Hôtels 3 étoiles à Cornouailles, Royaume-Uni

Ok I’ll start with positives. The location is literally adjacent to St Ives railway station and the beach so if you don’t like walking the hotel is great for this. Hotel itself is on a steep hill, walking downhill to the main port/shops is about 5/10mins. Now the hotel. First impression of reception desk is great, looks clean and new and the reception staff were very friendly but then it went downhill from there. The “luggage storage” room was a room that anyone could access particularly with the back door of the room wide open to the back of the hotel and yard. So i would be concerned leaving anything valuable. Our room was 313 on the third floor. Ridiculously warm with a basic tower fan for cooling, there was tea and coffee facilities that were good. The standard quality of the room was poor. Bedding was poor quality very uncomfortable only one pillow..if you could call it that. I would advise management to supervise housekeeping more and do room checks as the cleanliness was poor. As you entered you were greeted by a weird smell of damp. The view of the one window was great of the sea and beach but marred by the dirty seagull poop window and worn mouldy window frame, dirty dust on the sill. It’s not hard to clean a window and window frame or get a maintenance person to reseal the edges of the window or put a temporary rubber sealant till a new window frame is fitted. The bath tub panel had a crack hole in it which could cause a cut if I wasn’t carefully paying attention and a used soap in the shower. Orange yellowing in the grouting around the bath/shower. Limescale bathroom foam spray helps with this. This room desperately needs to be refurbished or renovated. I highly recommend watching Four in a bed or The Hotel Inspector in how to manage your rooms. The other room was room 11? backed onto the courtyard. A little better high ceilings, airy and cool looked like it had a repaint but again the shower room had a strong smell of urine. Other than that reception desk staff friendly, when mentioned the urine smell they got housekeeping to clean again, just a shame it takes other team members to slack somewhat on housekeeping and let the team down. More supervision is required. More maintenance. Look don’t be put off by this review like I said location is great. Just be really specific with your room choice ie, renovated room-show photos you’ve seen on website so you know what room you’re getting.

La salle de vue de la mer, les fenêtres sont superbes, il y a un petit-déjeuner simple (valeur approximativement 12 livres), la nourriture dans le restaurant de l'hôtel est très bonne, beaucoup de gens font jour, le vendredi a un buffet officiel (15.5 super bon marché), plein de couleurs, il est tout simplement très facile de manger un sentiment de sucre, donc c'est bon marché, Je n'ai pas peur que les invités mangent beaucoup, mais il y a encore plus de ～ à avoir goûté ça une fois.

It was excellent. A lot of unreasonable bad reviews about this place but the cleaniness was fine, facilities more than adequate, and the staff was friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent as well, again great staff, and the food produced looked like the chef took it seriously too. i.e. homemade tartar sauce, homemade sweet chilli sauce, fresh battered fish. Good beer selection on draught too.

Really loved that it was so easy to check in , an ideal location with a beautiful breathtaking view , the room was worth the price it was immaculate and had everything we needed , staff were very friendly and accommodating . The reception staff member even took our bags to look after for a few hours after we checked out to avoid us having to lug them about . Compliments to the staff

We absolutely loved our stay here and would happily return again — in fact, we have already decided to come back next year! This place feels much more like a warm, welcoming family guest house than a typical hotel. The wonderful couple who run the house were incredibly friendly, kind and polite throughout our stay. From the very beginning, my wife and I felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. It honestly felt like staying at our grandparents’ house. We were treated almost like their own children, and that personal warmth made our three-night stay truly special. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The lady prepared wonderful breakfasts for us, with her husband helping as well, and every morning felt very personal and homely. The house itself was spotless and perfectly clean throughout our entire stay. The location is also excellent — Carbis Bay train station is only about a three-minute walk away, which is extremely convenient for exploring Cornwall. We also had no real problems with parking. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast and reliable too. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The combination of the beautiful house, perfect cleanliness, great location, delicious breakfasts and, most importantly, the kindness of the owners made our stay memorable. Thank you so much for making us feel at home. We will definitely be back next year!

L'hôtel est très bon, très bon endroit propre, à part les marais sur le toit de la fenêtre de chambre, ils avaient des bébés faisant un bruit et il n'y avait pas de parking.

Il a été très bon hôtel. Le bon propriétaire et la tante m'ont salu et la chambre d'hôtel était si propre que j'ai dormi de miel. En particulier si vous voulez expérience d'un B&B britannique, faites une réservation. 10 sur 10. Le prix et la propreté sont plus élevés que d'autres endroits. Il y a une plage près de l'hôtel et le restaurant est dans le centre-ville du Mexique. Il y a un petit pub à l'hôtel, vous pourrez boire un verre ce soir. Parce qu'il est un oncle en Angleterre, il n'y a pas de bonté excessive, mais il y a une bonté confortable et un swamp. J'espère que vous courez un hôtel pendant longtemps. ❤️

A really great stay on top of Tregenna hill overlooking St Ives. The hotel has multiple buildings and lots of facilities. Great for lovely walks with views and sitting and watching the ocean. We stayed in Lowarth which is a self-contained building with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an upstairs kitchen and living area. It was really quiet and comfortable!

A lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines. The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice. We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at £15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction.  We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover.
