I didnt stay at the Manta Lodge Hostel, but I took the Open Water Diver course with these guys, so I can't say much about the hostel beyond that everything looked quite clean and comfy. The diving course was great. I came in never having dived before, and you could tell from everyone there that these guys love their sport/job and want to share it with others. We didn't have the best conditions with rain causing serious issues for visibility, but our instructor Taylah still managed to get us out there, taught us all the necessary skills, get our diving certs done, and made me feel perfectly safe throughout. And we also managed to see a handful of nice ocean critters along the way regardless :) All around great vibes, and I'm sure if the weather had been a little better, the experience would have been even more memorable. As it stands, I'll definitely keep Manta Lodge in mind, in case I ever come back to the east coast of Australia, to get a proper chance at seeing some mantas in the wild with these guys! If you do go, don't be like me, but allow for some buffer days, in case the weather isn't optimal. The folks here clearly want to offer divers the best experience they can and seem quite flexible in rescheduling dives if the weather isn't playing along!
