From the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. Our stay at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation in Davao was truly a memorable family experience and exactly what you would expect from a high-end 5-star resort. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and well thought out for both adults and kids. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful swimming pools, pristine beachfront, and a wide range of water and land activities that kept the whole family entertained throughout our stay. Dining was a highlight. Every meal was consistently excellent, and having an onsite Starbucks was a great bonus for those quick coffee breaks in between activities. Breakfast each morning was especially impressive — a fantastic spread with high quality options that set the tone for the day. What truly made the experience stand out, however, was the team. Special thanks to Joshua and Clarise — with Clarise showing excellent management in complicated situations — as well as Dominic and Ralphe, for their outstanding service and genuine hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth, enjoyable, and complete. This is a place that delivers on both luxury and warmth — perfect for families looking for a relaxing yet engaging getaway. We will definitely be back in September.

Le ménage est très confortable et très confortable. Je ne peux que me plaindre de leurs réponses aux médias sociaux, téléphones et courriels, qui répondent très lentement ou pas. 1. J'ai demandé un transfert du Discovery Samal Welcome Center à leur Marina Wharf. Ils ont dit qu'ils enverraient une voiture à 1 h, mais il n'y avait personne. J'ai suivi par le voyage dot com messages, pas de réponse. J'ai appelé leur numéro mobile, décliné! Ils ont répondu qu'ils étaient en pause de déjeuner! Nous étions en presse parce que nous devons être dans leur cabine avant 14 h pour leur instruction. 2. Le transfert de bateau de la marine à la resort a été annulé en raison de grandes vagues. Je comprends. On nous a dit que nous allions voyager par terre. Nous avons conduit un camion, en ligne pour être transféré via RORO (oui, le transfert du navire) qui nous a pris 2 heures de friction juste pour nous redresser!! Nous avons fait un voyage de 3 heures pour arriver à l'hôtel. Nous sommes dans un resort de 5 étoiles mais ils ne peuvent pas faire quelque chose pour rendre l'attente/l'aménagement dans le RORO un peu plus rapide?? J'ai vu le conducteur payer 20/passenger pour conduire le RORO (non vérifié). Le site est très bien placé pour vous aider à trouver un accès à l'internet. Les chambres sont très confortables et sont très confortables.

Location is good as it is near the airport and the city. Breakfast buffet is superb! Pools are big and clean. Staffs are helpful. Good and fast internet connection. My only prob is that TV is useless. No cable, not installed with netflix or internet. So no entertainment if you’re in room. But overall, its a really nice hotel and affordable.

It could have been a beautiful and relaxing stay if the resort had been properly maintained and kept clean. Unfortunately, there were quite a few flies around the room, which became annoying, and the smell of the room was not very inviting. The water from the faucet was also brownish in color and had a salty taste, which was quite disappointing. Nevertheless, I truly commend the courteous, friendly, and attentive staff who did their best to make us comfortable despite these concerns. The resort itself is beautiful and has so much potential. The craftsmanship of the furniture and fixtures is quite exceptional and clearly reflects quality and attention to detail. However, it seems that the resort’s cleanliness and maintenance have been overlooked. With the price we paid—which is even higher than some 5-star hotels—I honestly feel that the experience was not worth the cost. It is a beautiful resort, and with proper maintenance, cleanliness, and attention to the overall guest experience, it could truly live up to its worth.

I was wild by the staff the moment I arrived every interaction was courteous, polite, and professional. I’ve stayed a lot at Shangri-La properties, and Dusit did not disappoint. I even required medical help due to an illness. I got prior to arrival and the on staff nurse and duty manager were amazing in getting me healthy with an in room IV and taking great care of me.   I can’t wait to stay here again

L'espace était bon, le voyage est pour une entreprise. Il est près du centre de Tori, donc il est un peu accessible.

Propre mais comme les femmes de ménage venaient de terminer avant de remettre la chambre, elles n'ont pas réapprovisionné les serviettes et le tapis de sol de la salle de bain

Demandez Nancy! Elle vous fera passer le meilleur moment ici ! Cet hôtel a dépassé toutes mes attentes. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et joliment décorée avec un mobilier moderne. Le lit était incroyablement confortable et j’ai passé une bonne nuit de sommeil. Le restaurant de l'hôtel servait une cuisine délicieuse et le personnel était toujours sympathique et arrangeant. L'emplacement était parfait, avec un accès facile aux transports en commun et aux attractions à proximité. Je reviendrais sans hésiter dans cet hôtel et je le recommande vivement à d'autres.
