Mandalena Hotel Apartments

When we arrived, there was a very kind man that sleeps in the lonny at night and wakes up and greets people. The room that we stayed in (118) had 3 rooms: the main room, the bedroom and the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and my bed could also change into a sofa. The pool area is a beautiful quiet space to sunbathe, relax and go in the pool. In between the lobby and the pool there is a bar and ice creams/ food available to purchase. In the lobby there is a pool table and some sofas, chairs and teddy machines. The daytime receptionists could speak Greek and quite fluent English. There were two men, and two women. One of the women was called Μαρία/Maria/María and on the penultimate day she told us that StayForLong did not pay her. When checking out she let us wait until we are refunded. One of the men kept saying Γειά σου and Γειά σας, which both mean hello and goodbye. The hotel is not far from Pernera, Protaras *****, Protaras beach, Fig Tree bay and the Profitis Ilias church on the hill. The food there is very good and the cleaners make the beds well and I did not see a single rude member of staff. The only problems would be the lack of plug sockets, paying for AC, not a good cooker (hob). The shower had a mind of its own; sometimes, when you turn it on it turns towards the toilet and soaks the whole room. Not too many negatives. When we left the receptionists were very nice saying Γειά σας. I would recommend this hotel to going to Protaras. Definitely worth coming back Good food, rooms, facilities, staff, bar Ευχαριοτώ Mandalena *****

I’m sat by the pool on my last few hours here. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The stag at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. Pool area nice, no rush for beds and very comfy. Good location as it was 15-20 minute walk to either Protaras or Pernera… I often switched between the 2. Would recommend this place. I also has a balcony with a sea view and side windows looking over the pool.

Excellent small, family run hotel. Nothing too mush trouble for the wonderful staff. Very helpful in every way - booking tours, directions, checking out. Food very good, I was half board and both breakfast and dinner were so good. Nice bar too at poolside. Room was larger than expected with a balcony. Everywhere was spotless. Thank you, hope to return soon!

Very nice. Simple standard, but clean, reliable and friendly andre helpful staff. Nothing negative to say. Cypriot owned.

Friendly staff excellent clean and spacious apartments. Great onsite food and drinks. Panicos and wife lovely service and very friendly. Maria and Nikki very accommodating. Great base close to everything. Have booked to return in september

Had an absolutely fantastic week's stay here Scuba diving. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Clean, good air con, spacious, facilities to sort out chilling drinks and making packed lunches - good fridge, the ones with the small freezer on top. And the staff are awesome! This hotel couldn't be more perfect if you are here to scuba dive. Directly across the road from this hotel is one of (if not the) best scuba centres on the island. Being able to wake up, grab your kit and head across the road for a day of some of the best diving makes the trip that much easier! Thank you Mandalena for making our experience as good as it could be!

What a great little place this is. Everyone working there treat you very well. We was half board & the food was excellent, with a lot of options. One night we invited our friend for dinner with us and whilst eating her main course she started to choke on her food and couldn’t breathe, she was just about to go unconscious when Panicos, who works behind the bar didn’t panic and came quickly over & did the Heimlich manoeuvre. This cleared the blockage straight away and I’m sure he may of saved her life!!! A massive thank you to him and everyone of the other staff an Mandalena Apartments. We will be back.

Stayed here as part of an Easyjet package. I'd also stayed here 12 years ago. Meant as a compliment rather than a criticism; if you just want simple, clean and cheap these apartments are ideal. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed. The shower was over a (slippery) bath. A bath plug was available from reception. The room was cleaned every day. We'd paid for included breakfast but the prices were competitive. The pool area was fairly busy and contrary to other reviews we found it necessary to get up and get a sunbed early or miss out. As a regular visitor to the area, the favourite thing for me here is location being in a quiet area between Protaras and Pernera.
