La chambre était spacieuse avec une cuisine ouverte. Le canapé du salon se transformait facilement en lit. Une station de tramway se trouve à proximité, ainsi qu'un petit supermarché et plusieurs restaurants ; le bâtiment Q1 est situé en face. La réception est au deuxième étage, mais nous sommes arrivés en soirée et elle était déjà fermée. Le numéro de téléphone d'un agent de sécurité était affiché au rez-de-chaussée ; il nous a apporté la clé de la chambre. Pour un voyage en famille, une chambre plus spacieuse est sans aucun doute plus confortable qu'une chambre d'hôtel. Dans l'ensemble, nous étions satisfaits. Le point négatif de Brisbane a été le magasin WHSmith de l'aéroport. Lorsque nous avons voulu nous faire rembourser notre GoCard, le personnel nous a froidement indiqué qu'ils avaient atteint leur limite de remboursements et ne pouvaient plus en effectuer.

Juste en dessous de l'hôtel se trouve un supermarché Woolworths. L'emplacement est idéal, proche de tout. La chambre est spacieuse. Le service est un peu lent, mais ça va. J'ai envoyé un e-mail pour une petite demande, mais je n'ai pas eu de réponse. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai passé un très bon séjour et je reviendrai probablement.

We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

Good location with tram stop at doorstep. Sara at the reception was great, offered us early check in and late check out and upgraded us to 23rd floor. Room was very spacious, a bit dated but very well maintained. Amazing sea & skyline from the balcony, might feel a bit daunting as very narrow. Room has a coffee machine. Bathroom is spacious but shower door was very mouldy. The revolving restaurant on 26th floor had 270 degree view of the surroundings. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to take photos although we didnt eat there. Pool and deck on the ground floor is good with a heated jacuzzi. The lifts are on the outside with views of the hinterland. There is a restaurant in the lobby. Although a bit pricey, would definitely stay again.

First, our request for a high floor was kindly accommodated—we were given room 11825 on the 18th floor, which features panoramic ocean views and elegant interiors. Many thanks to your team for that. In fact, my wife has a special request: could we please have this same room every time we stay at Dorsett? Second, the thoughtful gesture of a card, chocolate, and a bottle of wine for our special occasion truly showed how much effort your team puts into making guests feel valued. Third, both my wife and our child absolutely loved the pool and jacuzzi at Star Grand. So overall, our stay was amazing, to say the least. But none of this would be possible without first acknowledging your wonderful hotel staff. You probably see hundreds of guests each day, yet you still take a personalized approach—staying in touch with each guest and understanding their individual needs. Honestly, I hope other hotels will follow your example and make this the gold standard for excellence in customer service. Our last two hotel bookings through Trip.com were disappointing, but fortunately, your hotel never lets us down. The gold-accented interiors are striking and have become a signature look of your hotel. We’ll remember them just as fondly as we remember landing at Singapore Changi Airport. We recently bought a new house and have been decorating with gold-colored furniture from Koala Living. After staying with you, we’ve realized that our inspiration was inadvertently drawn from your hotel rooms. We come to Dorsett every year and have never been disappointed. We look forward to returning again soon.

L'hôtel Novotel pour familles est idéalement situé, à proximité du tramway et de nombreux restaurants. Le service et le personnel sont excellents. Cependant, je pense qu'il aurait besoin d'une rénovation. La moquette marron foncé est peu agréable au toucher, car on ne sait pas si elle est vraiment propre. De plus, la baignoire des toilettes est en plastique, ce qui, personnellement, ne me convient pas pour prendre une douche. Quant à la propreté, j'ai été très déçue de trouver une tache sur l'oreiller ! Cela m'a refroidie et m'a fait douter de la propreté du reste de l'établissement.

J'y ai séjourné plusieurs fois et j'ai toujours passé un agréable séjour. Propre et confortable. La piscine est un atout supplémentaire, même s'il n'y a pas beaucoup de places assises autour. Le personnel est sympathique et l'emplacement est parfait. Mon seul reproche concerne la caution : même lorsque je la demande, elle n'est pas remboursée. J'ai dû passer par ma banque à chaque fois pour la récupérer. J'ai peut-être simplement été malchanceux, mais l'hôtel ne m'a jamais remboursée ; j'ai toujours dû faire une demande auprès de ma banque pour la récupérer.

An absolutely excellent place stay, would recommend, even just based on the staff and the breakfast. I observed that great care was taken of people checking in to stay who would be going to the hospitals local to the area. Check-in was so easy, and the reception staff was very kind. Things I loved: * the included healthy breakfast, * free on-site parking *Ferrari in the reception area (no idea why it's there, and I'm no car enthusiast, but it is a classy touch) * very friendly and kind staff * neat and good layout of room * comfortable bed * good air conditioning * friendly people throughout the building * walking distance to Chermside shopping centre * excellent price Thing I didn't like as much: * not really sound-proofed, you sometimes hear sounds from other rooms and hallways * the balcony area did have a bit of a smell in the early evening, dissuading me from eating outside until later on - this might have just been the day I stayed. It was nice enough later to leave the door open and have a bit of a breeze while sleeping. Highly recommended.

We weren't happy with the first room but they were more than happy to accommodate a room change. Very happy with where we stayed.
