St. Giles' Cathedral is awesome. It is a must see if you enjoy old churches and loads of history. They do ask you to buy a "photography pass" which is only a few pound, but worth it. The Thistle Chapel is lovely. Also, have a glance through the gift shop for a bunch of great items, I bought my wife a luckenbooth pin for our wedding from St. Giles and she absolutely loves it.
Every bit of this Cathedral is beautiful. Worth paying a few pounds for the photography permit for sure.
St. Giles is a beautiful church situated on the historic Royal Mile. Don't miss the stained glass windows and the Thistle Chapel. Look for the little bagpipe player in the chapel.
Once I entered and saw that this cathedral was just as striking as the exterior, I knew I needed to pay the few pounds for photo permits. Otherwise, it's free. Highly recommended!
