Hôtels sur la plage à Southbank

Maybe it was once nice but it has got so many issues with it and I highly recommend you look elsewhere. We stayed in a two bedroom one bathroom apartment and it was honestly the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We were assigned room 2201W. Here are the issues we encountered during our four night stay. 1. Power outage on our last day with no back up generator for the entire building (both east and west). It’s 31 degrees outside so opening the doors is also not a smart option. Started at 9am and is already over 4 hours. As I have breastmilk in the fridge for my 3 month old, this is my worst nightmare. 2. Safe battery is low. Why hasn’t anyone changed it??? 3. Bathroom shower head plate is broken so water sprays at you un-uniformly and overall unpleasant. 4. Water drips out of the shower but the fall doesn’t go to the drain so the floor remains flooded. 5. Due to point number 4, the bottom of the bathroom door has expanded and the door does NOT close. It is so jammed that it feels like you’d break the handle trying to jam the latch in and back out. 6. Stupid placement of the microwave. You can’t open the microwave door more than 45 degrees. How on earth do you put a dinner plate in there??? 7. Missing cups/ mugs and glasses. 3 mugs, two short glasses, two tall glasses and odd numbered cutlery. Just fix it, for crying out loud! The top rack of the dishwasher was also broken making it difficult to pull in and out the middle rack. 8. Upon check in, we didn’t have any cleaning supplies such as dishwashing tablets, hand washing liquid for dishes or laundry powder. 9. Rooms are so tiny. Don’t expect to be able to open your medium sized luggages inside your room. We kept our two in the so called living space instead. 10. Generally upkeep is not there. Walls have visible stains and grime from previous guests. The whole place just overall felt really really filthy. 11. Not family friendly either. There is a flight of stairs at the entry and no ramp. There is a wheelchair elevator to the side which takes way too long to operate with a crying baby. If you’re on your own, be prepared to lift you pram up or hope a Good Samaritan can help you because the hotel staff won’t. Clearly there are issues within management and housekeeping. I sense laziness and lack of hospitality understanding is to blame. STAY ELSEWHERE!!!

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel pour fêter notre anniversaire de mariage du dimanche au mardi. Nous avons été impressionnés par notre chambre la première nuit car elle avait une vue magnifique sur la rivière, un lit confortable et une salle de bain spacieuse, mais c'est vraiment la deuxième nuit qui a rendu notre séjour le plus mémorable lorsque nous avons reçu un surclas*****t inattendu dans une chambre suite dans laquelle nous pourrions travailler confortablement pendant la journée mais aussi profiter encore plus de notre anniversaire. C'était l'une des plus belles chambres d'hôtel où nous ayons séjourné avec un salon, un bureau, une vue sur le Yarra et une baignoire spa. Indépendamment de tout cela, l'emplacement était incroyable juste sur Southbank et les installations de gym étaient très appréciées. Ce fut une expérience incroyable et un anniversaire des plus mémorables, nous le recommandons vivement à tous ceux qui visitent Melbourne.

The hotel is close to the Southbank shopping area and has great views. The hotel is on a very busy intersection and we had a lot of difficulty parking out the front. The hotel entrance is confusing and not obvious. The reception and restaurant area is all black and very dark, which may be fashionable but its not practical. The 2 bedroom apartment was surprising small and the bathroom and shower were too tight for tall people. The closed balcony was safe and allowed for a little fresh air. The air conditioner in our room did not work and it was to hot to sleep. The lighting was also a strange set up, you could not turn on the bathroom lights without turning on all the lounge lights. We had dinner and breakfast at the venue and dinner was very good. The cold breakfast selections were average and only melon was available for fresh fruit. The orange juice was terrible. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Le service de tous les membres du personnel que j'ai rencontré était très aimable et professionnel.

Bien qu'il ait été conçu à l'origine pour un hôtel près de la salle de concert, il s'est avéré de manière inattendue très proche du CBD. L'hôtel est un arrêt de tram pendant cinq minutes, très pratique, et il y a aussi 711 magasins de proximité à proximité. C'est peut-être à cause de la déco à proximité + j'étais l'idiot de la route au début pour trouver le mauvais, mais après avoir trouvé le bon endroit, j'ai trouvé que le lobby s'y sent bien ! Le personnel est très gentil, la chambre est confortable et belle, les installations sont complètes et le chauffage est adéquat. Des chaussons et des brosses à dents doivent être apportés. Les serviettes et les lits sont changés tous les jours. Le petit-déjeuner doit être ajouté et il vous sera demandé si vous avez besoin d'une place de parking. Il est également très bon de mentionner la sécurité de l'hôtel. L'ascenseur doit être glissé pour récupérer les clés de l'étage. Avec une photo de ma soeur et de mes oies. Je choisirai ici plus tard.

1 nuit séjour Location parfaite 5min à pied à la cour de la gare de flinders. 7 sur la route. Holiday Inn express comme toujours très innovante. Salle de bain idéale avec toutes les installations dans les bouteilles de pompe de fourniture tellement abondante. Personnel amiable avec check-in rapide. Le petit déjeuner gratuit était étonnant de la céréale toast jus de latte écramé de sauce d'œufs à grains bruns. 10 sur 10

We chose QWS because it is superbly located for the city and cultural quarter but without any road noise. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Really friendly staff who give you their time, nothing too much trouble and a very good breakfast choice. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of our stay. Being an apartment type hotel with residents meant that we were treated as guests not simply people passing through. We had a late flight back to London and Stephen kindly arranged for us to freshen up in a room before departing for the airport. To top it all we were upgraded to a lovely suite on the 8th floor without even asking. What a welcome. If only all accommodation providers could match the customer service we received holidays would always be great. Well done team QWS !!

I’d like to share our Villa experience at Crown Towers Melbourne room 3138 from 29th to 31st May 2023. To start, our greeting from Anthony and Sarah was simply delightful with champagne and the ultimate introduction of the room. We couldn’t have asked for anything more on arrival. The housekeeping attention to detail was excellent, though a mop was left in the second lavatory on the 2nd day. Not a big deal for us, however it’s those small touches that could impact other guests impressions. The bed was WOW - the linens, wow wow wow, like a cloud. The Koko Black chocolates were beautiful though the fruit bowl was nothing to be desired, a fruit platter would have made a nicer touch. The ceramics and art work in the Villa were spectacular though please inspect and dust the two ceramic cranes in the bedroom, the dust on them was so thick, I don’t think it had been done for a couple of months. The power plug at the bedroom window was slightly off the wall requiring maintenance and scuff marks on the walls. There was some feedback that we would like to give that would’ve made our stay absolutely incredible and memorable and what we thought would have been included as a ‘butler touch’ but failed to deliver. (Noting that we have stayed at numerous other properties globally that do this) For example, Knowing that it was our anniversary, a romantic bath or rose petals on the bed after we returned from the club room, would’ve been a nice touch Knowing that we were going to stay in, enjoy the room and watch movies, a small gesture of popcorn or movie snacks would’ve been a nice touch. I would have loved if it was offered to have our luggage unpacked. The in-room tablet is a big thing for us. It’s something that influences us to stay at Crown! Knowing that we can order room service at any time from the tablet. This never worked and was never able to be fixed for the duration of stay. This was a big letdown. On our second night the turndown service came approximately 1600. It was the two Butler team, plus two Housekeeper‘s, it would’ve been better if they had of waited until we went to the club room at 1730, so we were not disturbed. Overall, I don’t think you can offer the butler service as a selling point because we were not offered anything different than when we have stayed in the Premier Club suite. If the Butlers are meant to offer you services, then this feedback should definitely be delivered because we were not offered anything above and beyond what we would get in a standard Crown Suite. Though worthy to note that any time we interacted with any of the Butler team, the communication was professional and delightful. I do expect absolute perfection in hotels (and I’m happy to pay the price) but there were just a few imperfections that need attention. I have booked again for my 40th birthday because the room was so beautiful but I will come prepared with a list of requests for the butler team since its more ‘ask and you’ll receive’ rather than ‘we will

An elegant hotel in a good location just close to everything we need. Beautiful lobby, clean common areas, and a welcoming a**osphere upon arrival. Comfy bed and convenient parking. Decent breakfast and friendly restaurant staff make your day. Only a downside was housekeeping keep asking us when will you check out while we are going out for breakfast and coming back to our room, but it will not bother us for our visit again. Thanks for having us.

J'ai réservé pour S$600 pour 3 nuits. Très bon marché et il est très bon hôtel. Espace pour 2 adultes 2 enfants. Salle de douche et toilette séparée. Il serait bon si elle vient avec baignoire. Ils n'ont pas dénoncé d'autres choses que l'incohérence dans le service de garde-fournir, mais ils n'ont mis en place des installations comme la boîte à tissus que sur demande, même si elle était vide pendant le garde-fournir. Il faut demander des pièges supplémentaires car il n'y a eu que 4 par chambre pour 2 lits de taille Queen. pas dans la zone de tramway gratuit mais seulement 1 arrêt de la zone de tramway gratuit. Nous nous arrêterons habituellement à l'arrêt du parc Batman et revenir. Liens entre 2 hôtels coroners, très pratique.
