The room was clean, the environment was comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The toilet also had a washing machine and dryer available for use. Overall, the accommodation was good, but there was one thing I really disliked: the service. On the day of my check-in, the weather conditions across the entire island were terrible, with yellow and orange weather alerts issued. I couldn’t go anywhere, so I arrived at the accommodation at around 1 PM. Since the official check-in time was 4 PM, I asked if it would be possible to check in a little earlier. However, I was told that the room was “not ready yet.” Guess what? I ended up waiting in my car outside until 4 PM. During that entire time, I didn’t see a single person coming in or going out, and the place itself already looked neat and clean. I wasn’t asking for an early check-in just for the sake of it. Given the terrible weather conditions, I really had nowhere else to go. If early check-in is not allowed or simply not possible, I would appreciate it if you could just be honest and tell me directly instead of giving me the impression that the room wasn’t ready. The accommodation itself was good, but the service and the way this situation was handled were disappointing.

Excellent location by the port. Originally called Welcome Apartments, it is now called Hotel Vest Mar; ended up spending a good half an hour figuring that out. The onsite parking makes it quite convenient to carry luggage up and down, however there is no lift at the property, so be prepared. Would definitely recommend if you plan to spend at least some time indoors as the room is immaculate, with lot of space.

We added bed linens with additional charges but then we need to install it ourselves. We are already tired travel from far and setting the bedlinen ourselves is unacceptable. For the men's shared bathroom( not the toilet), the floor is full of dirt, without slippers it is very bad experience. I was showering with naked feet because I only travel with shoes. As there's a short distance from room to the bathroom that need to step through murt, other traveller slippers also became dirty and just walk into shower area with slippers on. There's plenty of space for shared kitchen which is awesome, but the auto door lock made it very inconvenient for a single person that is in middle of cooking and need to open door for partner, because 1 room is only given with 1 set of keys. I did not expect that the full windowed view of waterfall is only for ordering meal, oherwise I would rather spend 1 meal there for the scenery, sadly I missed the awesome breakfast.

Très recommandé! ❤️ Nous avons séjourné à Moar Cottage en groupe de trois, et tout était absolument adorable!! 🥰 Le cottage était super propre, chaud, confortable et chaud, ce qui nous a fait sentir à la maison! La cuisine était entièrement équipée avec tout ce qu'on avait besoin, et ils ont même préparé du sel, du poivre et de l'huile de cuisson pour nous, haha! Quel petit détail réfléchi! 😆 La salle de bain était aussi sans spot, et le shampooing était également fourni! La location était fantastique aussi! Il y a un supermarché juste un 5-minute drive away, qui a fait tout si pratique! Dans l'ensemble, nous n'avons pas pu demander un meilleur séjour! Tout était juste parfait, et nous avons apprécié chaque instant ici! ❤️ Merci beaucoup pour avoir mis en commun un petit appartement si beau et accueillant! Nous apprécions vraiment tous les efforts et les détails réfléchis. Nous aimerions vraiment rester ici un jour encore!! 🥹💕

Really lovely hotel. Everything great, only downside was the location. We hadn’t realised how far out it was from everything. Great for seeing northern lights but at least a 2 hour drive to lots of the popular sights.

Pourquoi donner 5 étoiles ? C'est parce que le service est très bon. Et puis je vois la lumière super belle. Parce que c'est très proche de la plage de la mer. Le premier jour, la fuite n'a pas vu le pirate. Il est parti à 10 heures le lendemain matin. Je suis heureux de voir ça.

Endroit magnifique, je le recommande vivement. Après avoir parcouru la rocade en van pendant deux jours, quel bonheur de retrouver un environnement aussi propre, esthétique et calme pour y passer la nuit ! Le petit-déjeuner était un vrai régal : il est rare qu'un petit-déjeuner d'hôtel ait le goût d'un repas fait maison !

We slept well. Our room was the golf course view. The 9 hole informal golf course was a pleasant surprise. We played in the morning after breakfast as a morning walking exercise.

Entorno privilegiado, casa muy coqueta. Cama cómoda e incluso cojines extras por si necesitábamos. Desayuno bueno,la anfitriona nos dejó en la nevera comida a nuestra disposición. A la casa no le faltaba ningún detalle, zapatillas, chaquetas por si teníamos frío. Aparte de la cocina, tenía otra ”zona” con Sillones con cafetera Nespresso al lado y tacitas,libros,... Se nota que la casa está preparada con ”mimo” para que nos sintamos a gusto. A mejorar las toallas que ya estaban demasiado usadas, eso sí, limpias.

Surprisingly an amazing place, I was not expecting such a pretty location too. The nearby hiking trail between Hellnar to Arnarstapi was beautiful. Probably one of the best bookings during my Iceland trip because the room was a good size, with lots of various storage space options, and many great amentities. I appreciated the mini fridge and kettle which isn’t really common in Iceland hotels. The bathroom was nice and clean too. Staff were friendly! Just a fantastic place!
