Initialement, je n'avais prévu de rester que trois jours à Changsha, mais j'ai finalement séjourné dans cet hôtel historique et je n'avais plus envie de partir. Dès que j'ai franchi la porte, j'ai été conquise par l'atmosphère. Le hall et les chambres mêlaient charme d'antan et modernité, créant une ambiance à la fois épurée et confortable qui évoquait une autre époque – c'était vraiment merveilleux ! Le personnel était incroyablement accueillant et attentionné. Je me souviens d'une fois où nous avons pris un taxi et le chauffeur a disparu. La réceptionniste, Manman, nous a aidés à le contacter grâce à son téléphone. Pressés par le froid, elle a bravé les intempéries en vêtements légers et nous a accompagnés dans une rue pour retrouver notre taxi – elle s'est vraiment mise en quatre ! L'hôtel était également très prévenant : le petit-déjeuner nous était servi en chambre et le personnel avait la gentillesse de nous apporter plein de nos en-cas préférés. Juste après le petit-déjeuner, un délicieux thé nous a été servi et, le soir, il y avait même une bouillie de champignons blancs. On n'a jamais faim dans cet hôtel ! En bref, ce fut un séjour très agréable. Un grand merci à tout le personnel ! Je reviendrai certainement ici lors de mon prochain séjour à Changsha.

La chambre était très propre, le service excellent et ils m'ont même appelée à l'avance pour me demander mes préférences pour la chambre.

Hôtel réservé par hasard, l'expérience a largement dépassé mes attentes. L'emplacement est excellent, avec des transports en commun et des restaurants juste en bas de l'hôtel, donc pas de souci pour se déplacer ou trouver de quoi manger. La chambre était nettoyée méticuleusement, même les rebords de fenêtre et les coins de la salle de bain étaient impeccables. Le matelas avait une fermeté idéale, et l'insonorisation était très bonne, donc la nuit était très calme. Le personnel de la réception était chaleureux, l'enregistrement rapide, les installations étaient neuves et complètes, l'eau chaude était stable et le prix abordable. C'est parfait pour un court séjour ou une escale improvisée.

Very nice hotel with young but very helpful staff. The location is great, and easy to be picked up from. Everything went smooth and they communicated well! The room had a great view and was clean. The only downside was the AI in the room dat would go crazy at times and turn tings on and off.

L'environnement est calme, vous pouvez voir le paysage lorsque vous ouvrez la fenêtre et l'expérience de vie est confortable et agréable. Hautement recommandé !

Nous avons réservé la chambre familiale avec deux lits, ce qui était parfait pour notre famille de quatre. Le personnel de l'hôtel était chaleureux et attentionné, et ils ont même offert aux enfants un sac de bienvenue avec des friandises. Le hall d'entrée propose des fruits, des bonbons et des biscuits toute la journée. Le plus appréciable est que le petit-déjeuner est servi jusqu'à 11h et qu'il est très varié. La station de métro est juste en bas de l'hôtel, ce qui est très pratique pour se déplacer. Un jour de pluie, nous n'avons pas pu sortir dîner, alors nous avons commandé à emporter. Tous les restaurants célèbres des environs livrent, ce qui nous a évité de faire la queue, très pratique !

The majority of Changsha's attractions are located near Wuyi Square. It is prudent to book a hotel near this focus area. I booked this motel as it is a reputable hotel chain. It is located right beside Taiping Street, an old shopping alley since ancient times. The chain motel is now named Magnolio Hotel (Wuyi Square Branch). Changsha was my last destination of my 10-day Hunan trip. I did not follow any travel agency and explore based on my research. When we arrived at Changsha from Fenghuang Ancient Town, I was shocked by the hot weather of 38 degrees. We were drenched with sweat and felt much better when in the cold air-conditioned lobby of the hotel. The fusion tea drinks at the lobby quenched much of our thirst. The location of this hotel is superb. It is only 150 m from Exit 1 of Wuyi Square metro station. Seniors above 65 years old, including foreigners, enjoy free metro travel in Changsha. We just showed our passports and there is no second question asked, and the staff will open the gate for you to access the station. Thus, travelling to the airport via metro is also free. Wuyi Square is Line 2 station. From Wuyi Square, you can change to Line 6 at Yinbing Station and take the Line 6 train directly to Terminal 1 & 2 of Huanghua International Airport and free. The metro station also provided shelter from the heat, and I explored Huangxin Pedestrian Street and IFC mall via the metro exits. The hotel receptionist informed me that they had upgraded my room to a bigger one for free. The toilet facilities and room are well renovated and clean though the room is still quite small. I stayed for 2 nights over here, and both me and my wife had wonderful sleep. There were also plenty of eateries and restaurants at the vicinity. Walmart is just 400 m away. For travel to attractions, Orange Island is only just two stations away at 橘子洲 station along Line 2, and for Mount Yuelu, it is only one station away at 溁 湾 镇 站 from 橘子洲 station For location, cleanliness, and staff responsiveness, I will give this hotel 10 points upon 10. This hotel really redefines what high quality service at luxury hotels should be - personable, friendly, attentive, and professional. The staff are eager to be helpful, are extremely communicative and responsive via WeChat, and cater to your every needs. My impression before I arrived was already a positive one because they helped me arrange two packages to be sent in advance to the hotel. They even let me use their contact details as the contact number to make the order as I did not have a local phone number. Upon arrival, the packages were waiting for us and housekeeping took away the leftover packaging. They also offer a free laundry service and I cannot emphasise how soft and nice smelling our clothes were when we received our freshly laundered clothes. The bathroom amenities are the luxury brand Le Labo and the water provided is the mineral water brand Evian. Of course they also have Dyson hair dryers. The daily breakfasts are truly decadent with abalone on our first morning and Angus sirloin on our second morning. We can order seconds of any of the dishes we liked. Fruit juices are freshly made. The barista even made takeaway drinks for us to enjoy on our outings. Afternoon tea and evening soups are also provided and guests can choose what time they would like it to be served and where (for example, hotel room or hotel lounge). They even prepared cold milk for us to soothe us after we returned from dinner eating some local spicy Changsha chicken. Truly outstanding service! One of the things that sets this hotel apart from any other we have stayed at are the afternoon activities they offer to their guests. On our second day we enjoyed a Cloisonné enamel class in the hotel and we will certainly be displaying the fruits of our hard work in our home when we return home. All the materials were provided to us and one of the lovely staff provided instructions and was extremely patient with us despite the language barrier. Such unique experiences on offer each day really make the stay so enjoyable for guests. I can understand why this hotel was won so many accolades. The staff really have earnt this award. It is thanks to their dedication that this hotel has earnt such a prestigious reputation. It is genuinely worth every penny! I am not sure when we will return to Changsha but it is exciting to know that the hotel does have another branch in Chengdu which we will be keen to visit, perhaps next year. All I can say is that I will always have fond memories of this hotel and particularly its staff and this hotel has certainly set the bar high for outstanding service.
