Nous avons passé 3 jours et trois nuits à Folegandros à Vardia Bay Studios. L’hôtel est charmant et à taille familiale. Nous avions un studio doté d’une cuisine, d’une grande chambre, d’une salle de bains et d’une grande terrasse vue sur le port et la baie. Il y a aussi un petit parking. Et la très belle plage de Vardia juste derrière. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et bon. On le prend dehors devant la vue mer. Giorgos est d’une extrême gentillesse. On peut accéder aux restos en quelques minutes à pieds. Une super adresse

We stayed at this hotel in early May for two nights en route between Santorini and Milos. We were attracted by the star rating and the possibility of a rest in our schedule. We had not appreciated that the complex would not be fully open nor that the beginning of the season in Folegandros is much later in May. The Resort has we believe 24 rooms and suites in single and two-storey units around a pool on the edge of Chora Town. It provides free transfers to and from the Port. Were residents wishing to drive to or drive whilst in Folegandros the hotel has private parking. There is a public bus from Chora to the Port. There is a dedicated reception area upon entry into the Resort grounds. We found the staff less than engaging, and whilst pleasant and with good English, a little off-hand. Sadly the first room we were offered had deficient aircon/heating and we had to move to a second room which whilst acceptable was on several levels with two flights of steps which we found intimidating without rails because we are elderly. That said the room was of a good size, with a desk and chair. There were no tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of storage but otherwise was disappointing. It had an over-bath shower on an undersized bath. Even in this replacement room the plug to the wash-hand basin did not function and had to be repaired the next day. Housekeeping was satisfactory as was Wi-Fi. The room – which had an extra bed space provided via a cushioned shelf - was comfortable and (with working aircon/heating) warm. We did not experience any noise from the complex - but it was thinly occupied – and nothing from the nearby road. Whilst we saw no wholesale provision for disabled access we believe that any guests with mobility problems could enjoy the resort but might find Chora Town too steep to navigate in the Kastro area. Breakfast is provided in a dedicated room adjacent to the bar. It also serves as a restaurant but was not providing dinners whilst we were in residence – it provided snacks up until 6pm. The restaurant- when operating - is open to the general public. When we were there the bar closed at 9pm. Because the complex was not fully open there was no pool bar, there was no opportunity for outside eating, and breakfast was a curious process of ticking items required on an individual list. It cannot be described as anything other than OK. We found no evidence of the Spa – nor was it offered. The pool area was large with various swimming areas, sun loungers were plentiful and there were some covered seating. It was too cold for us to use it. We sought dinner in Chora Town and found that - even for vegetarians - whilst there was not much choice of establishment we could get a satisfactory meal. Avantage : Très bonne situation avec accès à la plage en 1mn. Vue imprenable sur une très belle baie, dommage que l'alimentation électrique de l'hôtel gâche un peu la vue des chambres. Personnel un peu froid à l'arrivée mais par la suite plus avenant et professionnel. Petit dejeuner excellent !! Et restauration très bonne. Inconvénients : chambre un peu rustique surtout la douche et WC. Le séjour était très agréable, à recommander en couple et avec des grands enfants ( beaucoup d'escaliers)

Peut-être le meilleur emplacement où séjourner à Folegandros. Les chambres donnent toutes sur la mer. On accède facilement à deux autres plages, par un sentier qui passe devant l'hôtel. Excellent petit déjeuner. Un peu cher en saison mais le logement à Folegandros est plus cher que dans les autres îles. Plusieurs restaurants autour de l'hôtel suffiront à vous satisfaire.

Déçue dans l’ensemble. Cela faisait deux ans que j’avais repéré ce magnifique hôtel lors d’une escale à ios et je suis revenue sur cette île expres pour venir à l’hôtel. J’ai réservé un studio quadruple au style cycladique avec le lit dans une belle alcôve et le matelas sur un mur à la chaux. Photos sublimes. En arrivant on nous upgrade dans un grand studio avec terrasse et lit en mezzanine. Bien mais pas la chambre que j’avais imaginé. D’autant qu’il faisait tres chaud sous la mezzanine. À la limite passons. Le pire a ete de decouvrir des toilettes degueulasses, des cheveux sur la banquette et un miroir avec des traces et des robinetteries pleines de taches. traces marrons egalement dans l´evier de la cuisine et pas de torchon a disposition. la femme de menage est repassé mais nous n´avons pas vraiment eu d´excuses pour ce gros desagrement. 170€ la nuit pour decouvrir une salle bain sale cela refroidit. un effort doit vraiment être fait sur la propreté. a part cela lieu bien placé, batisse superbe. J´ai regretté la musique tres commerciale toute la journée au bord de la piscine. dans un lieu si brut et authentique mais cela depend des gouts de chacun.
