I had a fantastic stay at Bannisters by the sea. It is probably the best option in the area. Restaurant by Rickstein offers freshly made Australian cuisine. Cocktails are delicious too.

We stayed with friends and unfortunately found the three nights underwhelming. The rooms were not cleaned properly each day- bed was made and towels changed - but it was not vacuumed and glasses went unwashed. The beds however were very comfortable. The design of the toilet in the shower is very odd and the smell of mildew evident in bathroom. We kept the fan on for the whole of our stay. Plastic chairs on balcony were uncomfortable and well below what you would expect at this price. Restaurant meal was excellent for our dinner but let down with an average breakfast. I would advise to book dinner in the restaurant but stay elsewhere.

We recently spent two nights at Bannisters by the Sea, Mollymook. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is something special! The staff were absolutely beautiful - warm, friendly & genuinely attentive. Their Hospitality was effortless & sincere. The setting itself is breath taking. We stayed in an First floor luxury suite with uninterrupted sea views. Interiors were modest & tasteful. But the true stand out was the Food! Every meal was fantastic. All 3 venues had something different to offer which was great. And the courtesy shuttle between their 2 Hotels was much appreciated! We left feeling relaxed & spoilt - We will be back!

The views are incredible - staff at reception and restaurants are just lovely very attentive - quiet romantic getaway well needed - can't wait to go back. Surrounding beaches are sunning and a close walk, Milton is a beautiful idyllic town close by.

Really disappointing stay at Bannisters by the Sea. It was tired, worn around the edges and dated. The building looked like a ‘70s motel. Take a plug with you for you phone as no usb sockets!! The pool was absolutely stunning and very clean. The staff were very friendly although there seemed to be a lack of anyone in overall charge. The bedsheets were ok but the duvet and pillows were not great quality and not what we expected at this level of £££ Molly Mook is a stunning area with breathtaking beaches and coastline. I’d definitely go to the area again but would not return to Bannisters

Réponse de l'établissement: Dear WiltshireWonderer, Thank you for taking the time to pass on your feedback. Yes, indeed the Pool Bar is spectacular, with amazing views of the Tasman and blue skies and water to Point perpendicular in Jervis Bay on a sunny day! You are spot on WiltshireWonderer, we reinvented a 70's motel and over the years we have grown the property to not just have our stunning Ocean Deluxe Rooms but also our gorgeous Corner Suites above the Pool Bar By the Sea which give you panoramic views of Narrawallee to Mollymook. We didn't stop there Though! We built our pristine Collette Dinnigan suites which give a nod to coastal luxury and a Hamptons feel which we have carried through to 90% of our bathrooms now. If you are feeling like the ultimate indulgence and want to splurge with a special someone or with a group of friends then our Cameron Kimber Penthouse will not disappoint! So we are always looking to improve and we love feedback so again, a big thank you from the team and I to you! Ultimately, what really warms the cockles of our hearts is to know that guests found our staff friendly. We do hope to see you again in Mollymook, if not in our rooms then hopefully again in one of our fabulous restaurants, Rick Stein, the Rooftop Bar & Grill, Pool Bar, or in our serene Day Spa by the Sea. Till then, with best wishes, Rupert & Team

Have stayed many times and it never disappoints. Falling asleep to the sound of the sea is magic. This time we splurged and stayed in a suite - room 33 which was amazing. We also had dinner twice at the on site restaurant ( see separate review) and loved it. The staff were all great which speaks volumes at a time when many venues struggle to get and retain good hospitality staff.

We were booked into Bannisters Pavillon and decided it would be more convenient to upgrade to by the sea. There is no receptionist or any assistance available between 8.00pm and 9.00am. On arrival we checked in only to find there is no help with baggage. Our room was fine. At the pool there is no attendant and you are expected to take your own sunbed mattress from the store room. Fortunately in the high wind one of the staff from the pool bar gave us assistance. The area between Rick Steins and the pool was very tired and not clean. This is a very expensive hotel and needs to improve its customer service .

Definitely doesn’t feel five star and wouldn’t go back. Bunker bay is incredible and its proximity to the beach is its selling point. The resort itself and the service was average. Little things like we didn’t receive our coffees at breakfast a few times, restaurant wasn’t great and the rooms were the most basic we had over our trip in the region. Dark with an unusable balcony, a weak shower and a toilet that didn’t flush properly. It’s probably an ok resort if you have children and need to all be in one place, but it’s not 5 star and wouldn’t recommend for a couple.

We got a great deal from Luxury Escapes. We got to experience the spa, Ricks restaurant, the pool bar and had a water front room with a spa on the deck. We were there in winter and loved it. The warm spa on the deck was fabulous. We will be back and would recommend to couples.

Stayed in room #34 balcony suite, fantastic, spacious comfortable & exceptional views. Afternoon drinks around the pool bar overlooking the ocean was so relaxing and breakfast was amazing, a la carte with plenty of choices, barista coffee, complimentary fruit juices, fresh fruit, croissants and jam & friendly staff to greet you of a morning. Reception staff extremely helpful & obliging. Highly recommend, not to long a drive from Sydney

Lovely staff at check in, the ocean deluxe room facing east was wonderful, spotted whales and dolphins too during our stay. The breakfasts are really fresh and generous, the pizza and cocktails on arrival were sublime and provided by a warm and professional waiter 'Dimitris' who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Lovely ambience, overall a great experience, we will be back!

Bannisters at Mollymook provides a sublime getaway experience. My stay was delightful, characterized by excellent service and breathtaking ocean views. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. Dining at Rick Stein's restaurant was an exceptional experience, with fresh, locally-sourced seafood dishes that were both innovative and delicious. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, enhancing the overall stay with their warm hospitality. Additionally, the location is superb, with easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. Overall, Bannisters at Mollymook exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or a peaceful retreat, this hotel offers an ideal combination of luxury and relaxation. I couldn't be happier with my stay and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality coastal experience.

don’t go if you are not a couple. singles -Not good enough for Bannisters By the Sea. No twin beds. Fine ALL other places have Queen beds that can be made into singles. Seemingly too simple for Bannisters by the Sea. Bigots. We are 2 sisters travelling together and this was for my birthday. If I get the chance to badmouth you I will.

This is an outstanding hotel. I could park close to my room, which was very easily entered without having to go down a corridor. The room itself was most tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and very well equipped and maintained. There was a beautiful panoramic view of the sea from the front windows. It was wonderful going to sleep with the sound of waves. There was also a sliding insect screen. The bed was most comfortable and the air conditioning worked quietly and well. The bathroom was perhaps a little small but had a good shower and plenty of high quality towels. Contrary to another review I saw, the toilet in my bathroom was quite close to the shower but not in it. Binoculars were thoughtfully provided to admire the view. Staff members I encountered were polite and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was particularly good. Ambience and service there were excellent. I also enjoyed breakfast although I would have preferred it to start at 7.00 am rather than 7.30 am. There is much lovely coastal scenery near the hotel that I saw on my walks from it. I can highly recommend this hotel and will stay in it again.

Nested in a precious corner of Mollymook, Bannister by the Sea didn’t disappoint. With its stunning views, green surroundings and chic environment, is worth spending some time there . Rick Stein chose well when he decided to have one of his restaurants there. The food was delicious!. It’s not a 5-star review because there was an incident with the pedicurist that the manager solved quickly and the access to the rooms doesn’t make justice to what is inside and beyond: the most spectacular view of the ocean.
