Nous avons passé sans aucun doute le meilleur des séjours. L'hôtel Grand Wyndham est très confortable avec notamment un petit-déjeuner de l'ordre de l'exceptionnel. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une literie de qualité. L'équipe est jeune et très dynamique accordant les meilleurs conseils qui soient afin de se rendre dans un coin de la ville ou dans des régions plus reculées. Plusieurs restaurants de grande qualité sont dans les alentours, aussi la station de métro propre est facile d'usage. Le quartier est un peu ”spécial”. Il ne faudrait pas faire n'importe quoi en sortant tard la nuit dans certaines rues limitrophes où l'on retrouve les problèmes communs aux grandes villes d'ici ou d'ailleurs. Ce que je retiens surtout, c'est la gentillesse de l'équipe, particulièrement Christina, Maria, Dorian, Elisabeth, etc. Je ne me souviens pas avoir ressenti autant de bonté durant mes autres séjours. Ils sont tous très professionnels. Je recommande chaleureusement cet hôtel pour un séjour sur Athènes. Dans l'ensemble, vous êtes à 30 minutes à pied de l'ensemble des lieux à découvrir comme les musées ou l'Acropole - moins de 15 en métro. Prix raisonnable.

Booked two rooms for a three day stay and both rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom in my room was smaller than my daughters but for me it was fine. Small bath but I managed to use it. The staff are great and breakfast was a good start to the day ahead. Nice coffee. Our flight back to the uk was cancelled due to air traffic control going on strike and the hotel let us stay another night without any fuss even letting us stay in the same rooms. All in all I have no regrets booking this hotel and for the price it’s a great choice. Reception booked our taxi to the airport and it was a fixed price of 40 euros.

A proximité du métro, il y a un parc, silencieux, la chambre est assez grande. Il y a 3 routes de stations à partir de la place constitutionnelle, le service est chaleureusement attentif, pas de petit déjeuner de l'hôtel, la qualité n'est pas claire, la prochaine fois, vous envisagerez de vivre.

This Hotel was very modern and nicely designed. We had the room with a King bed and it was super comfortable. The room was also a nice size to fit our luggage. There is a safe in the room also and a mini fridge. The bathroom was completely updated, but the one thing I didn't care for was the all in one shower/bathroom. And the bathroom had a funky smell. The staff is most worthy of mention. Everyone was SOOO very helpful and nice and the lobby had a wonderful smell when you walked in. I would definitely stay here again!

Hôtel devenu notre hôtel de prédilection à Athènes, a été récemment rénové. Chambre triple pour un couple avec enfant spacieuse et propre avec une belle salle de bain et un WC séparé. Les grands plus : frigo avec mini-bar, table et fer à repasser pendus dans le placard (original), le toit terrasse panoramique (Roof top) avec vue à 360 degrés sur Athènes et l’acropole pour prendre le petit déjeuner ou le soir pour admirer Athènes by night (juste fantastique). Accueil excellent : personnel à notre écoute, le manager Haris très sympathique parle français. Idéalement situé à 5 minutes du quartier de la Plaka, juste à côté du quartier bouillonnant et branché de Psiri (à découvrir le soir) et à 15/20 minutes de l’Acropole. Nous le recommandons vivement.

Dans les dédales de rues p****mées de maisons en ruine, parfois de belles boutiques, se trouve l'hôtel ALKIMA . Très propre, beau design , et surtout un accueil parfait , nous remercions particulièrement IRINI , HELENA , et ILLIKA .Chambre très moderne , literie king size très confortable . Petit déjeuner excellent : vrais jus d'orange, charcuterie, croissants , petits pains etc..Terrasse sur le toît avec jacuzzi qui n'est pas chauffé !!! fin octobre eau à 18° ,en fait petite piscine avec bain bouillannant . Chambre n° 5 climatisation déficiente , et bruit de l'ascenseur ( la nuit dur dur ) . .Vue sur un immeuble en ruine, et une petite décharge à côté .Pour la tranquillité vous repasserez : marteau piqueur sur le chantier voisin en guise de réveil matin .! Par contre emplacement idéal pour visiter ATHENES à pied , de nombreux restaurants à des prix très abordables dans le quartier . Merci au manager THEODOR pour son écoute et sa compréhension . Malgré ces désagréments cet établissement offre des prestations hôtelières de qualité .

What a wonderful hotel and how happy we were to find it reviewed in the February KLM inflight magazine (Holland Herald). The reception staff were very friendly and professional, the loft with terrace room was spacious and immaculately clean, the bed was perfect and the rainwater shower was complete with Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin products. My favourite! We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful 5 nights.

Wonderful hotel in the centre of Athens, close to all the action. Less than 5 mins walk to an area with lots of restaurants and a lively, almost mediterranean-holiday-resort feel, buzz to it. Also well situated for the main sites in Athens. Free continental breakfast, along with coffees, capuccinos and some fruit juice provided every morning comprising a variety of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, croissants, danish pastries, as well as some scrambled eggs, cooked mushrooms and toast for those who prefer something warmer. It's not a full english breakfast, but it is more than sufficient. Served and provided by a delightful french lady who home makes the apricot jam to accompany the breads. All the staff, and I do mean ALL the staff, we interacted were super helpful and friendly. It's got a great rooftoop bar with really good views of the acropolis. It was a bit lively on Friday & Saturday night (we had stayed from the Friday until the Monday), with some noise transference, but that didn't bother us as we were also out late ourselves. And on the one night we got in a bit earlier I just put some ear plugs in and it didn't disturb me. The surrounding area was a bit scruffy, with lots of graffiti everywhere, but thst seems common to a lot of Athens. Having travelled a fair bit in the US, I can see why at first it might alarm American visitors (as can be seen in a lot of the other visitor comments), who might think the area sketchy, but we were a group of old friends on our annual reunion, all sadly much nearer to 60 than 50 and we never felt bothered, worried or intimidated in the slightest. Even when wandering back after midnight. Like any city, there will be some areas best avoided (and I was told by a Greek friend to avoid the municipal market area late at night), but, aside from adopting the usual level of caution and sense when in a big city you didn't need to go there from this hotel to get to the restaurant area. Probably, the best comment I can give is that, ironically, I came back to Athens a week later with my wife, prior to going on a cruise. My wife and I had already pre-booked our hotel for that stay, in a supposedly better area and paid £50 extra a night for the priviledge. The Apollo was better, as ws its surrounding area! I have already recommended this hotel to other members of my family and would stay here again if I ever come back to Athens.

What a wonderful hotel and how happy we were to find it reviewed in the February KLM inflight magazine (Holland Herald).
