Die Zimmer waren recht groß und ruhig, das Bett sehr bequem und die Klimaanlage konnte das Zimmer auf eine angenehme Temperatur kühlen. Als wir den Self-Check-In nicht hinbekamen, kam umgehend eine Dame an die Rezeption, um uns zu helfen. Sie war sehr freundlich und hat uns auch noch Tipps für Restaurants in der Nähe gegeben, da das Restaurant neben dem Hotel bereits wegen der Hitze geschlossen hatte.

L'hôtel et le personnel étaient très beaux. Il y avait un problème avec la réservation quand nous sommes arrivés et malgré cela nous avons réservé 2 chambres il y avait une erreur de système quelque part entre trip.com et l'hôtel, cependant le récepteur a traité la situation très professionnellement et rapidement et a également donné Nous avons un petit déjeuner gratuit pour le prochain jour pour l'inconvénient.

La location de l'hôtel Z est excellente. Sainsbury et Tesco Express pour les produits de cuisine et les hors-cours à une distance de marche facile. Roman Baths and Abbey moins de 5 minutes de marche. Pulteney Bridge & Weir, Guildhall Market, tout à l'intérieur d'un saut et d'un ski. La chambre est typiquement petite, mais confortable. Le personnel est superbe et ami, le stockage de bagages avec un sourire. L'amour! Le bain est fantastique. Je peux certainement vivre ici et profiter de tous les parcs. Même dans la vague froide, je me suis regroupé et explore tous les parcs et jardins magnifiques, comme un Bridgerton extra-promenade 🤣❤️

Comfortable Stay and Great Location
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Taunton and had a very comfortable experience. The hotel is easy to access, just off the M5, which made it a convenient base for exploring Somerset or stopping over during a longer journey.
The room was clean and quiet, with everything I needed — a comfy bed, a good shower, and a desk area. Wi-Fi worked well, and I appreciated the tea/coffee station. While the decor is slightly dated in some areas, everything was well-maintained.
Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional from check-in to check-out. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold options, and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere in the evening too.

La location est proche de la gare et des attractions touristiques. Les boissons dans le frigo sont gratuites. Le personnel est magnifique, mais il y avait beaucoup de poussière dans la chambre.

Ask reception staff about the shortcut to town and shops. Otherwise, it's a mission.

Nothing wrong with it really except that I was expecting a HOTEL based on the pictures and certainly the price! The location is great but be aware that this an INN with rooms attached at the back. Breakfast not included (costs £15 extra). Location great right in front of the cathedral but no parking. A good, comfortable stay but overpriced fro what it was and the time of year (mid-October).

The place was extremely cozy and pretty too. Had little expectations when booking a guesthouse, but the place exceeded my expectations. The location was convenient too, to hangout at Bath. The bed was cozy. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Loved the stay overall and would definitely visit them again if I come back to Bath.

La chambre a été aménagée en une chambre plus grande. Il y avait une baignoire et une douche. Il y avait aussi un réfrigérateur.
Il n'y avait guère de bruit de la route.
Les portes de chambre ouvertes et fermées étaient très bruyantes.
La salle de sport était standard pour un hôtel.
La piscine était ouverte jusqu'à 10 heures, avec la nécessité de réserver un créneau - aucun problème n'a été trouvé avec cela.
La salle de vapeur était rénovée, mais la sauna était disponible.
La télévision a fonctionné bien, mais ce n'est pas là où vous pouvez lancer.
L'air con fonctionnait bien.

IInvitéThe hotel all in all is very good. Clean, polite staff and location is perfect.
Parking will have to be in the public parking around the corner which is about £20 for a day.
Online it said the hotel offers halal food but once we got there they said they aren't sure they do it.
The staff also informed us that we wouldn't be able to eat at the restaurant that day because they were booked for a function, but we feel this should've been communicated beforehand by email etc.
Other than this I think this hotel is the best in the area and is very classy and welcoming.

UUtilisateur anonymeC'était un séjour très agréable. Le personnel était très sympathique et serviable. Le petit déjeuner était bon aussi. La chambre était généralement propre mais la raison pour laquelle j'ai donné quatre pour la propreté est que l'oreiller était un peu poussiéreux.
Une chose à noter était que parfois l'ascenseur sentait mauvais et le couloir dans lequel nous avons séjourné sentait comme si quelqu'un fumait dans la chambre. Je comprends que le comportement des clients n'est parfois pas nécessairement sous leur contrôle. Par conséquent, cela n'a pas affecté mes notes.
J'y retournerais certainement car c'était un bon rapport qualité-prix !

LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful.
We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest.
The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss.
One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go.
Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109.

Only complaint was the shower wasn't as powerful as we would of liked and the floorboards were very creaky so we could hear the people above at night and also when they ran their taps.

IInvitéL'hôtel est un bâtiment incroyable qui doit prendre quelques entretiens.
Nous avons réservé une chambre double pour une nuit et nous sommes arrivés à l'heure du déjeuner avec l'intention de visiter le bain pendant quelques jours.
Le contrôle en cours (après 15 heures) était très facile et nous disposions d'une chambre très propre avec beaucoup de serviettes, 2 robes et des pantalons pour le spa/la piscine.
La chambre double avait un lit de taille royale qui était très confortable.
La piscine de l'hôtel était pleine et semblait un peu fatiguée, mais comme prévu.
Nous n'avons pas eu de traitements spa ou d'utilisation de l'équipe de gym, mais les deux étaient bien gardés et l'équipe de gym avait de bons équipements modernes.
Nous n'avons pas mangé dans le restaurant, mais nous avons préféré trouver un restaurant dans le bain.
Le petit déjeuner était un peu chaotique avec plusieurs employés de l'hôtel qui faisaient des tâches différentes sans coordination apparente. Le petit déjeuner a pris bien plus d'une heure, ce qui est pauvre. Le petit garçon avec son papier était un peu inutile.
Le petit déjeuner «full English» est arrivé à la table de nourriture bien cuite, mais pas vraiment comme le décrit dans le menu. Nous n'avons pas servi de toasts ni et nous avons dû demander à la demande, à la différence des autres tables qui l'ont reçu avec leur ordre de boissons qui semblait un peu bizarre.
Le buffet continental était un peu rare sans boeufs ni éponges, nous avons donc dû utiliser nos verres de jus de fruits pour le yogurt et les fruits.
Tout pourrait être amélioré avec un petit-déjeuner buffet sous une plaque chaude si elles n'ont pas assez de personnel pour le servir.

IInvitéGreat hotel and very close to town and train station. Superb staff very polite, respectful and friendly. Breakfast was also good. However it’s usually very busy in the mornings so being a wheelchair user it was very difficult to get a suitable tablet. However one of the staff members did come to my help but it was a little bit late. Non dairy milk was also provided but being self service the wait was quite long and I ended up leaving without any hot drink. The room also didn’t have a window and it was also a bit small to manoeuvre my wheelchair. Bed was comfortable but the air conditioning kept coming on which was not good for my health.

IInvitéWe booked 2 nights for a relaxing spa weekend. Based on it being a spa hotel. We planned on staying in the hotel for the whole weekend.
When we arrived we were told there was no restaurant or bar we can use as it’s only used for events.
We then had some lunch in the spa cafe. Food was ok. Service was terrible.
We then went to the room as we were able to check in. The cleaner was still there. Very apologetic extremely polite and lovely. The room was absolutely wonderful. Large bedroom bathroom and living room.
We went out and found a pub for food. When we returned to relax in the room we found the party was directly below us and in full swing. Very loud and noisy and the smoking area was right outside our window. We called reception but they were fully booked. Glad to say it all stopped at midnight.
We went down to breakfast at 9.30. Not much left and the full breakfast was cold. When we questioned it we were just told”well it has been there since 7” it had just sat on the side in silver trays for 2.5 hours, no heat or option to reheat. It wasn’t edible.
We skipped breakfast that we paid for on the second day.
We then thought we would spend some time in the spa. Ha! Well the pool is small, no where to relax just a couple of plastic chairs, not a spa at all. It had a very small sauna and steam room. The jacuzzi didn’t work it was just a pool of cloudy water with a few bubbles.
Would not recommend. Seems it used to be and could be a wonderful place to be but has been taken over and lost its sole. Such a shame as the building and grounds are wonderful.
I have to add the cleaning staff and lady on reception were wonderful, welcoming and friendly.

IInvitéAmazing value for money; simple selections of food, compact no frills chalets: could do with a bit of attention to detail with deep cleaning; decent bedding and towels, fantastic and varied entertainment generally throughout the day and late into the evening; most acts are really good. Nice to be able to set up to work remotely in the ballroom during the day and take in the fun that holiday makers are having. The Blue Coats are an engaging team. Drink prices are OK for a setting like this. We are 53 and 58 and on the younger scale of most holiday makers but whatever age, this adult only holiday park delivers quality for money hands down. Bus travels from the road outside the site to Weston Super Mare hourly during the day; beach is just a walk away down the site entrance. Taxi's are affordable if a comfi trip into town is wanted. Can imagine how amazing this establishment will be in summer (and they don't seem to hike the prices to eye watering levels during the warmer months). The range of themed weekday stays (4 days Mon-Fri) and weekend (Fri-Mon) are varied. We need to be in the WSM area for a couple of months - staying at various hotels / establishments, but now we have found Sand Bay, we have chosen to book here for several weeks back to back. For that reason, we have brought our own bedding with us, to personalise our chalet and make it more homely for our extended stay. Reception team are generally welcoming and efficient and Jade the holiday booking team member is ever so helpful. Well done Sand Bay!
