Hôtels avec petit déjeuner à somerset, Royaume-Uni

Le lobby et le petit déjeuner étaient tous deux très bons. Cependant, nous avons connu quelques problèmes avec notre chambre. Le lit double était assez petit, et la chambre que nous avons initialement attribuée n'était pas correspondant aux photos présentées lors de la réservation. Le personnel a fait de notre mieux pour nous accueillir, ce que nous apprécions. Malheureusement, le processus a pris beaucoup de temps et a impliqué plusieurs changements de chambre. La chambre finale que nous avons été attribuée était beaucoup mieux et répondait à nos attentes. Si nous avions été donné cette marge dès le début, notre expérience aurait été beaucoup plus positive. Il semble que certaines chambres ont été rénovées et sont beaucoup plus récentes, tandis que d'autres sont plus âgées et moins réfléchies aux images annoncées en ligne.

La chambre d'hôtel est propre et dispose de la climatisation, mais la télévision est vieille et n'a pas de prise USB. La pièce est petite, environ 120 pieds carrés. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner de l'hôtel propose des plats généraux, tels que des œufs brouillés, des saucisses, du pain... En termes d'emplacement, il se trouve à environ 15 minutes à pied du centre-ville, ce qui est très pratique pour visiter les attractions du centre-ville. Il y a des places de parking à l'entrée de l'hôtel, mais il est recommandé de se garer tôt, car j'ai personnellement l'impression qu'il n'y a pas assez de places de parking. L'ambiance générale est bonne et les serveurs sont sympathiques. 

The hotel is situated on a beautiful road with amazing buildings surrounding it. It is pretty much a stone’s throw away from where all of the shops, bars, and cafes are. The staff are extremely friendly, always smiling as they greet you. They act professionally and even give you ideas and suggestions for tours. The room we had wonderfully tall walls and high ceiling, however, the carpet for the floor hurt our feet to walk on, so I would suggest taking slippers (we did not take any unfortunately). All in all, it was a great place to stay with a delicious breakfast the morning after. Would definitely stay there again.

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. Quite an old hotel, which has managed to preserve it's historical rooms beautifully. I do warn that the rooms can become quite chilly at night especilaly when the heating isn't turned on in september. And the windows could barely open so you constantly have to keep them open. But otherwise it's still a very beautiful old hsitorical hotel that I could appreciate. I do admit the price was quite high, for the small room I got, especially considering it was usually supposed to be shared between two people. Not great value for money, but definetly can appreciate its history and beauty.

The location was amazing and easy by walking in town, meet the hotel standards on cleanliness, service and location. staff is very friendly with smile especially on the breakfast time, they are really helpful. However I have booked for 2 nights with the city view queen bed room, but It’s no city view at all. Also, this room is on the upper ground floor and nearby the storage cleaning room is not the good idea for customer especially on the early morning time. The problem is the room always has a terrible noise all the time which make me terrible and can’t sleep well when I am being on the room. I have requested the room which away from elevators and good view before booking but not get anything at all.

Excellent standard of room with individual heating and air-conditioning. Breakfast was wonderful, very good quality ingredients and very relaxed buffet. Location very handy for Harvester next door and a nice 24 hour bar in reception area. Free parking too!

We booked 2 nights for a relaxing spa weekend. Based on it being a spa hotel. We planned on staying in the hotel for the whole weekend.  When we arrived we were told there was no restaurant or bar we can use as it’s only used for events.  We then had some lunch in the spa cafe. Food was ok. Service was terrible.  We then went to the room as we were able to check in. The cleaner was still there. Very apologetic extremely polite and lovely. The room was absolutely wonderful. Large bedroom bathroom and living room.  We went out and found a pub for food. When we returned to relax in the room we found the party was directly below us and in full swing. Very loud and noisy and the smoking area was right outside our window. We called reception but they were fully booked. Glad to say it all stopped at midnight.  We went down to breakfast at 9.30. Not much left and the full breakfast was cold. When we questioned it we were just told”well it has been there since 7” it had just sat on the side in silver trays for 2.5 hours, no heat or option to reheat. It wasn’t edible.  We skipped breakfast that we paid for on the second day.  We then thought we would spend some time in the spa. Ha! Well the pool is small, no where to relax just a couple of plastic chairs, not a spa at all. It had a very small sauna and steam room. The jacuzzi didn’t work it was just a pool of cloudy water with a few bubbles.  Would not recommend. Seems it used to be and could be a wonderful place to be but has been taken over and lost its sole. Such a shame as the building and grounds are wonderful.  I have to add the cleaning staff and lady on reception were wonderful, welcoming and friendly.

Came with no expectations. We don't arrive anywhere in UK with high expectations anymore. The Royal didn't disappoint! Arrived on a Sunday for a night stay after the Saturday night England semi-final. Room was fine, bathroom was fine. Location is excellent. Went down to the bar for a pint and to sit in the beer ”garden” Photo shows what we met. Boiling hot, no tables put out and only one parasol set up. Like walking into a furnace. Decided to go down the road. Had a great meal in the Little thatch, busy and full by the time we left(under cover, under parasols) and gave them our £70. Went for a walk and sat in one of the numerous bars by the Marine Lake for an evening drink. Again, busy and full and shaded. A fab evening. Walked past the Wetherspoons, again very busy and back to the Royal. Empty in the bar!! Nobody outside. Hope they had a good night Saturday, shame we couldn't have a nice meal there Sunday. Very disappointed that the hotel didn't clear up and reset tables for Sunday, they must have lost a fortune. As we left Monday, noise due to hosing down and putting tables back into place, a bit late for us. Both receptionist were helpful but used the excuse that there was football Saturday, didn't fully seem to understand why we were unhappy. If it wasn't for the fact that they ask you to pay up front, we probably would have left. Also not happy that we had to leave our card details in case we ”trashed” the room!!! Really? A 66 and 70 year old couple? We trusted the Royal, they clearly didn't trust us.
