A nice square to have some time to sit and relax as it's away from the main tourists areas for some quiet, even though it really isn't that far away at all.
Lovely public square with a great fountain and nice cafe. Great place for a picnic on a warm and sunny day.
Very fond memories of Russell Square. It was, of course, the site of one of the 7/7 bombings, but unlike Tavistock Square has moved on from that. Okish restaurant/cafe near the tube stop corner of the park, but mostly it's just great for people watching or relaxing in the shadow of the Senate House of the University of London and the Russell Hotel.
I visited Russell Square often when I was staying at the Russell Hotel across the street. It's a small park that's not very busy. It's close to the tube stop of the same name.
