St Joseph's Church (Victoria Street)

Since August 1, St. Joseph's Church has been closed and Latin Mass has been transferred to nearby St. Peter's and Paul's Churches, a Catholic church on Victoria Street. Founded in 1904, the Gothic Renaissance style takes the shape of a Latin cross. It replaces the former church of San Jose in the area, built by the Portuguese delegation, with a low square tower.

One of Singapore's oldest Catholic churches has just been renovated and its exterior walls have been painted in a new and old style. The most exciting day is the Good Friday Good Friday Good Friday Passion Eve, which is traditionally held in only a few churches in Singapore.

There happened to be a wedding when we went, so we didn't go into the church. The grass behind us was also good. There were cushions and cradles on the grass. The sunshine is just right and leisurely. Singapore is so clean that it likes to sit on the floor.

This is a Catholic church, easy to find, not far from Congress, the architectural style is very warm. The best thing is that there is ice water in the church, which is necessary for such a hot country as Singapore.

St. Joseph's Church has been established for nearly two hundred years. It used to be a propaganda institution in Portugal. It was later transformed into the first Catholic Church in Singapore. It was burned down and rebuilt in the war. Many people come here to pray.
