Wow, what can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing from the service from the Geo with a warm welcome and our luggage taken away from us at the door to the personalised service that we received at check-in. Walking in the rooms are simply amazing being so elegantly furnished and so clean and spacious. The bathroom had all the amenities you could even imagine and you could easily get stuff and order through the iPad. Their indoor pool and Jim is simply amazing and includes a spa with massage function and there’s also a specialty shower room and sauna room. The breakfast buffet was also a very high standard and you can order à la carte items which were very delicious. There was also a lounge room which is similar to an executive lounge open to all hotel gas and (Office) complimentary tea and alcohol drinks too. I’m definitely return to stay at this hotel and it is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, Capella Sydney.

Auberge anonyme. Si vous débutez votre voyage en backpacking à Sydney, je vous recommande vivement de chercher une auberge plus conviviale, où les gens sont plus sociables. Les couettes ne sont pas fraîchement faites, ce que je trouve assez écœurant. À savoir : pas de serviette. On vous attribue une chambre, mais pas de lit. Je déconseille de réserver un dortoir de 5 lits, car il n'y en a qu'un seul, ce qui manque cruellement d'intimité. Si les autres lits de la chambre sont occupés, vous devrez utiliser celui-ci ou demander une autre chambre à la réception. Vous aurez besoin de votre propre cadenas pour les casiers.

I had a great stay at Hey Wake Up Sydney Hostel. The location is super convenient—close to public transport, shops, and many attractions in the city, which made exploring Sydney really easy. The hostel itself has a very friendly and social atmosphere. It’s perfect if you want to meet new people, especially as a solo traveler. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. The rooms and common areas were clean and well-maintained. I also liked the shared spaces—they’re comfortable and great for relaxing or chatting with other guests. Overall, it’s a budget-friendly place with good vibes, a great location, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again!

L'hôtel était bien. Il a fière allure et est parfait pour Instagram, mais en termes de fonctionnalités ? Je veux dire… pas si sûr. 12 $ pour une grande bouteille d'eau ? Tu plaisantes. Quelqu'un passe devant votre chambre ? Vous pouvez entendre chaque mot qu'ils disent. Les robinets dans la douche ? L’un s’allume dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre et l’autre dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre. Donc, si vous souhaitez modifier la température au milieu d’une douche, vous devez tout éteindre et recommencer. Si vous avez une vue sur la ville, vous regardez l’autoroute Eastern Distributor et le bâtiment de la banque du Commonwealth. La vue est au mieux ordinaire. Uber Eats est difficile à commander car l'hôtel ne semble techniquement pas exister sur les cartes donc personne ne sait où il se trouve. Ensuite, pour obtenir un Uber même à 7 heures du matin, il m'a fallu quinze minutes pour que n'importe quel chauffeur accepte car le positionnement de l'hôtel est bizarre et pas du tout facile d'accès. Les lumières sont difficiles à utiliser et j’ai trouvé cela très surprenant pour un hôtel flambant neuf. Ensuite, il y a des prises de port USB, trois dans la pièce, mais pas de prise de type C ? La piscine ferme à 18h mdr. Comme c’est ridicule. Les flacons à pompe pour le shampoing et le revitalisant ne fonctionnaient pas dans la salle de bain. J'ai dû les dévisser et les laver sur ma main. Contre-productif et gaspillage. Alors oui, si vous voulez prendre des photos, c'est plutôt bien, mais sinon il y a de bien meilleurs endroits où séjourner.

Overall, my stay was fine, but the management was very disappointing. My check-out time was supposed to be 11am, yet the housekeeper started knocking on my door at 8am and even asked me what time I was checking out — shouldn’t staff already know this information? Later, I left my luggage in my room at 9am to have breakfast in the hotel. When I returned at 10am, my room card no longer worked. The front desk staff told me my card had been dropped into the check-out box, which was confusing since I was traveling alone — who did that? To make matters worse, when I finally got back into my room, all of my luggage was gone. The housekeeper said it had been sent to the front desk without my consent. This was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional, and I hope management takes steps to improve communication and respect guests’ check-out times

Ils fournissent même la poudre de lavage et la poudre de lave-vaisselle. La télévision intelligente était aussi grande, les lits étaient confortables. Le service était super amical et utile aussi. Ils ont même un studio Pilates et un gym dans cet hôtel. nous avions Le meilleur séjour dans cette spacieuse chambre et nous serons certainement de retour si nous revisions l'Australie !

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est très bon, très proche de la station de métro musée. Les commerces environnants sont développés et il y a toutes sortes de nourriture, notamment de la nourriture chinoise. La chambre est propre et bien rangée, et le service est bon ! Il est très pratique de se déplacer. Vous pouvez prendre le tramway ou le ferry autour du port pour profiter de la brise marine et profiter du magnifique paysage, mais n'oubliez pas de porter de la crème solaire !

Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement. However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in. Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for. To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options. Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels. That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day. Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent. Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past. Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions. The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much. Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives. If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!
