off the beaten path
A small park on Lake Winnisquam away from the Winnipesaukee side of Laconia. Not much upkeep being done and not much parking but a pretty view of the lake. Also no bathrooms.

My favorite spot to get away
My favorite place to go when I need to escape and get some peace and quiet. It’s a great place to walk, swim, meditate, read. It does not get very busy and is beautiful year round.

Beach trip with dog
Great hidden gem. This place came recommended to take the dog and we all had a blast. Quick hike to the lake and had the beach to ourselves except for a few people walking by. Highly recommended.

Tough to find
This is a tough to find park. GPS left us just short of the entrance and, ironically enough, when I pulled off a little further up the road to get my bearings, I noticed the sign for the park. Like me...

Quiet and close by
Ahern Park is very quiet so it's nice to walk the well marked trails. You can snowshoe in the winter.
