The hotel itself was nice, but the staff at the ski resort was horrible, the rentals are also not well maintained. The boards are not waxed, which makes it difficult to work with as there are a lot of flat routes which are difficult to avoid (Pony and village road were the flattest slope Ive ever seen in my life, I had to unstrap and walk and the board just wouldn't move). Ski resort staff were unfriendly and the rental staff was the worst, there was a lady there that was cold and rude. The only reason why the rental shop is surviving is probably because the equipments are salomon branded and that there is no other option.  I would visit again but only because the routes are fun, Myoko long run was the best, but I would never want to rent from the shop again. The food was very very good. For breakfast, you could choose from western or Japanese buffet. Western buffet is highly recommended, the omelette was the best ive eaten in my life and there was a diy risotto which was great as well. For dinner, there were 4 options, either buffet, steak, Japanese or shabushabu. All requiring reservations which is tough if you are checking in the evening as some might not be available. Highly recommend the steak, the food was good and the staff were amazing. Japanese was the hardest to get a reservation for but the food was quite underwhelming. The room was clean and ski lockers are also provided but it's tiny and can barely fit 2 boards. But I wish that in the toilet in the common area, you can adjust the tap temperature as the water is freezing cold. Amenities wise, bottled water are provided daily, also, yukata was provided but you can only wear them to the onsen which was extremely troublesome as I had to change multiple times a day.  The hotel provides shuttle bus services to and fro jyoetsumyoko station which was easy to book. The bus drivers were also friendly and helped out with the luggage. In summary, for a 5 stars hotel, it didn't live up to expectations, ski resort and rental staffs were unwilling to help and unfriendly. Also, some of the staffs could not speak Japanese which is puzzling for a hotel in Japan. If not for the amazing snow and slopes I would never come back.

Hôtel Osado Seaview Onsen Situé sur un promontoire au sud-ouest de l'île de Sado, cet hôtel offre un grand parking et une vue imprenable, notamment sur les couchers de soleil et la mer du Japon. Le personnel est accueillant et fournit des informations détaillées. De nombreux services peuvent être réservés à l'avance. Un verre de bienvenue est servi dans le hall de 15h à 18h. Un spectacle culturel local a lieu à 19h15 et une navette gratuite pour le site de Sado Kinzan, où se déroule le spectacle son et lumière, est disponible à 20h ou 21h30. Une collation de fin de soirée (sushis Inari) est offerte à 22h. Ces différents services peuvent être utilisés ou réservés dans le hall. J'ai séjourné dans une chambre tatami. Bien qu'elle ne dispose pas de salle de bain privée, la chambre était très spacieuse et pourrait accueillir jusqu'à six personnes. Certains équipements semblaient un peu vieillots, mais le souci du détail était évident : étiquettes nominatives sur les chaussons, bouilloire moderne pour le thé et les boissons, et plusieurs ports USB pour les rallonges et le chargement des appareils – des attentions très appréciables. Les matelas sont installés le soir et semblaient assez vieux. Certaines couettes avaient une légère odeur de renfermé, et seul un type d'oreiller était ferme et plutôt plat. La climatisation de la chambre était un peu difficile à régler ; il faisait parfois trop chaud, parfois trop froid. J'ai dû me lever la nuit pour la régler. Je recommande de moderniser le système de climatisation. L'onsen public (source thermale) se trouve au premier étage. Il n'y avait pas foule vers 18 h ou 19 h le week-end, ni vers 21 h. Il comprend un bassin onsen semi-extérieur, un sauna et un bain d'eau chaude. Les serviettes sont fournies, vous n'avez donc pas besoin d'apporter les vôtres. Il y a également un grand choix de shampoings, et les lotions et produits de toilette fournis sont de très bonne qualité 👍🏻. Le petit-déjeuner est très varié, avec de nombreux produits locaux (lait de Sado 🥛, sériole frite de Sado, etc.). Je recommande vivement le donburi aux fruits de mer 🍱, qui vous permet de choisir librement entre saumon, thon, crevettes et autres fruits de mer – c'est un délice ! Le personnel du restaurant est également très sympathique.

The hotel is atmosphere with a nice blend of the old and new. It is located not too far from Uonuma no Sato and have a complimentary shuttle service to and fro Hatago Isen opposite Echigo Yuzawa Station. The room is big and there is nice heated table area. The bathroom is nice but as with traditional lodgings such as this, it can be pretty cold especially at the bathroom area in winter. Dinner was served in a bento format at our room. I was a little disappointed that it is a not a proper sit-down meal at the main dining area instead. The bento includes two generously sized onigiri, appetizers, and four main items including a meat patty, grilled fish and braised wagyu. The onsen bath is also quite nice and loved the bath with the snowy landscaped garden. Service is generally good and there are snacks and drinks available at the lounge for guests. In the evening, there is also sake and umeshu available for guests.

I’m giving my honest opinion. This is my first unsatisfied review for a hotel room. I was very disappointed by the room for the price I paid. I paid more for this room than what I paid for luxury upscaled room near Tokyo Disney. The photos online were very deceiving. When I entered my room, it was gross, i cringed, and my toes curled. I didn’t want to put my belongings down. The carpet was old and disgusting. The pull out couch bed was gross. There were stains on the couch back rest and the mattress. The sheet for the mattress was too small it didn’t cover the stained mattress. The beds were hard and didn’t feel clean. The shower curtain had a bad odor. The room was very dated. Since this hotel is pretty secluded and other hotels were booked we had to make do. I’m glad we only stayed one night. On a better note, the staff were very friendly and service was great. Location for skiing was amazing, and the free shuttle bus was fabulous. Naeba Prince Hotel really need to do better with their rooms. I was looking forward to bringing my entire family of 14 to stay a few nights next year, but after seeing the rooms, I will not stay here again unless they renovate their rooms which are in dire need of upgrades.

Le centre de l'hôtel est très bienvenu, avec un matcha et un snack complimentaires. A l'entrée, il y a même un joli jeu de Gachapon dans lequel vous pourriez gagner l'un de leurs produits Niigata/Yuzawa spécial! La chambre était propre et spacieuse avec un lit confortable futon. Les bains publics étaient si gentils et bien entretenus. Si vous n'avez pas réservé leur petit déjeuner/séjour spécial, vous pouvez toujours dire avec 2 jours d'ordre avancé sur le bureau frontal. Absolument rester ici encore si jamais dans la zone 🫶🏼

My wife and I visited this onsen resort in 2023 and we loved it. My wife especially likes the many onsens they have. We have always wanted to come here again and finally did after 3 years. Like three years ago, the room and facilities are very clean and well maintained everything just as they were. One thing did change and we are quite upset about it, is that the staff is not as enthusiastic as they were (there are some familiar faces, many new ones). I still recommend this place to everyone, Futaba is still the best compared to the other two onsen resorts we’ve visited in between. Hope they can figure out some way to motivate the staff and offer a better experience to guests.

Nous ne pouvons pas porter nos propres chaussures une fois que nous entrerons dans le hall. Il est très inconfortable de marcher aux pieds de bar dans les restaurants, peu importe combien ils gardent les sols propres, il y aura des décharges alimentaires et des surfaces oléagineuses. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner sont excellents, il suffit de plus de variété pour les invités qui séjournent plus de 3 jours.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel au NASPA New Otani ! Cet hôtel est un excellent choix si vous visitez Yuzawa, surtout pour une escapade hivernale ! Le personnel était incroyablement chaleureux, accueillant et attentionné tout au long de notre séjour, nous faisant sentir comme chez nous, de notre arrivée à notre départ. Notre chambre était spacieuse, propre et confortable : parfaite pour se détendre après une journée de ski. L’emplacement est idéal pour les amateurs de sports d’hiver, avec un accès direct aux pistes et un service de navette pratique jusqu’à la gare d’Echigo-Yuzawa, ce qui a facilité nos déplacements même par temps de neige. L’onsen et les bains étaient relaxants et exactement ce dont nous avions besoin après une journée passée en plein air. Le petit-déjeuner et le dîner buffets étaient variés et délicieux, avec des options pour tous les goûts. Bien que l’hôtel soit un peu excentré, la navette gratuite nous a permis d’explorer facilement les environs. En résumé, ce fut un parfait mélange de confort, de commodité et d’un service exceptionnel : nous le recommandons vivement !

魚沼のお米と源泉掛け流しで選びました。 とにかくお湯が良かったです露天で涼みながら入る温泉は格別です。お肌ももちっとなってスベスベで嬉しくなりました。 建物は古いですが内装は清潔ですしオシャレな家具でまとめてて私は好きです。程よい距離間のサービスも気に入ってます。夕食のお米は期待通りで美味しかったです。ただ定食が肉と魚が揚げ物で魚のカキフライ定食にしましたが私にはヘビーでした。でも副菜は4つ付いてどれも美味しかったです！単品に魅力的なオカズがありご飯味噌汁副菜のセットがあれば単品で自分の好みのお夕飯が組めたな〜と思いました。 稲刈り後の田んぼと秋色の山々が見晴らせる素敵なお宿でした。屋根にサギが一休みしていました。

Keiko était un très beau hôte. Elle était super amical et bienvenue dans la zone. Elle était disponible pour toutes les questions que nous avons eues et elle était également en mesure de fournir un petit-déjeuner/déjeuner frais cuisine à un très petit prix. Il y avait un parking gratuit derrière l'hébergement qui était magnifique, puisque nous avons notre propre entrée/sortie après des heures. La chambre était spacieuse, mais bien que le chauffage n'était pas très fort, le lit était extrêmement chaud et confortable. Il serait plus que heureux de rester ici à tout moment que nous sommes dans la région!
