Great hotel, they upgraded us to a bigger room and accommodated our needs very well. The location is amazing, close to all the attractions but not too busy with traffic getting a Didi. The staff were super friendly and helpful with any questions and extended our checkout to 2pm. Highly recommended and would stay here again when we are back!

This hotel really redefines what high quality service at luxury hotels should be - personable, friendly, attentive, and professional. The staff are eager to be helpful, are extremely communicative and responsive via WeChat, and cater to your every needs. My impression before I arrived was already a positive one because they helped me arrange two packages to be sent in advance to the hotel. They even let me use their contact details as the contact number to make the order as I did not have a local phone number. Upon arrival, the packages were waiting for us and housekeeping took away the leftover packaging. They also offer a free laundry service and I cannot emphasise how soft and nice smelling our clothes were when we received our freshly laundered clothes. The bathroom amenities are the luxury brand Le Labo and the water provided is the mineral water brand Evian. Of course they also have Dyson hair dryers. The daily breakfasts are truly decadent with abalone on our first morning and Angus sirloin on our second morning. We can order seconds of any of the dishes we liked. Fruit juices are freshly made. The barista even made takeaway drinks for us to enjoy on our outings. Afternoon tea and evening soups are also provided and guests can choose what time they would like it to be served and where (for example, hotel room or hotel lounge). They even prepared cold milk for us to soothe us after we returned from dinner eating some local spicy Changsha chicken. Truly outstanding service! One of the things that sets this hotel apart from any other we have stayed at are the afternoon activities they offer to their guests. On our second day we enjoyed a Cloisonné enamel class in the hotel and we will certainly be displaying the fruits of our hard work in our home when we return home. All the materials were provided to us and one of the lovely staff provided instructions and was extremely patient with us despite the language barrier. Such unique experiences on offer each day really make the stay so enjoyable for guests. I can understand why this hotel was won so many accolades. The staff really have earnt this award. It is thanks to their dedication that this hotel has earnt such a prestigious reputation. It is genuinely worth every penny! I am not sure when we will return to Changsha but it is exciting to know that the hotel does have another branch in Chengdu which we will be keen to visit, perhaps next year. All I can say is that I will always have fond memories of this hotel and particularly its staff and this hotel has certainly set the bar high for outstanding service.

Initialement, je n'avais prévu de rester que trois jours à Changsha, mais j'ai finalement séjourné dans cet hôtel historique et je n'avais plus envie de partir. Dès que j'ai franchi la porte, j'ai été conquise par l'atmosphère. Le hall et les chambres mêlaient charme d'antan et modernité, créant une ambiance à la fois épurée et confortable qui évoquait une autre époque – c'était vraiment merveilleux ! Le personnel était incroyablement accueillant et attentionné. Je me souviens d'une fois où nous avons pris un taxi et le chauffeur a disparu. La réceptionniste, Manman, nous a aidés à le contacter grâce à son téléphone. Pressés par le froid, elle a bravé les intempéries en vêtements légers et nous a accompagnés dans une rue pour retrouver notre taxi – elle s'est vraiment mise en quatre ! L'hôtel était également très prévenant : le petit-déjeuner nous était servi en chambre et le personnel avait la gentillesse de nous apporter plein de nos en-cas préférés. Juste après le petit-déjeuner, un délicieux thé nous a été servi et, le soir, il y avait même une bouillie de champignons blancs. On n'a jamais faim dans cet hôtel ! En bref, ce fut un séjour très agréable. Un grand merci à tout le personnel ! Je reviendrai certainement ici lors de mon prochain séjour à Changsha.

Hôtel réservé par hasard, l'expérience a largement dépassé mes attentes. L'emplacement est excellent, avec des transports en commun et des restaurants juste en bas de l'hôtel, donc pas de souci pour se déplacer ou trouver de quoi manger. La chambre était nettoyée méticuleusement, même les rebords de fenêtre et les coins de la salle de bain étaient impeccables. Le matelas avait une fermeté idéale, et l'insonorisation était très bonne, donc la nuit était très calme. Le personnel de la réception était chaleureux, l'enregistrement rapide, les installations étaient neuves et complètes, l'eau chaude était stable et le prix abordable. C'est parfait pour un court séjour ou une escale improvisée.

Après avoir séjourné trois nuits, l'hôtel est très calme et le service est très bon. Je voudrais tout particulièrement féliciter le personnel de la tante et du lave-linge du restaurant. J'ai vu le personnel masculin travailler dans le lave-linge hier soir à plus de onze heures. Le matin, il est apparu dans le restaurant, et les mouvements sont très respectables. La marche peut être effectuée à la porte de Shandong, sur la route de câble, la métro-oute de Shandong et le retour à l'hôtel, toutes sont très pratique.

Very nice hotel with young but very helpful staff. The location is great, and easy to be picked up from. Everything went smooth and they communicated well! The room had a great view and was clean. The only downside was the AI in the room dat would go crazy at times and turn tings on and off.

En gros, c'est OK. J'y ai séjourné six nuits consécutives, mais le deuxième jour, le ménage a été tardif. J'ai attendu dans le hall de l'hôtel pendant près de trois heures et je suis montée trois fois pour vérifier. Le ménage n'a pas été terminé avant presque six heures du soir ! Un autre problème est le petit-déjeuner. Aucun petit-déjeuner n'est fourni pendant la Fête du Printemps, seulement des repas simples (pain, lait, bananes ou pommes). J'ai payé pour le petit-déjeuner, mais les repas simples fournis ne sont pas à la hauteur de ce que j'ai payé. Bien que je puisse le rembourser sur la plateforme, je vais simplement l'oublier pour éviter les ennuis ! Le personnel de la réception n'est pas très aimable. Par rapport à celui de Chongqing, je préfère celui de Chongqing. Le personnel de Chongqing est aimable et poli, le service est très bon, même la tante de ménage est très polie et nettoie très rapidement ! Il y a une autre question. Cette marque a de nombreux magasins à Changsha. Il y a une autre succursale juste en face de celle où j'habite, mais celle-ci a un S en trop, donc beaucoup de gens se trompent de succursale. Cette marque a FunGee, FunGee S et FunGee X. S'ils changent les noms des magasins et qu'ils sont si proches les uns des autres, ce serait plus clair s'ils les divisaient en 1, 2, 3... magasins !

Nous avons réservé la chambre familiale avec deux lits, ce qui était parfait pour notre famille de quatre. Le personnel de l'hôtel était chaleureux et attentionné, et ils ont même offert aux enfants un sac de bienvenue avec des friandises. Le hall d'entrée propose des fruits, des bonbons et des biscuits toute la journée. Le plus appréciable est que le petit-déjeuner est servi jusqu'à 11h et qu'il est très varié. La station de métro est juste en bas de l'hôtel, ce qui est très pratique pour se déplacer. Un jour de pluie, nous n'avons pas pu sortir dîner, alors nous avons commandé à emporter. Tous les restaurants célèbres des environs livrent, ce qui nous a évité de faire la queue, très pratique !

I got Ctrip.com service centre at Changsha Huanghua Airport to advise me how to contact Sycamore Tree Hotel to pick me up and I managed to contact Sycamore Tree Hotel Uncle Liu to pick me up at column C6. The exit is next to the Ctrip.com service centre of the airport and there are long queues of cars awaiting to pick up guests at the airport. Sycamore Tree Hotel is an hourly-rated hotel that allows guests to stay up to seven hours a day or to the next day. It has a three-hours room stay package for guests who are transitting to another city on the same day but since Trip.com is selling the room based on per day basis, I paid less than $30 to stay until 8 pm on the same day. To kill time, under my request, Uncle Liu chaufferred me to two plane-spotting sites around the Changsha airport for plane photography at a return fee of 150 RMB from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, including Gao'an Village Committee Building and the premises around Hunan General Aviation Building. This fee includes the driver's waiting time. Uncle Liu has very good knowledge on plane-spotting and I recommend plane-spotters to stay in this hotel if their purpose of visiting Changsha is plane-spotting. Uncle Liu quipped that he also can bring guests to Zhangjiajie in Hunan. While the staff of Sycamore Tree Hotel is friendly, I would like to comment that the room allocated to me has no window, no regular-size table for me to write on paper and no chair. It takes a long time for the room to turn cool after switching on the air-conditioner. The toilet-cum-bathroom only has the small bath towel for body wiping purpose. Overall, the room is worse than the single room of Toyoko Inn. Despite the insufficiencies in the room, I recommend this hotel for staff friendliness, airport pick-up/drop-off services and local transport service. For breakfast and other meals, there is the bun shop next door and the noodles restaurant of one minute walk away from the hotel. For recreation, there is the games machine outside the hotel. I will stay at Sycamore Tree Hotel again if there were another opportunity of an onward flight at night from Changsha to another city airport.
