Excellent experience. Stayed for 4 nights and was bowled over by the attention to detail and the thought applied to every part and aspect of the resort. The quality and flavor of the menu was exceptional. The design of the resort is very contemporary but classic. The owners clearly pay attention to everything. The staff are well trained and clearly recruited carefully. Overall, highly recommended.

hôtel à New, magnifiques villas avec vue incroyable et piscine privée. Colchon, canapé et hameçons très confortables. Excellent service et riche cuisine, la zone est très calme mais il y a une arrêt de taxis en bas et vous serez dans 5 minutes au centre de Sengigi. Le massage dans le spa était excellent. Le moins agréable n'a pas à voir avec l'hôtel, mais qu'il y a une mosquée très active sur la même colline avec des haut-parleurs, non seulement la musique de l'heure de prières est entendue depuis 4h (qui a charme) Mais vous écoutez les prières et chanter pendant des heures et des heures. Il est difficile de reposer et de relaxer**** ainsi.

This was the best stay of our trip on the smaller islands which we used to relax during our 3 weeks Indo. The hospitality of the staff is amazing! Harry and his team did a wonderfull job. The location is outside the busy centre of this small island (+-1 hour by bike to get around) which is a big plus. Great to wake up here and having breakfast at the beach with an amazing view. Then at the end of the day it gets more busy because everyone comes to this part of the island to see the sunset. The cottages are beautiful and have 2 bikes to get around. There is a big swimming pool and since the beach side is full of coral this is welcome. During the day we used the bikes to go to turtle beach and swim and snorkel there. Magical to see the fish and turtles! If you want to have a nice stay, with friendly staff, good food and a magical sunset spot then this it! Would love to come back here!

I very much warn AGAINST booking at this hotel and want to share my experience with Selong Selo on here to spare others the nightmare we experienced: This hotel essentially took our money and made it impossible to get a refund or rebooking. We had booked a stay at Selong Selo for 2020 - unfortunately Indonesia stopped tourism entries due to Covid and we were stuck discussing back and forth with the hotel, about what to do with our reservation. The first thing we realized was that communication with this hotel is extremely slow and difficult, since very single time someone new responded in what I would deem pretty bad English. Since 2020 we have sent countless emails (many left unanswered) and two years later are yet to get a refund or rebooking for our prepaid reservation of 1.500€. In this time Selong Selo staff has given us the hardest time I have ever experienced with any hotel during Covid: They set absurd deadlines for rebookings (essentially asking us to travel when there were no flights to Indonesia), downgraded the villa category we booked and then took days off our booking in case we rebooked. To be honest we don’t really see how we will get our money back and all this feels like a scam through and through. My verdict is this: Should something go wrong, you are stuck with this hotel and will lose your money. There are plenty of professional hotels in Lombok, so steer clear of Selong Selo!

The staff at Kayana were all very polite, courteous and helpful. Each and everyone never fail to greet you when they see you. Service was tip top. Pool has some dust/sand particles and insects sometimes but it’s near a beach so maybe that’s why. Location is near the harbour and has direct access to beach which can also be accessed by the public. Good if you are planning to travel to Gili Islands. However outside the villa there is nothing much, will have to drive to go to nearest restaurant and not easy to get taxi. We had a driver who brought us everywhere. The Blues Restaurant in the villa was sufficient for us - served good food, very affordable too and overlooks beautiful view especially at sunset. The inclusive breakfast was also worth it. Have to mention that the villa is very near a mosque and the calls to prayer starts as early as 5am. We did not mind it at all though. Overall Kayana made our stay in Lombok an amazing one!
