La chambre elle-même est très vieille, les fenêtres étaient également mal nettoyées. Cependant le reste de l'hôtel est agréable et actualisé, y compris le spa et la piscine.

La chambre était spacieuse, propre et bien entretenue. Le personnel de la réception était accueillant et efficace lors de l'enregistrement, et le service de conciergerie s'est montré excellent pour l'organisation des visites de la ville et des transferts aéroport. La nourriture était bonne. Bien que l'emplacement de l'hôtel en altitude puisse présenter des difficultés pour les personnes âgées, une navette fiable circulait toutes les heures vers le centre-ville. Le retour était également facile en Uber, pour un coût généralement compris entre 10 et 15 dollars selon la distance.

Nestled in superb locations, the hotel offers not only convenience but also serenity.The staff’s service was beyond impeccable, the room exuded cleanliness and order, and the overall ambiance created an idea setting for both relaxation and deep concentration.

Service : L’attente à l’enregistrement était longue et le personnel peu aimable et peu attentif aux besoins des clients.

Very nice hotel with good location and convenient free parking. However two requests to fix malfunctioning fridge failed to materialise in anything. Every morning just around 8am a cart would also roll around outside my room making a lot of noise and waking me up.

We arrived at around 10:30am and requested an early check in, as we had a 5:00am flight the following morning. We fully understood that the standard 1500pm check in time applied and that any early check-in was subject to room availability. We therefore appreciated the hotel accommodating us with a room at 1230pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready to the standard we expected. We found an empty bottle on the floor, and the glass door/window could not be locked properly. Although, we requested a room change, we were informed that none were available at the time and maintenance advised that the lock would require drilling and screwing to repair. What disappointed us most was not the need for the repair itself, but how the situation was handled. The communication from the maintenance staff came across as abrupt when we were asked whether we wanted the repair carried out or not. We also felt greater consideration could have been given to guests, as drilling may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma or sensitivities to dust or noise. Holiday inn has always been a brand I associate with consistent international standards, particularly from my experiences in South-East Asia. While we appreciated the hotel's flexibility in offering an early check-in, we do not believe this should come at the expense of basic expectations such as cleanliness, security, and a room that is ready for occupancy. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident rather than a reflection of the hotel's usual standards. Many guests arrive after long journeys simply looking forward to a clean, secure and comfortable place to rest. A little more thoughtfulness in both room readiness and communication would make a meaningful difference to the overall guest experience.

We book our two days nights accomodation at the hotel in purpose for our Chuch conference happens around Auckland. We went as a family and the room is average clean as well outside surroundings required cleaning and upgraded. Even our Deluxe rooms requests utensils such as table spoons, plates etc for future use.

Service was excellent! The free shuttle to and from the airport is so convenient, and it's very helpful for us travellers. The accommodation itself was okay, quite old but necessities are there. Would definitely stay again!

We just had an unexpectedly delightful experience at the Waiheke Island Motel, so much so that we added another night because we simply couldn't get enough of the place! Our stay began with a minor hitch: arriving late in the evening to find our pre-booked studio room was locked. However, the way the night manager and the team handled this was truly remarkable. They quickly resolved the issue by giving us a significant, stress-free upgrade to a spacious whole house with four bedrooms instead of our original studio. This immediate, generous response demonstrated exceptional hospitality and turned a potential frustration into the highlight of our trip. The motel's location is ideal; it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, yet it's in very close proximity to both the shops and the beach. We appreciated the on-site pool and the spa options, and the minute's walk down to the community Saturday market was a fantastic bonus. Our only piece of constructive feedback relates to the spa itself—unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which was a slight disappointment. Despite the minor issue with the spa, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodation, and prime location mean we had a fantastic trip. Crucially, the price was quite reasonably priced compared to other places on Waiheke, offering excellent value for money. We will definitely return to Waiheke Island Motel!
