Very nice. The owner is very nice and helpful. He is able to speak English. Moreover, the private Onsen room is really impressive. Hope I can go next time.

It was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay. The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time. The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata! The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub. Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable! Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat! The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!

Le rapport qualité/prix n'est pas élevé et les environs sont relativement désolés. Le prix de 3 000 yuans par nuit est encore loin de ce que j'imaginais pour un hôtel de villégiature. Peut-être que mes attentes sont trop élevées. Le dîner n’est que cela, mais il y a encore beaucoup de clients japonais locaux. Je ne sais pas si c’est moins cher pour les locaux de réserver, ou s’ils ont tous une voiture pour un accès facile. Personnellement, je ne le recommande pas aux touristes.

Very great time here, i give it the maximum rate! The people are awesome or particularly kind, the worry about everything for you, shuttle bus to station or from station to hotel, all amenities. The food was absolutely delicious, even tho sometimes it wasn’t at our taste you can see that the products are fresh, carefully selected and very tasty. It had a playing 8ball pool, and a ping-pong table! Very near Biwa Lake. Outstanding view from 11th Floor onsen. I recommend and wish to come back on our next trip to japan.

The hotel surprised me with its cleanliness. It was way newer than I expected. The room is spacious. The public bath is awesome, very comfortable with an outdoor onsen. I ordered one night with breakfast. It was delicious. I wonder why we were the only ones being seated inside the by the wall, while all the Japanese clients were seated by the window though. Was it on purpose?

Booked this stay to explore the areas around Lake Biwa. Reception was warm and friendly with an English-speaking host who provided us with the information for the stay. We booked the western style room as we preferred an attached bathroom, however the room condition was outdated and needs refurbishment, like peeling surfaces. The Japanese style room looked better when we caught a glimpse during check-out time. Nevertheless, location and amenities were great. Location is near major eateries and commercial centres by a short drive.

Ce n'était pas la meilleure capsule que j'avais réservée. Mais cette maison d'hôtes possède une cuisine équipée (idéale pour cuisiner et faire un barbecue) et une machine à laver. Belle vue sur le lac. Il y a aussi un bain chaud. M. H**aru est très accueillant. En tant que voyageuse solo, j'avais l'impression d'y avoir laissé un ami. De mon séjour de quatre jours en solo, je suis ravie d'y être allée le dernier jour. J'y retournerai. 👍

Location was great, next to the lake. Owners were nice. Place was ok to stay considering the price. The biggest issue is that wall are super thin and if you a light sleeper like me - you might have a problem :)

Ok. D'abord, laissez vos attentes à la maison à l'attente du service de niveau de l'hôtel. Une fois que vous avez fait cela si vous voulez un endroit bon marché mais propre pour rester, c'est ça. Il s'agit d'un schenkan - un établissement pour les jeunes et les organisations liées à la jeunesse pour mener des études et des activités récréatives indépendantes, dont beaucoup ont des installations d'hébergement de base mais des installations de classe supérieure à celles des hôtels de jeunesse. Ils sont situés partout au Japon. J'ai séjourné dans une chambre de mat tatami sur un étage avec des toilettes partagées. Le sol a une grande salle de bains communaux - évidemment séparé pour les hommes et les femmes. Ils ont des lumières à 11 h et les invités doivent revenir en même temps. Il y a un café très moderne qui sert des petits-déjeuners bon marché (voir photos) mais le café se clôture à 18 h. Il y a un magasin de confort à 10 minutes à pied, donc je vous suggère d'acheter des snacks et des boissons en route de la gare JR Ishiyama. Pour le dîner, il y a un restaurant familial - bon prix et bon repas - à environ 6 minutes à pied. Le sinkan est situé sur une petite île par un pont historique. Les vues de l'entrée de la rivière qui fluit dans le lac Biwa sont relaxantes, beaucoup de la faune et beaucoup de ruisseaux (le sinkan est également un établissement de sports eau), et les vues de la levante et du soleil sont magnifiques. Le personnel est très gentil.
