If you are planning to stay at Mercure Iguazu Hotel Iru, do yourself a favor: read their pre-arrival emails for the entertainment value, but never actually book their ”exclusive” private car service. Unless, of course, you’ve had a few too many glasses of Malbec and feel like donating your money to a creative writing project. Here’s why the hotel’s transport service is a ”must-avoid”: The front desk will happily quote you a price that is roughly 130% of the market rate (think 60,000 Pesos when the standard round-trip to the National Park is 40,000). They’ll justify this with flowery language about it being a ”private service” and the costs of ”empty legs.” That ”luxury” private car? It’s just a slightly cleaner-than-average van or a 7-seater SUV. If that’s worth a 50% markup to you, you’ll love it  I arranged a pickup for 2:00 PM. I even messaged the driver at 1:50 PM to confirm I’d be ready by 2:10 PM. In a stunning display of ”Mercure time,” the driver finally graced me with his presence at 2:45 PM. I suppose I should thank God he wasn't over an hour late, but sitting at the park entrance for 35 minutes while paying ”premium” rates really added that extra sparkle to my trip. The hotel is fine, but their transport service is a blatant scam wrapped in a ”private car” label. Save your money, call a local taxi or use a ride-hailing app, and spend that 20,000 Peso difference on literally anything else. You’ll get to the park faster and with much less resentment.

Very helpful staff. The hotel is not the most modern, but the beds were comfortable, the restaurant food was tasty, and everyone extremely helpful with any questions. Bus stop is right in front so it's easy to get around. Was great for our stay to the falls.

Excellent location, right beside the bus stop which is the main means of transportation in the city. Close to good restaurants. Well spoken (english) receptionist and very friendly and helpful (Thank you Ivan for arranging the boat trip). Only inconvenience for me was, no electric water heater (for coffee) in room, have to walk to the lobby every time. Room was really spacious, toilet was clean but small. Anyway, its a good place to book.

El hotel está muy venido a menos con respecto al mantenimiento. El spa atiende solo 5 horas al día y es difícil conseguir turnos para la cantidad de huéspedes del hotel, y si reservamos a las 15, podemos ingresar a las 16 porque tardan 1 hora en llenar el hidromasaje y el personal no llega hasta las 15. El restaurante no abre de noche, por lo que hay que ir a cenar al hotel de al lado, a unos 150 metros de noche y sobre la ruta. Lo mejor del hotel, el servicio del restaurante y la atención de altura y rocio.

Nous sommes arrivés avant 9 h et nous avons pu nous rendre dans notre chambre. La chambre était spacieuse et avait de bonnes vues. Rien de luxe mais serve son but bien. Voir la photo. Le petit déjeuner n'était pas fabuleux mais décent. Il y a 2 piscines. Une au niveau du sol, une au 9ème étage. Vous pouvez remplir vos bouteilles au lycée, essentiellement tout ce que j'avais besoin.

L'hôtel est un peu excentré ; il se trouve à environ un kilomètre du centre-ville et à un kilomètre de la gare routière. Les installations sont plutôt vétustes ; il semble s'agir d'un hôtel local racheté par Marriott puis rebaptisé.

L'hôtel Lillian est confortablement situé less qu'à 5 minutes de marche à la gare d'autobus.  Il y a beaucoup de restaurants et il est à pied pour faire beaucoup d'attractions dans la ville. Le personnel a été très utile avec des informations et agréablement  répondit à toutes mes questions, même en me prêtant un adaptateur électrique . Le petit déjeuner est assez mélangé, composé seulement de café, de jus et de diverses pâtes.

Некрасивое место, удобная комната, есть все необходимое, приятный бонус в виде бассейна на территории, гамаки и зоны для пикника. Вкусные завтраки , приятный персонал. К сожалению, мало кто из них говорит по-английски, но это не было проблемой, общались через приложения. Расположение off the beaten track,  так что передвигаться возможно в основном только на машине-такси: до водопадов и до аэропорта цена 30000 песо. До ближайшего ресторана идти 20 минут пешком вдоль дороги, супермаркетов в шаговой доступности нет.
