I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

Ma copine et moi avons été prises en charge à la gare de Congjiang, ce qui était très pratique. Dès notre arrivée, les propriétaires de l'hôtel se sont montrés extrêmement accueillants et serviables. L'établissement est situé à l'arrière du village, à côté d'un champ de colza et de riz cultivés toute l'année. L'emplacement était idéal pour nous : paisible et calme, tout en étant à deux pas du charmant petit village animé. La chambre était spacieuse et propre, avec une vue magnifique sur le champ. La décoration intérieure est très soignée et les équipements sont excellents. Il y avait même une petite machine à laver, ce qui nous a permis de faire notre lessive nous-mêmes. De tous nos séjours en Chine jusqu'à présent, c'est le meilleur ! Un café-restaurant très élégant et charmant se trouve au premier étage. C'est là que vous prendrez un délicieux petit-déjeuner et que Ni Li et sa sœur vous accueilleront avec un sourire à chaque fois que vous passerez. Ni Li, son mari Tao Mingqing, sa sœur et son frère ont joué un rôle crucial pendant notre séjour. Après la première nuit, ma femme est tombée gravement malade à cause d'une infection et n'a pratiquement pas quitté sa chambre. La deuxième nuit, j'ai eu une intoxication alimentaire, ce qui a aggravé la situation (et ce n'était pas dû à l'hôtel !). Nous avons finalement prolongé notre séjour en raison de son état. Heureusement, Li parle très bien anglais, ce qui nous a beaucoup aidés à gérer les difficultés médicales. Nous avons eu énormément de chance de séjourner chez Li et sa famille, car ils ont pris soin de nous comme si nous étions de leur propre famille. Ils préparaient des repas et des dîners personnalisés chaque jour, adaptés à nos besoins, nous offraient du thé, appelaient les médecins locaux, servaient d'interprètes et nous accompagnaient à l'hôpital à plusieurs reprises. Nous étions là pendant la fête de Qingming, et les voitures étaient interdites dans le village, ce qui compliquait encore les déplacements vers l'hôpital. Cela n'a pas découragé Tao Mingqing, qui nous a emmenés à l'hôpital à plusieurs reprises en moto, un par un ! La dernière fois, j'avais même oublié un sac, et il est retourné le chercher pour moi ! C'est vraiment un homme exceptionnel. Heureusement, ma convalescence a été assez rapide, ce qui m'a permis d'explorer un peu le village et de passer du temps avec Li et Ming, tout en restant près de la chambre de ma compagne. Le quatrième jour, la fièvre de ma compagne baissait et son état s'améliorait légèrement. Li et Ming nous ont invités à prendre le thé. Ming m'a montré son impressionnante collection et a pris soin de préparer le thé le plus adapté à notre état. Le thé était absolument délicieux et il a fini par remplir un grand sachet de thés variés en cadeau ! Et ce n'était pas tout : pour que nous ne les oubliions jamais et que nous prenions l'habitude de déguster le thé en pleine conscience, à la chinoise, une fois rentrés chez nous, ils nous ont offert les tasses à thé traditionnelles, ornées du dragon bleu et du phénix. La situation était très stressante et, alors que nous étions au plus mal, ils étaient là pour prendre soin de nous, des inconnus qu'ils venaient de rencontrer. Cela en dit long sur ces personnes exceptionnelles. Malgré la maladie de ma compagne et les circonstances difficiles, nous gardons un souvenir chaleureux de notre séjour, car cette expérience unique a tissé des liens indéfectibles. Nous avons eu l'immense chance de rencontrer Li et sa famille. Nous les avons déjà remerciés des centaines de fois, mais je ne saurais exprimer toute ma gratitude envers eux. Merci de nous avoir accueillis comme si nous étions de votre famille ! ＜3 Si vous hésitez à séjourner chez eux, n'ayez aucune crainte ! I'd like to share my impressions of my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the hotel is very new and designer inside. The view of the village is, I'd say, the best in the area. First things first: the hotel offers a butler service, and when you arrive at the attraction, a butler will meet you and take your luggage. You don't have to bother walking to the bus, which is quite a distance, and the entire scenic area is on a mountain, requiring constant climbing. The hotel is also located on a hillside, so getting to it requires a climb up narrow steps. The butler carried my luggage and accompanied me the entire time. The walk from the entrance to the hotel took about 25 minutes, including the bus and the walk. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted at reception and offered afternoon tea; there were five drinks on the menu. I chose a milk oolong tea with milk, and they offered me fruit, nuts, and homemade cookies. It was delicious. I spent the entire time relaxing, drinking tea, and enjoying the village views. After I'd rested, I went to my room. I was given a room on the 4th floor with the lucky number 888. The room has absolutely everything: excellent Loccitan cosmetics, toiletries, robes, and slippers—everything is of very good quality. There's also a modern hairdryer and steam iron. There was a bath on the balcony, but I didn't use it because it was chilly. The room is really new; it has underfloor heating if you get cold, and also air conditioning. The bed linen, pillows, and blanket were wonderful. I didn't even notice how my night passed; I truly rested for the two nights I stayed at this hotel. The hotel staff explained how I could spend my time and took me to a restaurant where I could have a delicious meal. Then I went for a walk. I spent the entire evening strolling around the village and taking in the sights. That evening, when I returned, I was offered evening soup, which I really enjoyed; it was very unusual. Since I was a foreign tourist, the hotel staff communicated with me using a translator via WeChat, which was very convenient and prevented any misunderstandings. The next morning, I was offered breakfast, which was served on the first floor of the hotel. The dining room was also very beautiful and well-renovated. After breakfast, I went for a walk around the village to take beautiful photos. I had a wonderful time in the village, taking in the sights. I especially enjoyed the local people's show on New Year's Eve, as well as the singing of the women and men of the Miao people. The day before my departure, the hotel staff asked what time my return tickets to Guiyang would be and told me they would arrange for me to be transported to the entrance so I could call a taxi. I would give this hotel the highest rating, firstly because it's in a wonderful location on a mountain with a magnificent view, and literally a three-minute walk from the main observation deck. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel personnel, and especially to the butler his wechat name Velpro, they are all tried their best to help me and accompanied me on all my questions. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel owners, who care about the interior order, cleanliness, and the care of their guests. This level of hospitality is truly rare. If I return to this village, I will definitely stay at this hotel. I recommend it to everyone.

Une personne est venue à Xiangxi pour se déplacer en vacances, le voyageur a été sélectionné pour avoir accès directement à l'expérience! Le directeur m'a appelé très tôt et est venu à l'avance pour me répondre quand il est arrivé à la petite porte du paysage nord. Le voyage m'a aidé à porter des bagages lourds, et la poussière ne doit pas faire de mal à moi-même. J'ai aussi bien réglé les attractions de la carte de masse et les plats. Le service de la Directrice Asuper est enthousiaste et patient. Il y a des problèmes qui vont à la suite. La salle de vue est vraiment surpris, la fenêtre de la terre est super grande face à toute la boue, la forêt est pleine de jour et la nuit est pleine de lumières. La chambre est propre et calme, la réception est également très enthousiaste, vous êtes confortable et tranquille, vous êtes soignée de chaleur tout le voyage, vous ne serez pas tout seul, vous devez vivre ici à Xijiang!

I booked very early to stay 9 nights to rest from the 5/1 busy holiday crowd for my one month travel in this region of China. The first week of my stay turned out to be a wonderful encounter of sorts. Two different ladies I met during my Feb trip to Shaxi, Yunnan decided to join me in Xingyi during their 5/1 holiday. I explained my new stay situation to the lady owner and very readily she arranged for us to stay in the 3 bedroom during their visit and move me back to my original booking after they left. Her flexibility and adaptability is impressive. We hit it off immediately and my 2 friends from different parts of China also experienced her kindness and super hospitality. All of us also received a thoughtful parting gift from her. Because the homestay was firstly built as a home, all amenities you can think of for a comfortable home is in each room. There is a good brand water purifier that emits drinking water at useful set temperatures for boiling, coffee, baby or room. There is a fridge within the room and any extra cookwares can be provided as needed. The room is also a Smarthome, I was delighted that xiaoai tongxue could understand my weird Chinese pronunciation. The bed and furnishings are top notched. I slept very well and deeply every night. I also used the Haier washing machine, make sure not to pour too much washing detergent as it is a high efficent machine. I am very grateful to be invited for meals whenever I'm at my room. It was very heart warming to witness the big heartedness of the lady owner. She gave me the feeling of coming home to a family that I never knew I have. I felt rested and so much at ease staying at this beautiful home that I was dragging my feet when it is time to leave. I think for my future travels, I will consider visiting for at least a week's rest, since its location is so accessible via either airport or highspeed train station. There is also a medical wellness shop next door. Best way to fully experience the life at this homestay is to show up for a free foot soak to understand the traditional chinese medicine concept of wellness and talk to their customers to learn of their recovery experiences. In summary, I highly recommend this homestay when you want to rest in a well designed city like Xingyi and to experience the friendliness of Guizhou people. The weather in Xingyi is also very conducive for good living. A good life should be lived and experienced like this; everyday making a point to eat well together, having good conversations and laughs, with love. Here, the connections are real.

When I mentioned wanting to capture Anshun through video, she acted. Within hours, she connected me with a talented local photographer—a true artist. The footage? Breathtaking. She gifted me memories I'll hold forever. A European's Truth: ”I Felt Home” The subtle loneliness of being far from familiar faces simply dissolved here. Language barriers softened through smiles and genuine care. Cultural distance? Bridged by shared tea, laughter, and her pride in showing me her Anshun. I didn't feel like a foreigner. I felt like a guest who'd been warmly awaited. Why This Review? Because travel at its best isn't about places—it's about connections. Cette fois, la population qui vient dans la forêt de Glenn est complètement au-delà des attentes, c'est absolument une surprise pour cette piste! La santé est particulièrement tranquille, la chambre est réconfortée et incolore, les toilettes et les toilettes sont bien placés et il semble que la chaussure soit très utile. La principale chose est que le prix est vraiment pratique. Ce prix peut vivre dans une chambre aussi propre, service et intime dans le paysage, et le rapport coût-prix est plein directement. La position est également pratique, pas loin de Qinglong, le pont de cinq yeux, vous pourrez aller à la porte de marche quelques minutes. La prochaine fois que vous revenez à Gylan, vous devez rester ici, vraiment recommandé à vos amis!

Meilleur séjour au village de Wujiang. L'hôtel offre un balcon avec vue imprenable sur le spectacle nocturne de drones et de feux d'artifice 😍 Idéalement situé au cœur du village, il permet de l'explorer facilement. De charmants salons de thé et un embarcadère se trouvent à proximité. L'hôtel est impeccable et d'une propreté irréprochable. La décoration de la chambre est magnifique 😭😍 et le réceptionniste a été très serviable avec mes bagages. 🧳⚠️ : Si vous voyagez à l'étranger comme moi, laissez votre sac lourd à la réception du centre d'information touristique. L'endroit comporte de nombreux escaliers, vous ne voulez pas surcharger le personnel 🤲. Emportez simplement un petit sac avec tout le nécessaire pour une nuit ✨.

Le personnel était super amical, la situation est étonnante et la chambre était très propre et bien entretenue. Le service était excellent et très rapide. Lorsque nous avons eu des problèmes avec notre chauffage, le personnel a immédiatement contacté le technicien pour résoudre le problème. Nous avons la chambre de haut niveau, car nous sommes une famille de 4, dont 2 enfants, et nous aimons la chambre, car elle est spacieuse avec une vue sur l'ensemble du village. Il recommandera certainement à tout le monde de rester ici pour la grande location et le service de haut niveau.

Installations : Décoration moderne et raffinée ; le grand lit rond a rendu le séjour très confortable. Propreté : Impeccable. Ambiance : L'atmosphère intime de la chambre, avec son grand lit rond, donnait l'impression de pénétrer dans un monde féerique. Service : Le personnel de l'hôtel était très attentionné et toujours disponible pour aider avec les bagages, apporter du café et intervenir en cas d'urgence. Les costumes, notamment les vêtements ethniques Miao, les couronnes et les colliers en argent, étaient magnifiques. Les photos prises sur le balcon étaient particulièrement réussies. La chambre était climatisée, ce qui a permis de prendre des photos estivales au frais. Enfin, et surtout, le balcon offrait une vue imprenable, idéale pour prendre des photos et admirer le paysage.
