Great accommodation. Comfortable beds with multiple shared bathrooms so no long wait — good facilities. Hospitality and service was good, owners were nice and friendly. Recommend if planning on a stay.

Had a lovely stay at Scenic Hotel Marlborough to end off our trip in New Zealand. The hotel room was much bigger than our previous hotel stays, where we could comfortably open both our large-sized luggage to repack. Apart from the spacious rooms, we love how clean the toilets were and how tidy our rooms are done up by room service each time we return from our day out. The stand out however, was the service provided to us by the staff. We arrived around midnight as we had a long drive from Fox Glacier to get here but the staff was ever ready to receive us, and even gave us recommendations on what to visit around Marlborough during our stay. During our stay, there were occasions where we opted to buy food back to enjoy in our hotel room and the room service was readily available to provide us whatever we needed to have a lovely meal in, including plates, wine glasses and even condiments. Highly recommended!!

The positive first. It was a really good location and the rooms were clean.
But. We did book two rooms with double beds and sea view. We also payed for it. But we didn’t get what we paid for.
We got one double bed room and one room with a double bed and a single bed ( the single bed was really tiny btw). We went to the reception to ask because we were confused.
And the service wasn’t good at all. The woman at the reception told us that they don’t have two rooms that kind. And we ask why they offer something like that. She couldn’t tell us. She told us she could get us a downgrade to a family room. But that’s all she could do. And then she just laughed at us. We think it’s really rude.
The breakfast is not good at all. There is toast, some fruits, pancakes and oatmeal. Could be better.
After we checked out we just went outside and I saw on my account that the hotel charged my credit card with 100€. So I went back inside. And the man looked it up and told me ups was a mistake and he returned the money. I just found that really odd.

部屋は綺麗に清掃されていて、広いので荷物を十分広げられます。
ホテル側の責任ではありませんが、2泊の予約をしていたのに、1泊目がホテルに情報が来ておらず、1泊しかできなかったのが残念です。

Lovely place to stay with a giant sequoia in front of its main gate. A free breakfast is definitely the cherry on top of the cake. And the staff are nice, gentle and supportive

La ville est très confortable, et vous trouverez un établissement très confortable.
Très pacifique et beau à l'extérieur pour profiter de la vue et de la paix - très relaxant.
Appartement très confortable, très moderne et propre et bien équipé.
Il est trop loin de Picton Town pour marcher mais seulement 10 minutes de marche à la ferry.

Profitez de l'extrême du motel, des chambres d'hôtes de plain-pied, de la voiture garée à l'entrée principale, vous pouvez vivre immédiatement, il y a de grands supermarchés et restaurants à moins de 5-10 minutes. De manière générale, c'est le premier choix pour une visite autonome d'une nuit. Les installations et services ne sont pas l'atout du motel, mais celui-ci est aussi relativement confortable. Vous pouvez simplement acheter du matériel au supermarché et simplement cuisiner. N'oubliez pas qu'il est préférable de ne pas cuisiner de plats chinois car les condiments doivent être préparés

J'y ai dormi une nuit et dans l'ensemble, c'était assez confortable. Bien qu'il ne soit pas au centre de la ville, il n'est qu'à dix minutes à pied de la gare interurbaine et de la gare, et à quelques minutes à pied se trouve la zone commerciale. Si vous n'avez pas beaucoup de bagages, vous pouvez vous y promener. La cuisine peut être utilisée pour cuisiner et est très propre. Dans le camping derrière l'hôtel, vous pouvez vous promener après le dîner et étudier divers camping-cars, ce qui vous ouvre les yeux.
Blenheim est trop jeune. J'ai appris qu'il n'y avait pas de bus le week-end après mon arrivée. Les musées populaires et les chocolateries de la région sont loin sans conduire. Il m'a fallu 70 minutes pour me rendre au musée. Heureusement, un employé du musée m'a renvoyé à l'hôtel après avoir quitté le travail, sinon je devrais faire tout le chemin du retour.

KKultbueroWe stayed at Portage Hotel as a family with three children and chose it as one of the final stops of our four-week road trip. It turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our journey.
We were genuinely impressed by the location, the service, and the overall facilities. The setting is simply stunning, peaceful and scenic, yet the hotel offers a wide range of activities, which made it perfect for traveling with kids.
Despite being high season, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly customer-oriented. You never felt rushed or overlooked, which is not always a given during busy holiday periods.
We especially appreciated that many activities are included at no extra cost, such as canoes and stand-up paddleboards. There is also a pool, which was a big plus for the children after long days of exploring.
The rooms are well equipped and thoughtfully designed. A small but lovely detail was the beautifully scented selection of shampoos and creams provided in the room, which added a very pleasant touch to the stay.
The value for money feels absolutely justified. The food was good, the drink selection more than sufficient, and the wine list offered something for everyone.
All in all, a fantastic place for families and travelers looking for comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. We would happily return and can highly recommend the Portage Hotel.

IInvitéWe took this as a 2 day getaway, expecting it to be top notch... especially given the price of $480/night PLUS $120 each to get there by water taxi. We stayed in Endeavour unit 18.
Unfortunately, for the price, it fell well below expectations. No kitchenette as advertised, no TV, the 'King size bed' turns out to be 2 single beds of different elevations pushed together, with a 'step' between them. There IS a spa pool, but contains more filth than water - it was truly disgusting. In The restaurant we ordered an expensive meal but quickly found the Cray fish was far from fresh and the lamb rack was more sheep ribs than Lamb(!) We ate it, just because of where we are and it wasn't inedible, but for a meal that cost over $300 with wine it was a long way from what we would expect elsewhere at even close to the same price point.... and before we had even finished our meal, at just 8pm having sat down at 7pm, we were told the place was closing and could we please finish in our room.
Although we had already paid for the 2 nights, we left after just 1, with no refund for the unused night - truthfully I didn't push the issue, I just wanted to get home.
Will never return.

IInvitéLes chambres étaient très confortables. Le restaurant est très bien situé, mais il est très bien situé. Je me suis réveillé à 4AM par quelqu'un de haut en haut dans la zone de fumée, qui parlait si fort sur leur téléphone ... J'ai dû sortir de mon lit au milieu de la nuit et leur demander de partir ailleurs ou de terminer leur appel. Au milieu de la nuit, quelqu'un a fait un repas très fragrant qui a fait l'odorant de l'ensemble du bâtiment - il était si intense qu'il permétait même dans notre chambre qui était la plus loin de la cuisine ... pas un grand séjour quand vous ne pouvez même pas dormir par la nuit et vous sentez comme si vous étiez au milieu de la nourriture d'un utilisateur..

IInvitéAn excellent boutique experience. Sennen House has a story to tell, and it’s a beautiful place to discover it. Set in a quiet location, its grounds are fantastic, utilising every piece of space cleverly; the welcoming croquet set was a taste of what was to come.
The room we stayed in was great. Nice views and good spaces. Having a separate living and dining area is always a bonus, but its well appointed kitchen with a coffee machine was an extra one! The little baking treats left each day were lovely touches and were enjoyed. It was lovely to organise and portion out our own breakfast each morning, and having ownership of this was a bonus.
If we are lucky enough to visit Picton again, we would definitely make this venue our first choice.

The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

Very high standards of cleanliness with immaculate presentation of rooms, amenities and supplies.
Although the motel is adjacent to a very busy road we had very good and deep sleeping and I noticed on check out that should anyone need them Ear plugs are freely available.
