Hôtels avec petit déjeuner à San José, Costa Rica

Undiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro. Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask! We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor. Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited. Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property). Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

La chambre est propre et propre, le petit déjeuner est excellent, il y a un menu à choisir, il y a des fruits et cafés, il y a beaucoup de zones publiques pour les excursions collectives. Pas d'élévateurs est un problème.

We loved the staff and the location. We tried the restaurant of the hotel and found the food to be great but expensive. We liked our room but missed some basic items like a showercap and the sleepers we are used to finding in hotels like this one. They only provide 2 free bottles of water, so do not expect a couple each day like in other hotels. The internet connection was really disappointing. The bed was comfortable, and the room was ok overall.

L'hôtel de villégiature offre de superbes paysages naturels et un espace petit-déjeuner en plein air. J'ai également rencontré M. Squirrel, qui n'a pas peur des gens. Cependant, le petit-déjeuner est vraiment moyen, principalement pour l'enveloppement du ventre. L'ensemble de l'hôtel dispose d'un grand espace carrelé, et il n'est pas facile de trouver une chambre après avoir fait le tour. La chambre dégage une forte odeur de moisi et l'équipement est relativement vieux. Il y a un chanteur résident dans le bar de l'hôtel le soir, ce qui est vrai. est assez énergisant, il ne convient donc pas aux voyageurs qui aiment le calme. Bref, pour les touristes chinois, cet hôtel a un rapport qualité/prix moyen et n'est pas recommandé.

King room with city view, 14 floor: 2 nights. July * You will hear the music from the bar across the park until 3am. Not much noises from the regular city streets. * No fresh air available in this hotel. All the windows are sealed. * No fridge, no Netflix. But plenty of english channels on tv. * good internet. * excellent hot water, and water pressure. * small gym ok, but no windows, and tv was not working. * nice indoor pool, but water too cold for me. No windows but a clear dome. * breakfast have ok choices, not much for a vegetarian. * restaurant expensive like any other hotel, but the staff is sympathic. * free parking. * very nice staff. * reservation with Trip.com was a complication, they didn't have my reservation. Took 1h to check-in. At the check-out they charged me the room that was already paid on Trip.com, had to ask for a refund, which they did, no arguying but a lot of explanations and proof of payment... but the staff was really polite and helpful. * only 1 person working at the counter for check-in and check-out.. * easy to walk everywhere. * easy to navigate with google map or waze.

If you're looking to explore San Jose, or have a basecamp for exploring the rest of Costa Rica, this hotel offers a great central location, situated right in the middle of San José. Good for walking to restaurants or shops in the city, or joining one of the several sight-seeing excursions which can be easily arranged by the hotel. The rooms are nice, though the decor is a bit dated. The common areas are also well designed for lounging while reading a book or getting to know your fellow travelers staying on the same floor. The breakfast buffet was fairly common for a hotel offering breakfast in Costa Rica, but good, and the area also doubles as a bar at night. Other amenities include a gym with free weights and a couple machines, along with two saunas, one dry and one steam.

I booked this hotel for the night prior to departing to the airport. I was shocked how beautiful this hotel is and wished I knew earlier. Service and friendliness of the staff was excellent, food at the Japanese restaurant was pretty good too. Shuttle to airport was convenient, definitely would stay here again when in Costa Rica. Nice area but a car would be best to get around San Jose.

Il n'y a pas de boîtes ou de distributeurs Kleenex dans la chambre, et la programmation de la télévision a été difficile à déchiffrer, en particulier le programme audio secondaire pour écouter la télévision en anglais plutôt que en espagnol.
