expect from a high-quality hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Takamatsu. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip!

I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a quiet hot spring experience away from crowds. It is located a bit remotely from the city and surrounded by nature, which I absolutely love! Driving here is quite accessible. Since I planned to stay for more than one day, they provided a free pickup from the Kotohira JR Station, which is also very convenient. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. This low-density hotel has around 26 rooms, so it sells out very quickly, especially during peak season. There is a small gift shop, but I found everything I needed there. The room met my expectations, offering enough space with an outdoor deck and a private hot spring tub. I could hop into the hot spring tub anytime. If in the summer, I would be sitting on the outdoor deck to take in the views of the woods and nature, listening to the birds sing. The lotion provided is of very good quality; I use it every time I finish in the hot spring, as it smooths my skin. I should check if the gift shop sells it. The minibar is well-stocked with coffee and tea, and a 2-liter bottle of water was provided, along with a filtered water tap in the washroom. The public hot spring is spacious, allowing for plenty of privacy. One thing I wasn't sure about was that they provided us with a twin bed room. Since I was there with my husband, we expected a double bed room. We didn’t check with them about it because we decided to use the futon bed instead, which was surprisingly comfortable. I ended up sleeping even deeper than on a regular bed.  We were also confused about the futon bed setup requiring an extra charge, guess it was considered an extra bed. However, they arranged it for us without charging extra, which we really appreciated!  The dining experience was fantastic as well. There are different sessions in the restaurant, and they assign different tables for each meal, making it feel like dining in various restaurants. The service was very professional, with the staff explaining each dish to us. Even though one server covered two tables, I felt like they were serving us privately and gave us enough personal time. The restaurant closes after breakfast and before dinner, which gives you a great opportunity to explore the area during lunchtime. There are also delicious udon restaurants nearby. Just a heads up, though—I didn’t notice any room service available, so if you want snacks in your room, it’s a good idea to prepare your own. I am looking forward to staying in their other branches!

L'hôtel est situé en face de la gare de Marugame, visible depuis la sortie. L'enregistrement est très pratique, avec un système d'enregistrement en libre-service. De 18h30 à 20h, des nouilles udon sont proposées gratuitement au rez-de-chaussée, dans la limite d'un bol par personne. Les udon sont délicieuses, même si ce sont des somen, que je trouve encore meilleurs. L'hôtel est également très proche du restaurant principal d'Ichiraku-kutsuke-dori, à environ cinq minutes à pied. Le restaurant est assez fréquenté ; nous y sommes allés vers 18h et avons fait la queue pendant une vingtaine de minutes. Nous avons terminé vers 19h et, à 20h, la file d'attente faisait déjà plus de dix mètres. Nous avons séjourné au 8e étage, doté d'un petit balcon avec vue sur le port. Nous nous sommes enregistrés vers 18h et avons pu admirer le coucher de soleil, avec le pont de la mer intérieure de Seto se profilant à l'horizon.

Ayant vu les détails et le service de l'hôtel traditionnel chaud, il y a un personnel de service qui vient de sortir et appelle immédiatement le personnel de service chinois pour venir aider. Une petite salle de réception détaillée ajoute encore beaucoup de points. L'introduction anglaise du personnel de service de restauration est également très bonne, le repas est très délicieux et parfait, Avec de bonnes installations et chaleur, il vaut vraiment la peine de recommander 👍

During my recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that also serves as a wedding venue — and from the moment I arrived, the level of service was simply impeccable. The staff were not only gracious and professional, but also went out of their way to assist me at every turn, despite my lack of Japanese language skills. Their warm hospitality left a lasting impression and made me feel truly welcomed and cared for. Though the room was compact, it was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. As a solo traveler, I found the space more than sufficient — cozy, comfortable, and a fantastic value for the price. It truly struck the perfect balance between affordability and quality. A special mention goes to the amenities: the hotel provides a well-stocked amenity station at the reception, where guests can freely pick up whatever they need — a detail that reflects the hotel’s attention to guest convenience. While the location is a little removed from the city center, this wasn’t an issue at all for me, as I had a rental car. The added bonus? Free parking on-site, which made my stay even more convenient and budget-friendly. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. With its blend of elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and thoughtful touches, it became a peaceful and comfortable base for my journey — one I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow travelers.

Having stayed in much more modern hotels, this is not worth the money. But this is perhaps expected with over hundreds rooms and a big complex to take care of, the efforts are less devoted to each guest. Best for tour groups and large family, but not solo travellers.

Hotel staff at reception desk is super helpful and very patient to assist customer. Room is super clean and breakfast is nice. We stayed this hotel for 4 nights for a golf trip. During our stay, there were a couple issues we have with car rental companies. Staff was very kind to help in local languange conversation with call center and local police individuals to effectively get thing done. I cannot image how long it will take for us to communicate with non-Japanese lauguage... Good job Route Inn hotel.

Although it takes more time to get this hotel than the other hotels which just build surround the JR station, it's had big clean rooms and modern facilities. It's a worth to go, and this hotel is super close to the restaurant and shopping area, it's a nice experience to live there.

Voici un réexamen concis et enthousiasmant de l'hôtel en anglais: L'hôtel est très bien situé, à quelques minutes de marche d'un quartier vibrant de la vie nocturne et d'une rue de la nourriture, avec des options incroyables. Le bain est sans spot et offre même une crème de glace gratuite, qui a été une jolie surprise. Le petit déjeuner est incroyablement riche et variée, avec quelque chose pour tous. Globalement, un séjour fantastique J'aurais certainement revenir !

very happy stay! staff very helpful we are very appreciate, just the staff only can speaks little english, we use the apps translator so still very smooth. from airport to hotel, you can take the limousine bus, ticket buy ar the machine, bus stop just right outside at No.2 platform, has airport staff might guide you, travel time about 20-25 minutes can get there, the stop just right at the hotel, the market street just behind the hotel, Takamatsu shops testaurant closed quite early, most of that closed about 8, just some abit late.. if you want to find dinner restauant must go earlier. many Izakaya (居酒屋) around the hotel but they needs to book reservation, walk in almost full!! Car park is ¥1400 per night, outside car parks is more cheaper but inside the hotel that convenient if you bought some stuff 😆 but only few inside, no advance resersations, its first come first served every night, so u have to go early to get the parking
