Casa Ambar Tulum - Great Location

En commençant mon commentaire, je voudrais mentionner que l'hôtel est toujours en construction. Il y a beaucoup de travaux de construction sur place. Pour l'instant, la réception de l'hôtel et un bâtiment avec des chambres sont prêts à accueillir les visiteurs, mais ils ne sont pas encore complètement terminés. Quoi qu'il en soit, après avoir passé une semaine dans cet hôtel, je peux affirmer avec confiance que cet hôtel a toutes les opportunités de devenir quelque chose de fabuleux s'il planifie et rend tout intelligent et responsable. Je tiens à mentionner que l'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal si vous souhaitez séjourner au cœur de la plage de Tulum. De plus, vous êtes littéralement entouré par la jungle et très proche de Mère Nature ! Tous les bars, restaurants et clubs célèbres et majeurs de Tulum se trouvent à proximité de l'hôtel. La plage est juste en face. Malheureusement, il n’y a pas de raccourci entre l’hôtel et la plage. Vous devez marcher sur la route principale pendant environ 2 minutes jusqu'à un endroit appelé "Ahau", et l'accès à la plage pour tout le monde se fait directement par ce Beach Club. À propos, c'est l'un de mes clubs de plage préférés à Tulum. Je recommande totalement de louer un lit là-bas (j'ai payé 500 pesos ou 27 $ pour une journée de loyer, le crédit pour la nourriture et les boissons n'est pas inclus) et de passer du temps toute la journée. De retour à l'hôtel, la réception est située à l'extérieur. C'est petit, mais très mignon. Pas encore complètement terminé comme je l'ai mentionné plus tôt. Les gars qui travaillent à la réception étaient gentils. Le problème avec eux était une mauvaise communication en anglais, car aucun d’entre eux ne parlait très bien anglais. Mais heureusement, nous avons toujours trouvé un moyen de nous comprendre. Un autre problème avec le personnel de l'hôtel était l'absence d'agent de sécurité. En gros, ces adorables petits garçons de la réception (qui avaient l'air d'avoir entre 20 et 25 ans) faisaient le travail de sécurité en même temps. Ce n’est pas une véritable sécurité, et tout étranger peut facilement accéder au site de l’hôtel car la porte principale de l’hôtel est toujours ouverte. Ce que j’ai vraiment apprécié, c’est la possibilité de toujours communiquer avec le personnel de l’hôtel via WhatsApp (vous pouvez trouver le numéro WhatsApp sur le site Web officiel de l’hôtel). Ils m'ont répondu assez rapidement à chaque fois que je demandais quelque chose. En outre, l'hôtel est prêt à fournir un transfert depuis/vers l'aéroport de Cancun. Si je me souviens bien, le prix était de 170 $ US pour 2 personnes. Mais mon ami et moi n'avons pas utilisé cette option. Maintenant à propos de ma chambre. J'ai réservé une chambre Deluxe King Size avec vue sur la jungle et balcon (j'ai eu la chambre n°6) et en général, je l'ai aimé, en particulier son design qui était représenté dans le style classique de Tulum. Ils ont très joliment décoré la chambre, je m'y sentais incroyablement à l'aise, je voulais y être ! Je ne changerais rien du point de vue du design. Je me concentrerais davantage sur un aspect installations. Par exemple, il n’y avait pas de réfrigérateur dans ma chambre. Et c’était très pénible, car il faisait tout le temps chaud dans la pièce. Le climatiseur n'a pas fonctionné 24 h. Ils ne l'ont allumé que la nuit (vous pouvez trouver cette information sur le site officiel). De plus, je crois que le climatiseur de ma chambre ne fonctionnait pas bien et

Horrible..they. turn the air off before 7 when uts only on 9pm to 7am. This is one step above camping. The shower can't get the soap from your hair let alone your body. No tv..no cooler..very little curtain privacy..you can't use your hairdryer..the sister hotel is equally as bad. The pool is a dirty concrete hole. They do have beach access but it's a 20 walk or more to the other end of the zone. They were suppose to pick us up at the airport and that didn't happen either. All the way around I wouldn't recommend staying unless you like camping on vacation. If you like jungle camping and that's what you came here for than by all means great place for you. Does have good location. Nothing else

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is in a wonderful location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The beach is across the street. There were a few not so positive reviews. I almost didn’t book because of the negativity. Sure glad I did book. I would highly recommend Casa Ambar. The room is large and clean. The WI-FI is a little spotty but all of Tulum has this problem. Put your devices down and enjoy the scenery. The property across the street from Casa Ambar gave me beach access. It was a short walk of less than a mile to the sister hotel. The sister hotel also offers parking if you do not want to walk. They offered me a beach longe chair and access to the pool. Towels were given at the office. I gave my room key to the reception. The key was given back when I returned the towels. Casa Amber also offers access to a Cenote. The Cenote was at another sister property. It was a remote Cenote down a beautiful path. Kayaks were available. The hotel was affordable with much to offer. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

The resort is somewhat rustic, but beautifully decorated. Looks like it is straight out of architectural digest with the whitewashed pallet and elegant décor of art and antiques. I really enjoyed all the great photo ops. The staff do not speak much English, however, they were very gracious and helpful. The check in reception area is open air and they no longer offer breakfast, however, they have a screened off communal kitchen area with beautiful tile work if you need to make food preparation, get more drinking water, or keep something refrigerated. Resort is solar powered with occasional back up generator use. Electricity and Wi-Fi will be spotty at times. We observed the potable water truck filling up the holding tanks, which was reassuring, I could smell chlorine in the water coming through the pipes, which is always a good thing in Tulum. The locks on the room doors are super rustic and not very user-friendly, could possibly have made me uneasy if I had been a woman traveling alone. My husband and I shared a tower room among the jungle tree tops, and our 18-year-old daughters shared another room on the ground floor. Security was good and we felt safe. The staff are good people. Rooms were cleaned daily. This place is one of the best deals we found in Tulum. Beach right across the street but you must enter through a restaurant or beach club. Tulum Beach/ HOTEL zone is very expensive/muy caro! Do not dine at restaurants without listed prices! Our only real complaint here was that the employee at the hotel reception recommended Ohua for breakfast, which has beautiful beach views but very average food, we had oa**eal, eggs, coffee, and bottled water and our tab for 4 people was over US$300! There were no listed prices on the menu, so we figured it wouldn’t be cheap, but we were quite blown away/dehumanized by this bill! After learning this lesson, I would still say that I would happily stay at Casa Ambar, Tulum again, in the future!

Very nice place best location main *****, love it, good service, nice people on reception. they speak perfect Maya, English, Spanish and maybe some more. Awesome terrace with hammak, recommended....................................

Great location and better staff, the hotel is not far from anything. Sister hotels were amazing, beach and cenote access, looking forward for my next vacation here! Staff helped us with everything we needed, they made reservations for us and told us where to go, 10/10 would recommend

I stayed in casa ambar because it was in a prime location in the hotel zone. They also had free bikes which I didn't know about to help me get around. It was nicer than waiting in a taxi. They had 2 sister hotels - I could access the beach from one, and a private cenote at the other. Why pay thousands for one of the popular hotels when you get the benefits of 3 hotels with your stay here? Definitely will come back again. The private cenote made everything worth it. Took some drone photos while I was there. I liked showering in the giant washroom with the jungle right outside my window. Highly reccomend

I stayed at this chic, boutique hotel in Tulum for 2 nights in May 2022 and it was fabulous! My room was on the first floor at the rear. Huge room and bathroom with high ceiling. It overlooked the mangrove forest which was stunning!, with a large balcony where I sat down at times to enjoy the cool breeze. The bathroom overlooked the forest as well!, that was exceptionally beautiful and calming for me each time I had a shower. Loved the antique furniture, gave it a rustic vibe. The bed is large and comfortable. The air conditioning only comes on from about 9 pm till the next morning, which is a common thing here in all the hotels. However, it’s was fairly cool throughout the day. It’s across the road from the beach, which is approximately 150 metres away and is on the main ***** with many restaurants, bars and retail shops, which was convenient for me. The staff is polite and always available. Diego, who has been working tirelessly at the front desk, always greeted me with a large smile and is very knowledgeable about the places to visit in the vicinity. He’s a star! The manager of the hotel who also manages 2 other properties near was very helpful and even drove me and a few others, about once! Overall I had a wonderful experience and stay at Tulum at this beautiful hotel and can’t wait to return someday!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! I have video proof of mice running around the kitchen were they cook your breakfast! The “manager” of this property tried to call me a liar and said I took the video at a different property, it’s blatantly obvious it’s their kitchen because the photos of the kitchen correspond with my video 😊 Absolutely disgusting hotel and the staff are the worst I have ever dealt with especially the manager who is extremely ignorant and rude! €1700 for 5 nights and we only stayed for 1 night as we were repulsed at how filthy our room was, we had no hot water in fact the water wouldn’t even come out if the shower when we turned the hot water on! The bed sheets were covered in orange stains and they also felt damp, we had to sleep with our clothes over the pillows! Only one plug in the whole room actually worked! The room was covered in dust, I have asthma and really struggled to breath hence why we only stayed the one night. The noise was unbearable! We could hear conversations being had in the reception from our room, you could hear people walking up and down the stairs at 6 in the morning! If you value your money AT ALL I highly advise to avoid staying at this hotel!
