Hôtels avec petit déjeuner à Unguja Ville et Ouest, Tanzanie

I have never stayed in a hotel where the service and experience progressively got worse each day. Everything just started going downhill during our second day you wake up in the morning and the first thing that happens is you are asked about joining one of the tours and offer through the hotel and they do that every chance they get and the moment they find out that you have a booking For a tour with another company and not through them, they will just little snide comments and make you regret your decisions. The second thing was the food you had to order lunch hours before and when you ordered for specific time you get to the restaurant you still have to wait at least another 30 minutes to get it, I ordered calamari on one of those days for eight and only got four small pieces of calamari and that was it just for small pieces of calamari and fried plantain so that was basically two dollars per calamari. There was an element of feeling unsafe because one of the mornings as I was walking up to breakfast there was a strange man just walking around and when I get to breakfast, one of the staff members there tells me that there’s a man who has been asking about me and looking for me and as I turned there, that man is standing right there and my question was, how are you letting this man on the premises, and what if you wanted to come to me and you guys are letting him walk around this entire place because I ran into him on the other side of the hotel so there was that as well which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and uneasy and unsafe. They didn’t spray any mosquito spray as it’s common in the area to in and spray the room with mosquito spray at the end of each evening they only did that first night and we had to keep them and each time it was met with just a sigh of inconvenience like we were inconveniencing them getting there difficult worth it and I think that is the one thing I can attest to being the better part of this entire establishment, but that aside the services awful. You will go hungry, we told the bar open a specific time but it wouldn’t open. Also they change their rules at one day. It’s OK to have a meal by the bar closer to the beach the next day you can’t do that but then you’ll see them. Send them food down for specific people so that was also extremely offputting, I can safely say I will never set foot in that place ever again. Also, the WiFi was bad

The food was nice and distant from the airport was a good thing as our flight arrived a little after midnight. The staff were very hospitable and courteous.

The location is at the quiet side if the Stone Town. Due to it is situated inside a small alley, the directions could be quite complicated and we were lost several times to head back to the hotel. Despite being assured that it's safe, we were tapped by few mischievous children when we passed by a school near the hotel. That said, the room and hotel itself was great. We particularly enjoyed the breeze at the open air loft, where we could view the sea and ships from far away. It was indeed relaxing. The historical bed and bath in the room made the experience so unique. The only downside was there was insufficient of hot water for the bath. The breakfast wise was in fact the best we had in Tanzania, not to mention the impeccable hospitality provided by the staff there. Special shout out to the helpful staff who assisted us with our luggage during check in and out. Bear in mind on the steep staircase up to the room and inside the room to the loft. It might not be suitable for those who have knee problem, as you literally need to climb up and down everytime to the washroom. Otherwise, it was quite a memorable stay.

I stayed at this hotel upon arrival and departure from Zanzibar. The first time it was a short and enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, during my second stay I was upgraded to room 301, which is large and overlooks the swimming pool, but it needs maintenance, especially the bathroom, which needs immediate maintenance. It is a very noisy room, as you can hear the sounds of the elevator and the water pump. The furniture is luxurious, but old and needs to be upgraded. The location is excellent, overlooking the port, but the entrance to the hotel is on a potholed street. The staff is friendly and respectful.

J'ai récemment eu le plaisir de séjourner à l'hôtel Zanzi et je dois dire qu'il a dépassé toutes mes attentes. Dès mon arrivée, le personnel m'a fait sentir comme en famille, m'offrant un accueil chaleureux et un excellent service tout au long de mon séjour. L'hôtel est magnifiquement conçu, alliant confort moderne et touche de charme local, créant une atmosphère relaxante et accueillante. Ma chambre était spacieuse, bien équipée et impeccable, avec une vue imprenable sur les environs. Les équipements sont fantastiques, de la piscine rafraîchissante au délicieux restaurant sur place proposant une variété de plats savoureux. Ce qui ressort vraiment, c'est l'attention portée aux détails : chaque petit aspect a été soigneusement organisé pour garantir une expérience mémorable. L'emplacement de l'hôtel Zanzi est également parfait, offrant un accès facile aux attractions à proximité, ce qui en fait une base idéale pour explorer. Que vous soyez en visite pour affaires ou pour le plaisir, je recommande vivement l'hôtel Zanzi pour un séjour confortable, relaxant et mémorable !

Room, Balcony, View from the room and Restaurant is really nice. But only one thing they need to improve in their reception customer service. Room I signed when I check in and Room I really received was different. They changed the room without notice. I asked why they said it's same room inside. But it was totally different. Changed room has no privacy at all. We have to close the window during the stay. And I asked for late check out when I check in. They told me to check last day in the morning. In last day, I asked again for 2hrs late check out. They refused my request even didn't check the system. Just say NO. I am very disappointed with their attitude. And when I checked the site there were plenty room left. As everyone knows Zanzibar is the holiday place. Most of 5 star hotels in holiday place, they run check out time very flexible due to flight time. No deserve to have 5 stars in customer service.

L'hôtel est bien situé, dans la ville de Stone Town, ce qui est pratique pour se déplacer. La chambre, proposée en offre spéciale, se trouvait dans un bâtiment annexe ; elle était assez petite et sans ascenseur. Le service était correct, sans plus. Le plus scandaleux, c'est que le ventilateur de l'hôtel a arraché la moustiquaire pendant la nuit ! La chaînette métallique qui la retenait s'est également cassée ! C'était très dangereux de la voir tomber. Nous avons immédiatement appelé la réception pour signaler le problème, mais ils se sont contentés d'envoyer quelqu'un pour enlever la moustiquaire. Le lendemain, au moment du départ, nous avons de nouveau signalé le problème à la réception. Ils se sont contentés d'un simple « désolé ». Aucune compensation ni explication ne nous ont été proposées ! Je ne reviendrai jamais dans cet hôtel et je ne le recommanderais à personne.

Excellent stay at this lovely hotel! I can’t recommend it enough. It was an incredible price for the location and service. Very comfortable and clean room, great location near everything but on a quiet, tucked away block. Fabulous service and assistance from all of the staff. Arriving a bit late to breakfast hours and hoping maybe I can grab a bit of left over fruit- “no problem” and served me a full sit-down breakfast. Needed assistance retrieving a package from the crazy ferry terminal and the front desk attendant personally went to pick it up for me at the end of his shift. Many more examples of kind and helpful staff. I highly recommend and would definitely return.

Tout à fait enchanteur - de notre arrivée à 5 heures du matin jusqu'à notre départ 3 jours plus tard, nous avons été incroyablement bien traités. L'hôtel a organisé notre transfert depuis l'aéroport et s'est ouvert d'un simple clic (vous aurez peut-être besoin d'aide pour le trouver car il se trouve dans les rues étroites du vieux Stonetown). La façade de la maison était superbe et Peter s'est occupé de nous. L'hôtel a tellement d'atmosphère, pleine d'antiquités et de végétation luxuriante. Le petit déjeuner est servi sur le balcon du toit. Des excursions peuvent être organisées. J'avais lu quelques critiques désagréables mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi, la propreté était de première classe et l'hospitalité était exceptionnelle. J'espère que vous aurez la chance de trouver une chambre. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits, c'était tellement bien.
