FFindingGemsFirstly, I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel branch (perhaps this specific branch only). I have previously stayed at your hotels in other cities and have consistently experienced friendly service and good cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, this stay fell far below expectations.
We arrived at the hotel at approximately 7pm+ for check-in. During the process, both a female and a male staff member requested to verify my booking/ paid rates. As the booking was made and fully paid through this platform, I found this request unnecessary and inappropriate. Nevertheless, I did not pursue the matter further, as my priority was simply to have a comfortable stay with my family.
The room booked was a “Deluxe Family Room” (豪华家庭房). However, the room design is highly unsuitable for a family, especially with two teenage child (male 14yrs old and female 11yrs old).
The toilet door is fully see trough. In addition, the shower area must accessed through the toilet and is also separated by a clear glass panel (see through). The basin is located directly outside the toilet and shower area. All glass panel are see through.. In summary, the entire bathroom layout lacks basic privacy.
This design is unacceptable for a family room. Our child is not a young child or baby. Due to the lack of privacy, we had no choice but to carefully coordinate toilet and shower usage between male and female family members, which caused significant inconvenience and discomfort.
My wife contacted the front desk to raise this concern. Unfortunately, the staff did not offer any meaningful solution, alternative room arrangement, or upgrade option (we are okay with or without additional charges). just answered to us ”我们的设计就这样“. As a result, we had no choice but to endure the situation for 3days 2 nights.
The following morning, at approximately 9am+, a technician was working directly outside our room to repair storeroom locks. The repeated hammering noises caused significant disturbance while we were still sleeping. It is common sense for such maintenance work to be scheduled after 11:00 am, or at the very least, conducted with prior guest notification or consent.
I have retained photo evidence to support the above points and have made no false claims.
Given the issues highlighted, I am extremely disappointed with both the room design and the service response. This experience does not reflect the standards expected from your hotel brand, especially considering my positive experiences at other locations under the Huazhu group (华主会集团).
P.S. This so-called 豪华家庭房 is priced at USD 200+ per night, without breakfast, which makes the overall experience even more unacceptable.
I sincerely hope the management will take this feedback seriously, as it may otherwise risk losing overseas guests who have been loyal to your hotel group over the years.
