After taking 5 hours Journey on a 40 seater public bus that cost me 100 yuan i arrived at a beautiful homestay run by family, the homestay is the 1st at the entrance of the village. Room is comfortable with huge bed and heated bed and floor, eventhou the bed is just a thin mattress (its call a Kang Bed) but i still can sleep soundly every night. Only things need to change is the toilet because our toilet bowl is right at the center so i cant shower or use the basin (no space to stand)😀 They provide toothbrush and disposable face towel only so you have to bring your own towel and toiletries. Restaurant, reception counter and living room are together, this is a place for the owner and all guests to have meal and gathering. You will see them all day at the living room. We also have some activities such as making tanghulu (fruits coated with syrup), making dumpling and just chit chat eating popcorn and frozen persimmon and pear. Food is so yummy, no need to eat outside because you can order from this homestay. Breakfast is free. Its a simple and healthy- plain porridge, bun and pickles. The northern people are not so much into sugary or fancy drinks, even like tea or coffees. plain hot water is what they had most of the time. Lunch and dinner you can choose from their menu. Few activities you can do in town such as walk around town and enjoy the beautiful scenery like what i did, i also took the sleight horse (200 yuan) to go to the national forest and also stroll along the river for sightseeing. If u want to have ski, snow mobile, tubing there are 2 private own mini park that you can go just by walking distance 5-15 minutes. There is a bigger park Rime Ridge, also known as Wu Song Ling, is a place in Harbin, China where you can see rime and snow scenery, and participate in winter activities this will cost 400 yuan. At night there will be campfire and singing at the village. You can join for free. Go for a walk at night to see lots of villagers selling foods by the road side. I also enjoyed experimenting the ‘boiling water thrown into the sky’ ..beautiful effect from the ice steam. Most important please bring extra cash incase the alipay not working you will still have money. There is no bank or atm machine in the village. Its all solely depending on online payment such as allipay/wechat. I have problem with my alipay payment and I didn’t bring much cash so i cant spend so much at the village. The homestay owner knew about my problem so she worry i dont have enough money to eat so she cook meals for me FREE.. such a nice person. God bless her 🙏🏼 I wish to come again with my family, and i will stay here

We love staying at Snow Village so much and decided to stay there for 4D3N. Chosen Xinfu Inn after long consideration. We are family of 6 with young kids so we prioritize a place where kids can enjoy playing snow to the fullest. The view was so nice. There is frozen river in front of the inn and a hill at the back of the inn with the snow slides made by the host with a nice landscaping. The host really helpful and treated us like their family-guest. Communication before the stay and during the stay was using WeChat and Google translate 😅. They helped to book bus from Harbin-Xuegu (Snow Village), pay direct to them (CN¥80 one way) using Alipay. They have 2 inns. The first room we booked was the new inn which around 800metres from the main inn. The new inn has modern kang bed and toilet but no play area and lawn to play snow, we have decided to move to the main inn and the host and hostess are happy to move us to the main inn. But the room in the main inn more traditional. The kang bed using old fashioned heating method - wood-burning-stove with bricks that retain the heat. It was very hot with just a layer of thick quilts. Feels like a hot sauna when laying on it. So we can't really sleep at night when the heat still ”fresh”, especially at the side of the bed where the wood is burned. If you sleep at the end of the bed it is much better. And for us personally with one layer of quilt the bed is so hard and not comfortable but it is good experience to live like the locals. The kids really love the snow slides built by the host at the back of the inn. Since we are Muslim, we informed the hostess to prepare food that we can eat - rice, eggs and tofu. The hostess all really understanding and always friendly and loves to play with the kids. The host helped took a nice picture of us with firework but we missed to have a picture playing hot water turned ice. The host helped to book a bus to Snow Town on the third day. Departed at 1pm and back to the Snow Village at 8pm. All the charted bus from Harbin or to Snow Town will come pickup at the front of the inn. Really convenient. We did not go to Wusonglin, instead we went to the local play area where we can play anytime anyday with only one time entrace fees. It just besides the new inn and there are skis, snowboard, snow mobile, ice skating and many mores. With kids, it is really recommended. We truly enjoyed staying at Xinfu inn and will come back in future maybe in other seasons to enjoy the view of the river.

Mon ami et moi avons eu le plaisir de séjourner à l'hôtel Grand Mercure à Harbin, et je dois dire que ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle. Dès notre arrivée, j'ai été frappé par l'environnement impeccablement propre et le sentiment de confort qui nous enveloppait. Le haut plafond ajoutait une touche de grandeur à l'ambiance, donnant l'impression d'un hébergement de luxe 5 étoiles, le tout à un prix abordable. Le point culminant de notre séjour a sans aucun doute été le lit confortable et les draps frais. J'ai eu le meilleur sommeil et je me suis réveillé en me sentant reposé, comme si j'avais dormi comme un bébé. L'attention portée aux détails pour assurer une expérience de sommeil confortable était vraiment louable. Le personnel de l'hôtel mérite une mention spéciale pour son service exceptionnel. Malgré certaines barrières linguistiques, ils ont fait tout leur possible pour m'aider avec tout ce dont j'avais besoin et m'ont fourni des informations précises. Je me souviens très bien d'ALAN CHEN ou Chan, même si je ne suis pas sûr de l'orthographe exacte de son nom. Il était toujours attentif à nos préoccupations et à nos questions, prenant le temps de communiquer et de s'assurer que nous recevions les bonnes instructions. Leur dévouement et leur volonté d'aider m'ont fait une impression durable. En termes d'emplacement, l'hôtel était idéalement situé près d'un arrêt de bus, ce qui le rendait facilement accessible depuis l'aéroport, qui est à environ 45 minutes ou moins. Le trajet a pris moins de 10 minutes pour atteindre la gare ferroviaire à grande vitesse depuis l'hôtel. Cependant, je dois mentionner qu'il n'y avait pas beaucoup de magasins pratiques dans les environs immédiats, ce qui pourrait être un inconvénient mineur pour certains voyageurs. Notre seul problème pendant notre séjour était la température de la chambre, qui était assez chaude. Malgré le réglage du thermostat, nous n'avons pas pu obtenir une fraîcheur confortable. Nous avons dû ouvrir légèrement la fenêtre pour laisser entrer un peu d'air frais, mais la laisser ouverte toute la nuit présentait le risque d'attraper un rhume. Il serait très bénéfique que l'hôtel envisage de fournir un humidificateur, car l'air dans la chambre semblait excessivement sec. Dans l'ensemble, mon séjour dans cet hôtel a été vraiment incroyable. La propreté de l'hôtel, le personnel exceptionnel et l'emplacement pratique ont tous contribué à une expérience mémorable. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à toute personne visitant Harbin et je choisirais absolument d'y séjourner à nouveau lors de ma prochaine visite. La direction pourrait peut-être envisager d’améliorer le contrôle de la température de la pièce et de remédier au problème de sécheresse de l’air pour garantir un séjour encore plus agréable aux futurs clients.

Harbin Anshu Family Hotel has only 7 rooms and a family who look after the rooms and guests. Their services are just outstanding. I had a serious problem when i arrived as i had not had time in Beijing, where i was in transit from UK to Harbin, to get a phone SIM Card. Anshu Family Hotel took me to the China Mobile shop in Harbin and stayed with me until i got my card. They flatly refused payment for helping me even though it cost them a lot of time so i got them some grapes as a very small gift to say thankyou for helping me so kindly. The process took nearly two hours due to a complication on my UK phone number settings. However the staff at China Mobile were really good, the Anshu Family were just incredibly patient. They simply would not leave until i was fixed up and able to use my phone. I stayed for just under a week to go to see the major attractions in Harbin, a City with a totally unique identity in China due to its Russian and European Architecture. It is one of the most fascinating cities i have ever visited, Harbin Museum being quite astonishing in its variety and quality of Artifacts. It was the 16th Museum or Museum type building i have visited in China and one of the most enjoyable. This year was Harbins 26th Ice Show, with the Winter Games coming up soon. The Anshu Family Hotel is spot on location for both events, just a $3 taxi ride or Metro for just cents. The hotel has lots of shops, supermarkets, several food roads bristling with many many choices of meal. The Anshu Family make a very low charge for their rooms, in my opinion it could be far higher but they stick at their price. I had not asked for breakfast as i go out early to get to see as much as possible during my day sightseeing. The night before i left i asked them if they would get me a taxi for the morning to get my train. I was to get the taxi at 6.45am. At 5.50 a knock on the door and they came to give me three boiled eggs and a meat stew with noodles. Honestly no Hotel has treated me so kindly. I really recommend grabbing a room with Anshu most especially if you are going to the Ice Show or Winter games. It is a budget Hotel, so be aware of that, but I got a spotless sheet, cover duvet and i was as warm as toast room at night. The water shower is piping hot. Opposite the Hotel road is a huge Govt building as a landmark, i never had any problem finding it. There is a Bank of China two hundred metres from Anshu Family Hotel. Anshu, in my opinion must be one of the top deals on offer from Trip.com.

Vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec Ibis. Celui-ci est bien situé et l’intérieur est assez neuf et agréable. Propre comme toujours, de bons draps et serviettes neufs et de l'eau de source gratuite. Assez bien dormi

I don't know how much I can thank the staff of this hotel for giving me the best treat for my birthday, especially by upgrading my room with a window-view and a bath-tub, thank you so much, because you put me gave me a window-view, I saw snow falling, on the day of my birthday! Everything about the hotel is very commendable for me: location (near Central Street), cleanliness, service, and facilities! Their services are even over the top for giving me snacks for my overnight flight! Thank you so much for the very nice experience on my first visit in Harbin! ^_^

I recently stayed at this business hotel in Harbin for two nights, booking the most economical option - the Comfy Queen room. Going in, I understood this was a basic, no-frills accommodation, and I was prepared for that level of service. However, several significant issues made this stay far more frustrating than it needed to be. The cheapest tier comes without a window, which I had accepted when booking. What the hotel failed to mention anywhere in the listing is that these budget rooms are located on the 8th floor, but the elevator only goes up to the 7th floor. This means every  check  in and out requires climbing a TWO full flight of stairs with your luggage. Had I known this critical detail upfront, I would have either chosen a more expensive room or, more likely, selected a different hotel entirely. This information should be clearly disclosed during booking, as it’s a significant accessibility and convenience issue, especially for travelers with heavy bags or mobility concerns. The most irritating incident occurred on my second night. After spending the day exploring Harbin in freezing temperatures, exhausted and literally frozen solid, I returned to find my room key card had been deactivated. This meant I had to climb down the stairs from the 8th floor, take the elevator down from the 7th floor to reception, wait while staff sorted out their mistake, then reverse the entire journey - elevator up to 7th, stairs up to 8th. This was completely avoidable and purely the result of careless staff work. When you’re already cold and tired, being forced to make this unnecessary journey because of administrative incompetence is genuinely maddening. Adding insult to injury, I discovered after my stay that there are much better hotel options directly at the metro and high-speed rail (HSR) exits. These alternatives offer superior convenience without the stair-climbing requirement as I’ve stayed in some of those chains before.. The location of this hotel doesn’t offer any particular advantages to compensate for its drawbacks, making the choice to stay here even more regrettable. For my next trip to Harbin, I’ll be choosing one of the hotels that are closer to HSR or metro exits. Unless you specifically need to be in this exact location and are booking a higher-tier room with elevator access, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere if the cost difference is not much. There are simply better value options available that won’t leave you climbing stairs multiple times a day or dealing with preventable administrative hassles.
