Avis : HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Nakajima Park

A solid budget option in Sapporo. Front desk staff were incredibly kind, with limited English but always accommodating and patient! Location was awesome. Just overlooking Nakajima Park with a short 5-min walk to an underground station with quick access to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, Susukino, etc. Room was very clean, and big enough to still have a bit of space to move around in rather than being stuck on the bed. Breakfast was decent! Fresh milk and juice, machine coffee was better than average. Congee, miso soup, some hot plate dishes (bacon, egg, wedges, fritters) as well as some Japanese options, white toast and jams, cereal, but limited fruit and veg.

I loved that the location of this hotel is right next to beautiful park and also close to the metro stop. I was surprised that the hotel didn’t complimentary waters for the guest and simple amenities such as body lotion, shampoo etc

The hotel is nice as a whole while most of the staff I came across didn’t speak English. The night shift car park staff was impolite by turning off my car light after I lowered the window before it went in the parking machine and knocked on my car door without knowing the reason. This hotel will probably not on my list next time when I visit Sapporo.

Sort of an evil property by Mystays standards, which is a shame as the location and layout of the rooms are great. I had a business meeting in Asahikawa one of the days, so I emailed the hotel that I needed a 2PM checkout, they responded that 1PM is the latest allowed for 2000 yen per hour (double the industry rate). The train was sold out so I wasn't able to reach back to the hotel until 1:45, I kept in touch and emailed them to advise them of my check out status, but the staff was so mean to me after this incident, they acted like I was a criminal and refused to store my luggage the next time I checked out. I understand that I broke a protocol, but that was out of my control, and I still paid a lot of money, actually the 6,000 yen I was forced to pay was more than the cost of the room for another night. The staff at this Mystays need to understand that they work in the hospitality industry. Things like this can happen sometimes, but when you treat your customers in a hostile way like this, it reflects badly on the entire company. Mystays is owned by private equity out of the middle east, so I understand why the late check out is 2X as expensive, but the service should NOT be more hostile because of this. If anything they should be nicer to the customers. Because this ruins your reputation and people won't stay there anymore.

The hotel is clean and tidy, we booked a four-person room that has enough space. The location is a bit less inconvenient though.

not ideal location, might be nicer in the spring since there is a park nearby. old but clean and adequate facilities.

Near to train station ! Staffs are friendly and helpful . Good breakfast buffet.

Superior room was booked. It was disappointed that view is worse than that of standard room my friends chose. And the design of bathtub has problem with water leaking to floor.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, a family of 5. The room is large enough to accommodate all of us and was very neat and clean. The restaurant which served breakfast was quite small but the food was decent. Our car is 7 seater and was too big to be parked indoor. However, the public carpark was few steps away. Staffs were very friendly too. Overall, it was a happy stay.

The hotel is well maintained and the service is good. Hotel is easily accessible by subway, only 5 minutes walk.

The staffs are very polite and the hotel is clean. However, there is a charge if house keeping is required.

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel. I like the location, calm enough yet close to the center of Sapporo.
