Hôtels avec petit déjeuner à San José, Costa Rica

Undiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro. Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask! We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor. Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited. Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property). Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

La chambre est propre et propre, le petit déjeuner est excellent, il y a un menu à choisir, il y a des fruits et cafés, il y a beaucoup de zones publiques pour les excursions collectives. Pas d'élévateurs est un problème.

We loved the staff and the location. We tried the restaurant of the hotel and found the food to be great but expensive. We liked our room but missed some basic items like a showercap and the sleepers we are used to finding in hotels like this one. They only provide 2 free bottles of water, so do not expect a couple each day like in other hotels. The internet connection was really disappointing. The bed was comfortable, and the room was ok overall.

le service était excellent et les installations étaient vraiment bonnes, j'ai particulièrement apprécié la salle de sport située au rez-de-chaussée, le petit déjeuner était fantastique et le seul inconvénient était qu'il pourrait y avoir plus de places assises à l'extérieur pour le petit-déjeuner

The location and the amenities are amazing. Everything is on walkable distance, I haven’t had to take any transportation at all during my stay. The quality of the rooms and amenities is quite high, there is nothing to complain about. The staff is extremely nice: this includes the securities, the restaurant staff, the housekeeping staff, the barmen and most of the reception staff, except a lady called Alison, with a little attitude and some disrespectful manners, definitely not at all aligned with Marriott standards. However, hopefully some training may bring improvements.

Les chambres sont agréables, bien que la décoration soit un peu vieillotte. Les espaces communs sont bien aménagés pour se détendre avec un livre ou faire connaissance avec les autres voyageurs séjournant au même étage. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est assez classique pour un hôtel du Costa Rica, mais de bonne qualité. L'espace se transforme également en bar le soir. L'hôtel propose également une salle de sport avec haltères et quelques appareils de musculation, ainsi que deux saunas, un sec et un hammam.

J'ai réservé cet hôtel pour la nuit précédant mon départ pour l'aéroport. J'ai été émerveillé par sa beauté et regrette de ne pas l'avoir su plus tôt. Le service et la gentillesse du personnel étaient excellents, et la cuisine du restaurant japonais était également très bonne. La navette pour l'aéroport était pratique. Je reviendrais sans hésiter lors d'un prochain séjour au Costa Rica. Le quartier est agréable, mais une voiture est indispensable pour se déplacer dans San José.

Excellent hôtel, propre. Un délicieux petit déjeuner et un personnel poli. Lorsque vous êtes sorti de l'hôtel, nous avons été demandés d'imprimer les documents et de nous appeler un taxi à l'aéroport - nous avons tous aidé. Nous sommes très heureux ♥️♥️♥️

Il n'y a pas de boîtes ou de distributeurs Kleenex dans la chambre, et la programmation de la télévision a été difficile à déchiffrer, en particulier le programme audio secondaire pour écouter la télévision en anglais plutôt que en espagnol.
