When I was about to check out, the receptionist told me that I hadn’t paid the city tax, even though I had already paid it in coins when I checked in. I was surprised at first, but it turned out that the receptionist who checked me in had forgotten to record the payment in their system. Fortunately, everything was sorted out. All good! The staff were very kind and gave me a lower bed because I can’t climb to the upper bed.

Arrivée après-midi, réception à la réception était bien, tout était bien réglé. Pouvaient passer immédiatement aux chambres et réserver une table de six personnes pour le dîner. Le repas de la carte était une bonne et large choix. Les chambres étaient belles et les lits dormaient bien. Vous êtes aussi ravi de pouvoir entrer dans l'hôtel avec votre veste de chambre la nuit

房間很乾凈，早飯比較簡單，酒店周邊都是草地樹林，非常接近大自然，有很大的停車場，公共交通不方便。旁邊有麥當勞

La chambre était propre, belle relation qualité prix. Un utilisation agréable du buffet de déjeuner et le service était sublime.

Je me sens bien, les plats du restaurant en bas sont très bons, les gens locaux aiment déjeuner ici. Le restaurant est également un endroit où manger le petit-déjeuner demain et le design est très bon. L'hôtel est très pratique d'exécuter, ici je m'ajoute beaucoup d'impression sur Groningan.

The hotel is right in the centre of Veendam, and whilst it's not luxurious, it's clean and comfortable. The bar is excellent, their own beers are also very good, and there's a wide range of others available should you prefer. The food in the restaurant was also pretty good, being tasty and generous. We'll certainly be back!

From the moment I stepped into The Happy Traveler Hotel, I felt genuinely welcomed. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I appreciated how they offered local tips that truly enhanced my stay. The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with both comfort and practicality in mind. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the linens fresh, and the bathroom sparkling clean. I especially loved the little touches—like complimentary snacks, quality toiletries, and a cozy reading nook—that made the space feel personal and inviting. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. Situated close to key attractions, public transport, and charming cafes, it made exploring the city effortless. Despite being centrally located, my room was wonderfully quiet at night, ensuring a restful sleep after a day of adventure.
