RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

IInvitéThis is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The butler was exceptionally quick to respond, and everything we requested was delivered to our room within minutes. The receptionist 橙子 consistently checked where we were headed and whether transportation was needed, and even reminded us to wear a hat when the UV was strong. Truly thoughtful 👍 I wanted to buy two boxes of flower cakes to bring home, but the shop was quite far from the hotel and I didn’t want to travel that far just for them. Orange took the initiative to bring two boxes back for me from the city. That was incredibly heartwarming 🥹 Even after we checked out, the receptionist 三朵messaged us to make sure we arrived in Shanghai safely 🥹 All these little details show how much they genuinely care about every guest. There was also a skinny gentleman (didn’t get his name) who kindly reminded us to bring extra clothes or a shawl before we headed to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Valley, as the weather could be colder up there. Every night, the butler would check if we needed warm milk or hot chocolate before bed. These small, thoughtful gestures really show how sincere and attentive the staff are. A big thank you to every staff member for the warm hospitality and attentive service that made our stay truly wonderful👏

MmaxemilAmazing. That’s the word that stayed with me after our time at Nguluko/Yuhu. What makes this guesthouse so unique isn’t just the elegant blend of Naxi tradition and modern design—it’s how that blend is alive and creates a very special experience! The owners still live in the original old house, with its untouched courtyard, while the guest rooms are in a beautifully designed, upscale brand new building. That mix of living heritage and quiet, five-star luxury is rare—and deeply touching. And then there’s the view. Looking out across the rooftops of Yuhu village to the majesty of Yulong Xueshan… it’s something I’ll never forget. I can highly recommend this place for anyone who looks for a very special rural experience with top comfort in a most beautiful surroundings.

Ce manque de professionnalisme s'est manifesté par : 1️⃣ des réponses tardives aux messages envoyés au service client ; 2️⃣ un manque de communication proactive concernant les questions relatives à l'hôtel. Le majordome ne nous a explicitement informés qu'à l'avance : départ avant midi, repas à l'hôtel, promenades à cheval, etc. En tant que client, mon expérience a été désagréable. Concernant le point 1️⃣ : le deuxième soir, nous avons constaté que les rideaux automatiques de l'hôtel étaient cassés et impossibles à fermer. La fenêtre donnant sur la route, cela nous a gênés pour nous changer et nous laver. À 21 h 22, nous avons signalé que notre compagnon était épuisé après sa descente du Mont enneigé du Dragon de Jade et souffrait du mal de l'altitude, souhaitant se reposer plus tôt. Le personnel de l'hôtel a vérifié et nous a assuré que la réparation serait effectuée rapidement, mais nous avons attendu plus d'une heure, la réparation n'ayant finalement eu lieu que vers 22h40. Pendant ce temps, nous étions assis sur le canapé du hall, et le personnel concerné nous demandait simplement de patienter encore. Un seul membre du personnel se reposait dans le salon de thé. Nous avons dû demander combien de temps il faudrait avant l'arrivée d'un réparateur et parcourir tout l'hôtel à sa recherche. Pourtant, selon le site officiel de Ctrip, l'hôtel n'était pas complet ce jour-là. N'auraient-ils pas pu faire une exception et modifier l'attribution des chambres ? À ma connaissance, un autre client attendait dans le hall, dans le froid, en raison d'un problème similaire dans sa chambre. Concernant le point 2️⃣ : J'avais réservé le petit-déjeuner pour deux jours via Ctrip, mais le directeur de l'hôtel ne m'avait pas initialement informé des horaires (je ne l'ai appris qu'après avoir posé la question : de 8h30 à 10h00), ni demandé à quelle heure nous souhaitions prendre notre petit-déjeuner ou si nous avions besoin du service en chambre. Tous ces problèmes nécessitent une communication proactive de la part du client. Le deuxième matin, je me suis renseigné sur la disponibilité du petit-déjeuner pendant les heures indiquées, mais le personnel de l'hôtel n'a répondu que près de 20 minutes plus tard (9h58). Je ne sais pas si je pourrai encore prendre le petit-déjeuner à l'hôtel, ni même s'il sera possible d'en obtenir un après l'heure prévue. En tant que client, j'attends un service chaleureux et attentionné, et non pas d'être ignoré. Je ne sais pas comment les hôtels de la même catégorie de prix traitent leurs clients, mais je n'ai pas pu profiter de la plupart des services, ou n'en ai pas été informé de manière proactive : 1️⃣ Par exemple, aucun membre du personnel ne m'a proposé spontanément le service de photographie de voyage ni ne me l'a rappelé. 2️⃣ L'hôtel indique clairement sur Ctrip que la cueillette de fruits est l'un de ses points forts, mais aucun membre du personnel n'en a fait mention de mon arrivée à mon départ. C'est mon avis sincère. Imaginez-vous à la place d'un client ; ne seriez-vous pas déçu d'être traité de la sorte ? Je comprends les problèmes d'hygiène de l'hôtel. L'aménagement paysager est soigné, ce qui explique la présence de nombreux moustiques, et la femme de ménage a contribué à la lutte antiparasitaire. Nous comprenons et respectons le personnel du secteur des services et ne souhaitons pas leur compliquer la tâche. CChoo1234.5 stars. Almost perfect . I wish I could give it 5 stars but have some disappointments and rough around the edges. A unique resort. The places is beautiful and harmony with nature. We stayed 5 days, 4 nights and didn't feel the need to leave the resort at all. Picturesque scenery. You come here to relax, wall and enjoy the fresh air, and take a million photos. Tea break at their stunning cliff side cafe is inclusive. Also singing and drinking after dinner was a warm experience. Food was delicious, although more variety would be appreciated for long stay guests. The pet dogs and cats deserve their own 5 stars! Super friendly and tame - our kids loved playing with them. The staff treated and trained the animals really well. Horses for riding (extra fee) was a great experience. Next time will take lessons. Service was warm and sincere. Always with a smile. The staff was genuine, friendly, polite, helpful. I cannot say enough good things about them. They really tried to give their best to meet our needs. I felt really at home and we were treated very well. The negatives. Things are inconsistent. We had a beautiful skylight to see stars but it was so dirty that we can hardly see through. Cleaning apparently was difficult and couldn't be done, so what's the use ? Our safe was locked by the previous guest and they did not have the ability to reset and open. So we couldn't use it. Our rooms was not cleaned on day 3 and 4. On day 4. they just replenished items. Didn't clean or throw away rubbish. Toilets at the cliffside cafe is terrible state, nobody wash? One dinner, waited for our vegetables for 30 mins. When we asked ”why is it taking long?”, they say ”sorry out of stock'. So had to cancel. Coffee machine had problems , milk tube or valve clogged? could not make milk drinks (e.g cappuccino, latte) during last 2 days. Archery had many broken arrows , less than half can be used. They also offered cup noodles for free! Ask us if we wanted. Very nice gesture, but then they say ”sorry no more cup noodles”. Did not replenish during our trip. Overall an excellent experience, would come again. Could be perfect, but given the price , I would not expect to encounter these negatives mentioned.

TTerveroWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was lovely — cozy, well-maintained, and felt like a perfect little retreat. The mountain views were absolutely stunning, and the evenings were incredibly peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed to unwind. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. They were exceptionally responsive — every request was handled almost instantly. They even arranged a complimentary airport transfer for us, both ways, which was a really generous touch we didn't expect.
