The Brownsville overlook is the place to be at this time of year if you want to see tundra swans
A beautiful sunshiny day at the Brownsville, MN overlook of the Mississippi river. Not too many tundra swans, but lots of ducks, lots of fresh air made for a perfect day

Decent bird watching spot
Good bird watching spots, hundreds if not thousands of Tundra swans, mallards etc. Parking space right next to it, bring a binocular or 500mm+ photography lens!

Wide open views of the Mississippi
Driving down the Mississippi to see it in its flood stage. Great spot to stop and view. One way entrance from the south with angle parking. Good views, info kiosk.
