L'attitude du personnel de service est très gentille, il y a un service comme le dîner et le petit-déjeuner payable, le contenu du petit-déjeuner est très riche, il est très utile, le WiFi Internet est désormais pas très stable, la pression de la salle de bain et l'espace sont un peu petits

The room was well cleaned and spacious enough for the family. Great location near the beach and the train station. Would definitely come back for future Lake District visits. Great price as well!

After climbing the scafell pike, we went straight to this hotel. The staffs were really kind especially to the old man. You can really see the passion in his work . The hotel was amazing because it’s clean and well maintained. They also have a restaurant so you don’t have to go outside to look for a food which is really inconvenient idea for those who are tired from climbing. I guess we tried to book for an uber eats, deliveroo etc but they don’t have it in that area. The food was great and they have a free breakfast as well.

I’d stayed here for almost 4 nights I love the room.
Even though I booked a single room, I have plenty of space. I have an option to have housekeeping or the token in the bar, but there's a bit of confusion about using the token in the water. I checked in Friday night so bars along the street are having fun it's kinda loud so the wall is vibrating as well 😅😂I mean you can hear it very loud. Overall my stay it's okay!

Bien qu'il ait un aspect sans temps, un magnifique bâtiment historique, il a des caractéristiques modernes, et des aspects, qui le rendent très confortable.
L'expérience de l'hôtel la plus belle, j'ai eu depuis l'année, je suis impatient de rester à nouveau, un arrêt parfait pour moi

酒店在一家大型生活區工業區旁邊，記得旁邊是Tesco超市，步行可達。酒店的房間蠻大的，服務人員也很客氣，晚上安保措施不錯，會有門禁卡。總的來説自駕遊的朋友可以選擇。從那裡到温德米爾湖大概五十分鐘吧，開車子可以選擇。

An amazing hotel with friendly helpful staff. Room comfortable with a large bathroom. The food was tremendous and I recommend the steak and ale pie.

IInvitéRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

IInvitéI have grave misgivings about hotels in the busiest parts of the Lake District, especially at holiday times. Obviously they will be relentlessly overcrowded, with harassed and unfriendly staff. I’ve wanted to go back to the Proper Lake District for a while though so took a risk on the King’s Head. It’s easy to find on the ear popping main road up from Grasmere, just beyond the impressive hulk of Steel Fell, close to Thirlemere. Parking anywhere in the Lakes is hideous and expensive. Not here. Relaxed and plenty of room. It’s a long building with a pleasant bar restaurant area and beer garden. I found a rather pleasant residents lounge where a lady called Jo checked me in and made me feel welcome. It does get busy with passing trade but the staff look after their residents. They flogged me decent real ale and Jura whisky (the proper stuff). Breakfast is briskly table served from a menu and is well presented. I didn’t eat otherwise there but the food is popular and well priced. The road outside is busy and a bit of a racetrack, and the occasional fighter jet roars between the mountains on low altitude practice, but the relentless bleating of the sheep opposite soon returns things to normal. I was a little sorry to depart, but the manager said he hoped I would come again. I believe I will, and will even bring my wife.

IInvité£200 for a basic room for one night was a bit on the pricey side for me, however it was nice all the same. A few of the photos of the basic room are misleading. The photos show a four post double bed which is not the case. We found out later this is actually an executive room despite it being labeled basic.
We found out that the hotel location is accessible by bus from Oxenholme train station (despite being told the opposite) and has a great view of beautiful fields. Food in the hotel is good but expensive... My eyes nearly popped out their sockets when I saw the £8.00 charge just for the tiniest amount of table bread. I'd say this was probably the reason the restaurant was empty despite being told we need to book a table due to its popularity. Swimming pool and steam room are average for the price.
Staff are friendly and changed our room to a double bed room free of charge after mistakenly putting us in a twin bedroom.

Rrockylee1, l'hôtel est très situé, la marche à la marine est également en 10 minutes, le restaurant proche est très nombreux et la cuisine est très pratique. La chambre est grande et il y a une salle de séjour, inattendu, mais la salle de séjour est à côté du lit, à côté de la rue, quelques chaussures le matin et la nuit, en particulier la vitesse de la voiture britannique est généralement plus rapide, une attention particulière. Le petit déjeuner est prématurément préparé pour le lait de céréales de yoghurt, certains dans le réfrigérateur, d'autres dans les caisses de stockage, ne pas attendre trop.
2, si vous êtes venu, vous devez avoir une carte de stationnement avec la réception, 3 livres par jour, un parking illimité, plusieurs places peuvent être parcées, en fait, c'est très pratique. Lorsque vous partez, vous pouvez aller au parking d'abord, et vous pouvez installer la carte de stationnement et le baril à la réception quand vous rentrez.

薛薛L'hôtel est relativement isolé, mais l'environnement est surprenant, les chambres sont propres, la pelouse du jardin est très confortable et les enfants s'amusent. Il n'y a pas d'endroit pour manger à proximité, seulement le dîner à l'hôtel. On estime qu'habituellement seuls les locaux s'y rendront. La capacité de service est limitée. Le dîner ne peut être servi qu'à une heure précise, mais les plats sont plus délicats.

IInvitéThe hotel is located in a prime location overlooking the lake, the service was friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, that shower was excellent if a little small, I ordered poached eggs which were done to perfection, the rest of the breakfast was buffet style which was OK. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, service and cleanliness. I think it needs a little tlc but our stay was very enjoyable

IInvitéI arrived on a stormy night in the lake district - on entering the hotel I was met with a warm glow from the log fire and a very warm welcome from the receptionist.
As the hotel dining room was about to close, a room was sorted and the kitchen kept open for an evening meal - a delicious melt in the mouth steak was a pleasure after a 6 hour
drive from the south of england, washed down with a welcome glass of Shiraz.
The bed was very comfortable, the room had a large bath and separate shower cubicle and copious hot water.
The decor and fittings were in sympathy with the age and history of the hotel, a pleasant change from the blandness of more modern mass market hotels.
The staff were very friendly and it was a pleasure to be assisted without having to use automated impersonal systems.
I will not hesitate to stay at the hotel again when I am next in the area.

PPriyanka BajirajThe property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore.
Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair.
Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.

IInvitéI have only good things to say! Room was very spacious and lovely for the both of us and had everything you needed. We stayed in a triple room for 2 of us (but in the end room had 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds but no problems with that of course). Bed was very comfortable, shared showers and toilets outside were clean, spacious and bright. Counter staff Matt in particular was incredibly helpful and friendly, and helped us figure out a way to hike Blencathra via Sharp Edge in the morning, informed us of bus availabilities and schedules etc. They also allowed us to store luggage with them while we hiked and allowed us to use their toilets and showers to freshen up after the hike. We also had lunch there and food was delicious!! Really great hotel very value for money. Thank you!
