There's a lot that's right with this hotel. Room is clean, bright and modern looking. If there is such a thing as a super king size bed then this would be it. Comfortable firmness with 4 pillows. Bedroom slippers, hand towels and usual toiletries provided. Water pressure and temperature control is good. I really appreciate having usb/electrical outlets next to each side of the bed. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms available. I have to say their breakfast spread is the most varied that I have ever seen. Loads of choices and it came with a nice view as the restaurant is on the 17th floor. Service was a bit slow when it came to clearing the used plates if you're not near the service station but still acceptable. All the staff that we encountered were very polite and friendly, from front desk to housekeeping. Location wise it's quite central. Lots of cafes and a few mini marts around the hotel area. Can use grab if you need to go further.

Le menu principal, composé de riz frit, d'œufs au plat et d'autres accompagnements, était délicieux, mais je n'ai pas apprécié les fritures et les boissons. Le parking n'étant pas assez grand, je me suis garé devant l'immeuble, mais la navette est venue me chercher et m'a emmené dans le hall. Une fois garé dehors, j'ai senti une forte odeur d'égout. Le personnel de l'hôtel était très aimable et poli, de la réceptionniste au personnel de nettoyage en passant par le personnel de cuisine, qui saluait poliment les clients à leur passage.

Notre séjour au DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya a été tout simplement exceptionnel. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, et ce qui nous a le plus marqués, c'est leur service véritablement personnalisé. Différents membres du personnel nous connaissaient par notre nom lors de nos visites, ce qui nous a permis de nous sentir véritablement appréciés et comme chez nous. Un grand merci à Adi et Sophia, qui ont tout mis en œuvre pour que notre séjour soit confortable et inoubliable. Leur attention, leur chaleur et leur professionnalisme ont fait toute la différence, et nous apprécions sincèrement leurs efforts. Le petit-déjeuner était exceptionnel, proposant une grande variété de plats délicieux et joliment présentés. Chaque détail était soigneusement préparé, ce qui en a fait un moment fort de notre séjour. Nous avons également adoré le club enfants, qui proposait des activités bien pensées pour les divertir. Il était évident que tout avait été pensé pour en faire un espace ludique et stimulant pour les familles. Le service dans tout l'hôtel était irréprochable, reflétant les standards élevés du DoubleTree by Hilton. Chaque interaction a été accueillie avec chaleur et une réelle disponibilité. Si nous retournons à Surabaya, le DoubleTree by Hilton sera sans aucun doute notre premier choix. Je le recommande vivement !

Nous avons choisi de rester à Swiss-Bel en raison de notre grande expérience avec Ciputra à Semarang, qui est propriétaire de Swiss-Bel. Malheureusement, la Suisse-Bel Surabaya ne peut pas concurrencer Ciputra Semarang. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans le hall où les clients se rendent à l'entrée et les personnes à la sortie se promenent. Le choix de nourriture est beaucoup moins cher que Ciputra et Swiss-Bel Malang. L'hôtel lui-même est bon et suffisant pour le petit déjeuner si vous ne le comparez pas à Ciputra et Swiss-Bel Malang. Il faut absolument améliorer la situation en ce qui concerne la noix, la pâtisserie de chocolat et la pâtisserie de paillettes de paillettes, pas de jarrets où les invités doivent se faire sortir de la douceur avec un couteau ou une cuillère. C'est irrigidique et pas goûtant.

This is actually a VERY COOL hotel. As someone who LOVE vintage things, I really appriciate this place. From their historical front building, their vintage styled room, all took me back to the 90s to early 2000. The NOSTALGIA 🥺. When I was little, my grandpa and grandma used to take me travel and stayed at hotels. So hotels like these have a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, it looked like they really cut down the budget. Although they gave a very cheap price for their room (not more than IDR 250K including breakfast), on WEEKENDS?? But the towels were not white anymore and felt thin (not like other hotel towels), the sheets had tough spots, and no shower cap. But I loveddd the lemongrass soap and shampoo, and they were in dispensers so less plastic waste. The breakfast was really sad. It was nice when I stayed here around a couple of years ago. But this time it was worse. Not too many options and looked empty. Really felt like they didn't put much effort. Well, what do you expect for that price? And I understand they might be in a very tight budget. I noticed they added a ”Mini Zoo” signage. A staff warned me that there were not many animals yet. But I decided to go see it. Turned out it was located in the side of the parking road (but outdoor), there were fishes and a big avian animal (like chicken but different, I don't know what it was). And some parakeets in two separate cages, they were all dead 😭😭 I told a staff and they quickly removed the dead birds. Good idea but poor execution. But anyways, location was top. Just a few meters across the street, there was a bus stop and you can hop on the Suroboyo Bus to go anywhere. And the hotel itself was in a main street of a hot destination (Old Town Surabaya), with historical buildings complex, also with the chinatown nearby. I really hope they can survive this economy storm. I really love this hotel 🥺.

Breakfast was fantastic but you might consider to add more protein menu. The room was clean. The staffs were really helpful

C'était agréable. Mais la chambre est un peu décevante… Manque un peu de confort. Les équipements de la chambre pourraient être mieux entretenus. Le service de nettoyage semble perfectible. À part cela, la réception et la hotline fonctionnent bien. L'hôtel est bien situé et offre un bon accès à la restauration et au restaurant. Malheureusement, la salle de sport ferme à 17 h. Je suppose que je ne pourrai jamais y aller si je suis en voyage d'affaires… J'espère que les horaires pourront être étendus à l'avenir. Le petit-déjeuner était correct. Le choix est correct et la qualité est clairement perfectible.

I had a wonderful stay at Bumi Surabaya Resort Hotel. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a true resort vibe right in the heart of the city. The view is stunning, the Wi-Fi is super fast, and the food is genuinely delicious with a wide variety to choose from. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality – every staff member was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Surabaya, whether for business or leisure! I found nice squirrel to live in the tree nearby

The hotel was great: it is crispy clean, strategic location (it is located in a very large and modern shopping mall complex), the service is top notch, especially during breakfast at Djaman Doeloe restaurant. One of the staff (Evi, I think) asked me what my favourite that they didn't have on that morning. Told her, I like traditional ”klepon” cake. The next morning, Pak Andik, the pastry chef, brought me 3 klepon, fresh from his kitchen. What a surprise. The cake was delicious, especially with black coffee. Thanks, Pak Andik and Evi, for your hospitality. Will be back again in the near future.
