It was excellent. A lot of unreasonable bad reviews about this place but the cleaniness was fine, facilities more than adequate, and the staff was friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent as well, again great staff, and the food produced looked like the chef took it seriously too. i.e. homemade tartar sauce, homemade sweet chilli sauce, fresh battered fish. Good beer selection on draught too.
During our three-day stay at The St Ives Bay Hotel, we had a memorable and relaxing experience as a couple. Our beach-view room was an absolute delight, offering stunning vistas of the ocean right from our window. The gentle sounds of the waves crashing on the shore were incredibly soothing, making every morning and evening special.
The room itself was spacious, providing more than enough room to unwind and truly feel at ease. We appreciated the hotel’s accessibility, with both bus and train services conveniently close by, making it easy for us to explore the charming town of St Ives and its beautiful surroundings. This convenience added an extra layer of ease to our holiday.
On top of everything, the hotel’s rates were budget-friendly, offering excellent value for such a great location and amenities. For couples seeking a comfortable and scenic getaway, The St Ives Bay Hotel is a wonderful option that doesn’t break the bank. We’d love to return!
Beautiful hotel grand entrance good history. Total let down on the bedroom the toilet and shower belongs in a 1960 caravan. Dirty carpet dirty walls. Dirty bed with ***** hair Certain didn’t fit the windows. I probably should have got an upgrade.

The Premier Inn suited our purpose but can’t say the same for restaurant next door!
Biggest complaint was the fact no toilet paper in disabled toilet! Really embarrassing situation and the floor generally needed a good scrub. Noticed mirrors in restaurant could do with a shine, table tops were sticky, window ledges outside have obviously not been cleaned for months and skirting boards the same . It generally needs a good overhaul. Food nothing to write home about and very mediocre. This sadly reflects on the
Premier and would think twice about staying again.
Sorry to be the bearer of this sad report but being honest l.

IInvitéA lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines.
The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home
The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice.
We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at £15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction.
We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover.
RRip RipClassic English hotel, my room was recently updated and clean; strange not to have daily cleaning service.
Small Single room with sea view was expected and very cosy. Appreciate the soft, thick new carpet. Also the single armchair was well used to enjoy sitting by window for the view.
Bathroom was brand new, modern and didn’t blend into environment which is a shame. The water from shower was either too hot or cold; also the shower head could not be fixed into the rail so needed holding up.
Restaurant meal was very nice, service was especially friendly and attentive.
I would stay again in the near future but remind other guests considering that this is a 3 star hotel so you should appreciate that this is meeting the expectations of this grading.
Overall daily service at hotel reception was well appreciated and always greeted when passing . Well done and thank you to the hotel staff!
IInvitéClean, comfortable room with good heating - which was appreciated during a cold snap that coincided with our visit. The wi-fi was reliable, and there was a TV, tea and coffee making equipment and a modern bathroom. Contrary to what some other reviews say, the beds are comfortable with good pillows. There is no fridge or in-room safe, but we did not require those things. The staff were friendly and bar and restaurant facilities were available if required. The ”full Cornish” breakfast was good although not over large. The location is excellent for a range of local services and beaches. Constructive suggestion: add a soap tray in the shower. even if this is just one that clips on to the shower head riser bar.
IInvitéEverything we needed for a weekend break. Loved the names of the apartments, quirky. Plenty of lights and a lovely colour changing mirror in the bathroom. The owner was very helpful. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided, along with towels, t-towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid and multi purpose cleaner. Cutlery, plates, dishes and mugs as well as a microwave, toaster, table and chairs. A lovely bathroom and plenty of room/space. Unfortunately we found the mattress not firm enough and not that we watch the television just put it on to wind down before going to bed. You couldn't watch live TV. You needed to log in on Netflix and channels like that to watch anything. That said we had a lovely weekend break

IInvitéThe hotel itself catered for our specific needs, nice big room, warm, lovely bed, hot shower, tea, coffee, biscuits in room. Swimming pool and gym on-site which were fab. The hotel is a typical seaside hotel, dated and could use a paint job and windows need a clean but this didn't bother us. Breakfast was lovely, your usual help yourself to cereal, toast, croissant, jam, butter, yogurt, fruits etc plus you can request a hot breakfast e.g. fry up, eggs benedict etc. The hotel is right on the seafront, about a 10min walk from Falmouth Town station and 20min walk into town. Staff were helpful and friendly.
