If you plan to continue your journey via high-speed train, I recommend packing a small overnight bag for your stay and leaving your large luggage in a station locker. This will make your trip from the station to the hotel much easier and faster. The room is new, clean, and fully equipped with amenities. The staff were enthusiastic and welcoming.

From the moment I arrived, the architectural charm stood out: sleek, modern white buildings nestled against a lush forest backdrop, with rustic stone retaining walls adding a warm, earthy contrast. The interiors are just as thoughtfully designed—cozy lounge areas feature a crackling wood-burning stove that invites you to kick back and unwind (I spent hours with my feet up by the fire, sipping tea, and forgetting the outside world). The outdoor spaces are equally delightful: sun-dappled patios with soft flooring, where my spaniel wandered by (a sweet, unexpected touch!), and gravel paths that lead to sweeping views of the wooded hills. Every corner feels intentional, balancing minimalist design with the raw beauty of the surrounding nature. What truly makes this place special is the tranquility. It’s quiet enough to hear the rustle of leaves and birdsong, yet the amenities are comfortable and well-appointed—no roughing it here. The staff (though I didn’t interact much, thanks to the seclusion) seemed attentive, and the little touches (like the firewood stacked neatly by the stove) made the stay feel personal and cared for. If I had to nitpick, it’s that the remote location means you’ll need a car to explore nearby spots—but that’s part of the appeal for a true escape. Rating: 5/5 This hotel isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a chance to slow down, breathe, and soak in nature’s beauty. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The majority of Changsha's attractions are located near Wuyi Square. It is prudent to book a hotel near this focus area. I booked this motel as it is a reputable hotel chain. It is located right beside Taiping Street, an old shopping alley since ancient times. The chain motel is now named Magnolio Hotel (Wuyi Square Branch). Changsha was my last destination of my 10-day Hunan trip. I did not follow any travel agency and explore based on my research. When we arrived at Changsha from Fenghuang Ancient Town, I was shocked by the hot weather of 38 degrees. We were drenched with sweat and felt much better when in the cold air-conditioned lobby of the hotel. The fusion tea drinks at the lobby quenched much of our thirst. The location of this hotel is superb. It is only 150 m from Exit 1 of Wuyi Square metro station. Seniors above 65 years old, including foreigners, enjoy free metro travel in Changsha. We just showed our passports and there is no second question asked, and the staff will open the gate for you to access the station. Thus, travelling to the airport via metro is also free. Wuyi Square is Line 2 station. From Wuyi Square, you can change to Line 6 at Yinbing Station and take the Line 6 train directly to Terminal 1 & 2 of Huanghua International Airport and free. The metro station also provided shelter from the heat, and I explored Huangxin Pedestrian Street and IFC mall via the metro exits. The hotel receptionist informed me that they had upgraded my room to a bigger one for free. The toilet facilities and room are well renovated and clean though the room is still quite small. I stayed for 2 nights over here, and both me and my wife had wonderful sleep. There were also plenty of eateries and restaurants at the vicinity. Walmart is just 400 m away. For travel to attractions, Orange Island is only just two stations away at 橘子洲 station along Line 2, and for Mount Yuelu, it is only one station away at 溁 湾 镇 站 from 橘子洲 station For location, cleanliness, and staff responsiveness, I will give this hotel 10 points upon 10. Ce séjour à domicile est très difficile à trouver, surtout pour les voyageurs internationaux qui ne connaissent pas la région. Il n'était pas clair où se rendre au départ, et nous devions demander au bureau d'information du bâtiment d'aider à contacter le propriétaire avant d'avoir accès à la chambre. La chambre elle-même est spacieuse avec beaucoup d'espace. Il y avait un peu de cigarettes, qui est commun dans certains endroits en Chine, mais l'accent est la belle vue sur la rivière. C'était notre dernière nuit en Chine avant de rentrer chez nous, et de rester ici devint une très bonne mémoire. A pied, il y a un parc proche où vous pouvez vous promener et regarder les personnes âgées effectuant leurs activités quotidiennes, ce qui se sent très authentique et agréable. La location est confortable, proche d'une gare et facile à atteindre l'île d'Orange. Un bon choix pour les voyageurs qui apprécient les vues et l'atmosphère, et ne vous ennuyez pas un peu de malaise lors de l'enregistrement.

C'est la première fois que je séjourne dans un B&B aussi bien ! La chambre est très propre. Toute la maison sent bon. Les fenêtres sont ouvertes pour aérer. Il y a aussi un spray désinfectant sur la table. C'est pratique de descendre et de sortir. Il n'y a pas de bruit la nuit. Il y a le chauffage dans la chambre. Je me suis bien reposé. La chambre est assez grande, propre et sent bon. Hahahaha. C'est génial !

J'y ai passé 3 nuits, la chambre a été rénovée de façon moderne et confortable. Il y a eu un problème avec le nettoyeur de chambre, la responsable de la réception (je pense que oui) a été invitée à le régler avec une oreille attentive. Comprendre nos préoccupations et prendre des mesures de rectification rapidement. Le petit-déjeuner est bon malgré le fait qu'il s'agisse d'une chaîne d'hôtels locale. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un séjour agréable, à proximité de la station de métro et d'un emplacement central.

They initially collected only 1 night payment when i have booked for 5 night, not sure why. I later on faced some issues with payment as they then asked for payment & i only have international card it took a really long time to resolve it. Overall, it is still ok & the room was quite comfortable. I really liked the location as it’s very convenient.

La chambre est propre et bien rangée, et les installations sont toutes neuves. On y trouve un petit réfrigérateur, un lave-linge et un projecteur haute définition. Il y a aussi une baignoire, particulièrement appréciée des enfants. L'emplacement est très pratique. Les rues Pozi et Taiping sont en bas. Guojin est à 5 minutes à pied. Après le dîner, vous pourrez également vous promener au bord de la rivière. Deux restaurants réputés pour leurs bonnes adresses sur Internet se trouvent en bas. Il y a aussi un grand centre commercial où vous pourrez déguster la viande frite au piment du chef Fei, le Cha Yan Yue Se et le tofu noir classique. En bref, c'est un excellent choix pour un voyage en famille. Je reviendrai ici lors de mon prochain séjour à Changsha.

Il est nécessaire de contacter la personne à l'avance (nous préférons discuter par chat) pour obtenir le code d'accès. Il s'agit d'une chambre d'hôtes. L'emplacement est fantastique et j'ai adoré l'agencement avec 4 chambres ! Un endroit très agréable avec une salle de bain et une salle d'eau. Il y avait quelques petits problèmes, comme la porte d'une salle de bain qui était difficile à ouvrir (porte coulissante sans poignée, nécessitant peut-être de l'huile ou de meilleures roulettes ?). Si cela ne vous dérange pas, vous serez enchanté(e) par votre séjour. Si vous êtes très grand(e), la hauteur sous plafond au-dessus et en dessous de la mezzanine peut être inconfortable, mais cela ne m'a pas gêné(e). Belle vue depuis les fenêtres. Notre chambre était au 11e étage.
