Avis : Ramada By Wyndham Cairns City Centre

The room was spacious and great for relaxing, but the Wi-Fi connection was pretty bad... It felt like there was barely any signal outside the reception area

The Ramada by Wyndham Cairns would be one of if not the worst hotel for cleaning standards  There was hair in the bath tub and on the walls surrounding the bathtub  The bath towels were stained if not properly washed.   Bedding had marks on it and the TV screen was dirty and hard to see a clear picture.   All the louvres in the room were covered in dust.  The toilet flush button got stuck and I had to try and release it so it would flush.   Plumbing was noisey when other rooms were using water.  When reporting to reception on check out  the only response was sorry about that.  Highly not recommended

Team was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, you have the esplanade close by as well as all the touristic thing.  We had a great sleep thanks to their very comfy bed and quiet street, bathroom need some upgrading but you still have all the necessities bathtub and all. The pool was close for renovation but the lagoon at the esplanade is well worth the walk. Would definitely go back :)

Hotel was a bit tired but ok. There was one or two unruly guests that spoilt it.

My bed was comfortable although the rooms and hotel overall is dated

no drinking water in room , breakfast was of very poor quality , the entire property is dated and needs a good clean , cannot recommend this hotel

Very dated rooms. Clean but badly in need of a renovation. Certainly nowhere near the 4 stars advertised. Location is good but I would not stay again. Better value elsewhere

A very old hotel that could do with a full refurbishment. Great location. If you plan to spend time actually in the hotel using facilities etc then pick somewhere else. But if you will be out at the reef all day and just want a place to sleep this ticks the box. There is a pool which is basic and what might have once been a heated jacuzzi is now a fish pond. Seems at one time it wasn't a Ramada but another name and there is mixed branding both in room and around the hotel. Kinda feels like it is what is and nobody really cares much about the building.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first was a much better experience. It seems it all depends on the room. This time we got room 101, on the corner of the building and next to the entrance gate and more importantly, next to a street intersection. It was quite noisy all night as trucks and busses accelerate from the intersection. I asked the desk clerk when we checked in if we could have a different room and he refused, even though other rooms were available. I couldn't quite figure out his reasoning. Anyway, this room also sufferers from a very weak air conditioner and is a little smaller than the last room we got (room 119). Basically, the hotel is fine, but your experience may differ based on the specific room.

This hotel is in a great location—downtown in the small city of Cairns. The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but the property is old and needs major upgrades. It’s a bit overpriced for the quality of the room.

I'm sorry to have to review the resort like this, but we were very disappointed. We thought because of the name it would have been a great place to stay. But sadly it was NOT! The room was dusty, my husband and son had reactions from it and none of us slept that night. There was a cockroach half dead on the bath room floor, the lounge room light flickered and we couldn't use it. The bathroom was showing it's age and wasn't what I would see in any bathroom. Tiles coming away, gapes in the tiling. We called for room service and the reception told us the Restaurant phone wasn't working and they couldn't transfer me. So I asked them to take my order and they told me no and wouldn't be able to give the order to the restaurant because they are not affiliated with them! What the???? The surrounding areas of the building were unkept and felt undown. We will not be staying there again!
