Wonderful historic site
Incredible massive old pit mine. Can really get a good view from the parking lot area. However information signs needed to be replace and the parking and viewing area in general need to be fixed up.

Very cool but limited as in NO access
This is a cool spot to drive into and take a look at. Understandably, you're not allowed to enter into the premises.

A must see
It is amazing how deep it is. Pictures don't do it justice. The water is fairly clear and you can see from into the water. It is fed naturally.

Visited in the winter and the water in the mine had solidified. The icicles on the edges and the ice lake looked like an exclusive ice skating rink and had a different beauty to it. Worth checking o...
