The Arts District is Downtown’s cultural hub, known for the strikingly angular Meyerson Symphony Center, the lavish Winspear Opera House and the Dallas Museum of Art, with its vast collection spanning ancient times to the present. The Nasher Sculpture Center exhibits modern masterpieces in a verdant setting, while the Crow Collection of Asian Art displays religious and secular pieces from diverse eras and cultures.
A concentrated location of culture, fun, food. Too much to explain. Check out the map and the details at these links. http://www.thedallasartsdistrict.org/http://www.thedallasartsdistrict.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/DADGuide_Map_2015-2.pdf

Dallas has done a really great job building up the arts district in downtown. We've had (and loved) The Meyerson (our I.M. Pei), The Nasher Sculpture Center and the DMA, and now it all culminates in the wonderful city space in front of One Arts Plaza with the Winspear Opera House, Wyly Theater and the Performing Arts Center. The arts district is just a short walk from the train station at Pearl and also just south of Klyde Warren Park, making for a great day in the city with a lot of beautiful architecture to see. You can even snag a fancy meal at Tei-An or Proof and Pantry in the One Arts Plaza building before going to the symphony or the opera.
